Very big and spacious farmhouse. Loved everything about the house. Lots of heaters in the rooms, passages and even electric blankets. More than enough furniture and cupboards to pack stuff in. Comfortable and clean bathrooms with hot water for shower and bath. Beautiful pond and very scenic nature all around. Could walk into the woods, orchards, around the ponds, enjoy the birds and all the beautiful trees. Even in the dead of winter it's beautiful. Can't wait to go in summer and see even more greenery.
Would like to have WiFi to keep in touch with family and friends.

Beautiful location. The unit had everything I needed including a kitchenette, a small lounge to relax, a good shower, and a comfy bed.
While I understand the appeal of a no signal/wifi experience, I would have liked the option of a unit with wifi.

The house was fully equipped. The scenery was beautiful and serene.
The beds were extremely uncomfortable and extremely hard. I didn't sleep at all for 3 days. Please look at this. Everything else was fantastic.

AMAZING!! The hosts have an extraordinary product! The fact that there is no Internet...........FANTASTIC!! Truly get away from it all. Linen is clean! Shower is Clean! Kitchen is Clean!
May I SUGGEST? Allan builds a Braai where the current braai stands? Dunno how long the mobile braai will last with high occupancies, and always nice to make a big bonfire for your braai coals later. I would suggest, the low wall gets extended on the other side of the brick entrance paving and include the Braai in this area.

The beautiful grounds. The seclusion. The electric blankets were lovely
That the fireplace in lounge jot working.

It's quiet and firewood is provided. Janene is lovely and very accommodating when it comes to the deposit and making adjustments to the booking.
The house was freezing and the fireplace did very little to improve the situation. The electric blanket on my husband's side of the bed didn't work and we only discovered this after the office closed. The doorknob of the bathroom doesn't turn so the only way to shut the door is to slam it. Not ideal for a family where the kids go to the loo during the night. The pillows are terrible (my neck is till sore) and the bed is too soft to promote a good night's sleep.

Being on the farm amongst the cherry, apple and pear orchards was awesome. The highlight was staying in our cottage under the old oaks overlooking the Duck Pond against the backdrop of the Matroosberg. The attention to all the small home comforts throughout the cottage - in the bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchen made our stay so very comfortable. This little place truly is chicken soup for the soul and we would definitely be back and next time, will stay longer than 2x nights.
There was not a thing to complain about. Everything was perfect.

We loved everything about the place, so peaceful
It's not that we didn't like it, was just the not able to use our cell phones, maybe for the future they should think about wifi access in cases of emergency especially

We loved the farmhouse - which had more than enough space for everyone to relax. The farm was quiet and we weren't bothered by anyone during our stay. We loved the birdlife and using the kayak to explore under the trees.
We could only have our morning showers after 9am - I assume the pipes were frozen and needed time to thaw!

The fact there was no signal, WiFi or tv's available.
I loved the quietness and the sounds of nature.
The fireplace was fabulous and had enough wood for the 3 nights we were there.

Walks through the cherry orchards in fresh farm air, massive farm house for 3 children to play in while it snowed outside.
Fireplace smoked quite a bit

Stay was great overall. House is well equipped. Beautiful location. Will definately go there again. Nice and quiet. Maybe some TV for the kids would be a great idea esspesially in the evenings or if it cold and wet outside.
There was a problem with drainage of the shower. When you train the zink in the kitchen the dirty water pushes up in the shower and thee shower takes very long to drain. No outside covered braai area. That would be a really good addition. House needs a bit of TLC.
