Very nice place for a reasonable rate. It was so cheap we could afford a suite. We will go back again.

$300 was missing from my room the day before I left. Since there was no sign of forced entry, this could only have been accomplished by staff. I reported this to the person at the desk who acted very excited but was unable to communicate anything clearly. Out of fear, I decided not to do anything more. For all I know, local officers might have been part of this ring.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff friendly but the location of the hotel was not my favorite. Overall it was ok for the price and time I spent there

the property was very nice and in a great location. great water pressure and hot water. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We rented a scooter through the hotel and everything went smoothly. the only negative I can say is there were alot of
mosquitos in the room but it’s thailand so not the hotel fault! For the price this place is amazing and definitely worth the stay :)

Very friendly and nice staff, great location, good restaurants and travel agencies are nearby, old city in 10-15 minutes to walk. Highly recommend The Locals for staying in Chiang Mai.

Quaint little spot near Night Bazaar and Loi Kroh road. Tucked away in a spot where not many people are walking past. It was quiet and cozy.

Nice boutique hotel in a lively area. Very clean and the staff are very friendly.

Firendly staffs and clean room , the only downside is no elevator coz only 3 floors

Only downside the room was a bit small, other than that it was clean and comfortable and quiet. Hotel is located down one of those small streets so its away from any loud music bars. Everything else is within walking distance to massage shops, restaurants and bars.

Excellent staff, Mun especially, but all were great. Very professional, friendly, helpful. The room I had was on the small side but I stayed for 1 week with no problems. Everything is new and working well. Showers had hot water (not needed much) and most importantly: wifi that worked, always. That's a huge one for me and this is one of the few hotels I have stayed at where wifi works well and consistently. Free coffee and snacks were great, although I was trying to stay healthy and it was a terrible temptation. I absolutely would come back and highly recommend The Locals. Great value.

Really lovely welcome, quiet rooms, slept like a log but was only a short walk from plenty of places to eat and socialise. Super kind staff, highly recommended.

I couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Thailand as a female solo travler who was looking for a peaceful, cozy, clean and friendly hotel.
I am not into guesthouses anymore and The Little cals provided me the right luxury I was looking for without paying too much.
The staff were SO NICE and helping. They always greet you, check on you, refill and looking to help. They even let me keep my suitcase while doing a couse, after check out.
Not to mention, this is a brand new hotel, not a lot of people know it and it's located a 6 mins walk from the night bazaar, and is walkable from anywhere. You bave 2 7/11 nearby and ATM. They offer breakfast too.
Will definitely come back :)

This is a very cute hotel with an authentic Thai feel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. My room was spacious, super clean, they provided chargers for phones, flip flops, a safe, all of which I did not use. I had coffee every morning in the cute breakfast room. The ride from the airport was 15 minutes but can be longer with traffic. The Marriott is right around the corner. The night market is 10 min walk away. The center of the old town square is about 20 min walk. If you are there during a torrential rain, get a Grab car or Tuktuk as the road floods. It’s not the prettiest road to be on, but I felt safe and walked in either direction alone in the morning and at night. I definitely recommend this hotel and hopefully will visit again.

We stayed two nights and we really liked this hotel. It is well located, it was clean and the staff was very nice. The room was just like the picture, there was no bad surprises. The street of the hotel is a little bit scary but everything went well. Also, the walls were not sound proof, we could ear the dogs in the middle of the night and we could here everytime an other person went to there room. However, we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this hotel for sure.

Very new and modern place. Excellent condition all around. Spacious room with a big bed and bunk bed. 24 hr snack and fruit bar on first floor. Wonderful staff. Very very quiet. We didn’t see other guests much during our stay. Not much parking space. But it’s okay, we had a rental van to pick us up. Sometime we parked across the street. If you are looking to relax in a secluded place in the city, this is a good place.

Hotel was ok, clean, decent bed. Small rom and small bathroom with sink outside bath area (in room). Located a little off main streets. Might be other options (even better) for same price point however.

A no frill local hotel, basic and comfortable. The young staff go beyond to make my stay a good one.

Clean comfortable rooms, location was excellent for exploring Chiangmai. Staff are super helpful and breakfasts are awesome with different northern Thai soups or noodles to enjoy. Definitely had an enjoyable and relaxing stay!

Nice location. Rooms comfortable, clean and updated. Free breakfast surprisingly excellent. My only complaint would be, and with most smaller hotels, that the mattress be upgraded. The Locals is a very nice little hotel!
4.0
Cleanliness and the proximity to tourist attraction, easy to get around with public transport and walking. Staff are very attentive and food is superb.
The drawback is its nearby communities: one direction with untidy houses and environment and the others with pubs (of course loud noise at time).

Hotel is brand new 3 months ago - spotlessly clean. My room was quiet and very comfortable. Good bed, quiet AC and good shower. The most important part of any hotel is the staff, and everyone here was very friendly and helpful. They got me started on GRAB, the Thailand equivalent of Uber. Thats the only way to travel in Thailand cities! No worries about the overcharging tuk tuk drivers or scam taxis. Saves money every time. The hotel is right next door to a great German buffet restaurant, and about a two block walk to casual cafe Krua Sukhothai, possibly the best Thai food I had on my trip. Also within walking distance was old town and the teeming Sunday night market. The hotel rate was a bargain, and breakfast was included! The train station was a 10 minute Grab ride ($2-$3).I will stay at The Locals again.
