It was close to town, but you did need to walk up a LOT of steps. Something to be aware of. The breakfast was tasty and the place was quaint and comfortable. The bed was wonderful.

We had a very relaxing experience. The Galena Inn has much character (loved this) and history. Breakfast changed each day which was nice. The staff worked hard to care for our needs and requests. We’ll be back!

It's a cool looking place. Friendly and welcoming staff. I felt like our room was kind of musty and the best and pillow weren't the most comfortable. There are nice porches and balconies to sit out on in nice weather. And you can easily walk to Main Street if you don't mind a million stairs. It's an old place so there aren't a lot of outlets for your devices.

Liked for all the reasons noted above. Disliked due to difficulty finding the property. On-line maps from website very poor. Once in the Galena area, little to no cell service available to get directions from Google Maps. Frustrating!

We enjoyed our overnight for our anniversary. The staff was very professional and accommodating. We had a plumbing issue and they resolved it while we were at dinner. Breakfast was delightful. We enjoyed the Blackhawk room.

This is beautifully unique property located within easy walking distance of downtown Galena. The Loft has a separate entrance and is spacious and well appointed. Highly recommend!

We stayed in the Etsy room. The room was nice and clean however the hot top was dirty when we filled it up. The breakfast was good both days and the gaming room was nice. Really close to Main Street.

We spent the weekend in the Blackhawk suite. We were greeted by inn keeper LeAnn upon arrival and given a short tour and lead to our suite. Or suite had multiple rooms and was very spacious and clean. We used the new jacuzzi at night and got very peaceful sleep. The morning breakfast was delicious with breakfast casserole, ham, sausage, fresh fruit and pastries. Do not pay attention to any negative posts. We had a wonderful stay in this historic property. I would highly recommend it to anybody wanting a unique couples getaway.
