Loved it! Gorgeous property

Luxurious, spacious, beautifully furnished and appointed. The staff is marvelous. I don't recommend the restaurant on site, which is under different management.

Very clean and nice and cozy perfect for all romantic weekend

The staff were amazing and the location is great. The two bedroom unit we stayed in had badly stained carpet and the walls were paper this and we could hear conversations of our neighbors.
Also limited ways to get to the room and if you have bags, good luck.

It was a delightful stay in such a historic building and town. Highly recommend.

We had a delightful dinner at Krazy Kats a restaurant on hotel property. Everything was walkable, the cottage was charming and in excellent condition. Highly recommend spending a few nights here to relax and recharge.

It is hard to transfer luggage to the room...lots of steps involved and it was a hot day

Just small changes would make this property 5 star
*get a coffee maker that doesn’t spill half of the coffee
*clean out the ice maker for each visitor….very bad taste
*upgrade the ceiling fan….it sounded like it was going to fall on us in the middle of the night
*maybe have a small option for drinks or snacks before 5 to keep your guests on property
Otherwise, very quaint, beautiful location!

We loved this historic property. The room was really nice and secluded, but an easy walk. The robes were so comfortable that we ended up buying two of them when we checked out. I would definitely go back here again.

The room was awesome, very clean and nicely decorated. The restaurant on the property, Krazy Kat’s was fantastic.

We had a fabulous stay. We wanted to feel luxurious without too much extravagance, and thought this place was it! After looking into the history of Montchanin, I am honored to have stayed here. For starters we were able to check in a little early and our room was available. We then took in all the amenities and were pleased with it all. They have a fitness center, a luxury spa, a concierge. Ample parking, and the village is quaint and time capsuled. I had a very nice walk in the crevices and walkways of the village. Each building had a distinct look. We overlooked the railyard at the back of the building. Not sure if they are still operational but we didn’t hear anything in our stay there. We also reserved Brunch at Krazy Kate restaurant and it did not disappoint. We had a fabulous time!

Suites are spacious and situated in a village like atmosphere. Restaurant is a short walk and food was great.

Very average in every way. Updating facility is sorely needed.

The Inn was a beautiful and serene place to stay. The food at Krazy Kats was delicious as well. We would definitely recommend both the Inn and the restaurant.

very unique property. A cluster of homes from early 1900s comprising the rental units. For us it was right by the the Brandywine sites and so was very convenient. Also pricing was good and a nice restaurant available too.

I was charged twice for the room .
Desk manager said it was a mistake made by a new employee and would be corrected. That has not happened yet!
Also the expedia rate was $50.00 higher then the hotel rate. Doesn’t seem fair !
I may never ise expedia again!

Even after I asked for cleaning of room on the second day, I had to wait for another day.

Very nice place. One of the cleanest hotels we've stayed at. We only got to stay 1 night but we will definitely be back when visiting our family in Delaware.

Really enjoyed this historic property with lots of character and charm.

I like everything except the service when I was checking out. Unfriendly!

Charming individual townhomes from old millworker houses. Lovely period furnishings and luxurious bathrooms. Small coffee/fridge/microwave, we brought extra coffee and drinks. The area is pretty isolated and quiet, short drive to restaurants. Very convenient to brandywine attractions.

Unexpected - very cute, old school inn

The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are well kept and the buildings are charming. The suite was clean and bright! Bring your K-Cups otherwise you have to walk to get coffee in the main barn.

My Aunt and I stayed the weekend. We really enjoyed the ambiance of the place and the wonderful restaurant on the premises, with delicious if pricey food. The hotel is close to everything, but still quiet and has a country feel. I highly recommend this historic hotel.

This was our 7th stay. Truly a home away from home. We will be back!

The Inn at Montchanin is a lovely setting. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but could use a little updating.
5.0
The bathroom was spacious and excellent with walk-in shower, large tub and heated towel racks.

We LOVED our room the only suggestion is it could have used lamps on both sides of the bed instead of only one, it was a little dark.
4.0
A very lovely property, however could use a refresh on towels (a little frayed) and pillows (flat). We also received a message through Expedia from the Hotel regarding changes to service instituted with Covid, including grab and go breakfast being standard M-F, but were told by front desk on Monday morning that breakfast was eliminated a while ago. Minor things, all in all.
4.0
Individual cottage-type rooms that are tastefully decorated. Heating/AC wasn't working. Room didn't cool below 75 degrees.
5.0
Lovely property in a cluster of separate homes now made into hotel rooms. Nice surprising extras like NYTimes, big frig with some complimentary beverages, and silverware enabling take-out.
5.0
I love staying at this hotel- the staff is very accommodating and involved. Plus it is a charming area and the rooms are wonderful! Look forward to coming back soon!

Great place to stay. Historic, convenient & well located. The staff were very accommodating. Loved it.

We paid over $400 a night for a room that didn’t have enough lightening, with worn out decor and a room where we heard every truck, ambulance and train that went by. Never again.

It was a very old, homie, comfy cozy kinda feel, with a touch of new 👌 it was awsome definitely will be returning and the soaker tubs was that!
