Clean, updated hotel. We didn’t get to hang out poolside as much as we hoped due to being busy doing other things in town but the pool and hot tub were great the brief time we did utilize them. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Would recommend!

This hotel was recently purchased by an out of town company. The property seems neglected and understaffed. If you want somewhere super low key to rest your head and you aren’t looking for any services or amenities, this will do. But it completely lacks any kind of vacation vibes. Pool walls need to be scrubbed, dead bees on the deck, half dead plants are too sparse. Cute outdoor bar area has potential but it’s never open. Was told Freddie the chef and owner of the dinner-only restaurant could pour a drink, but there wasn’t a smooth process for requesting that, nor a drink list, awkward. Someone had their large dog on the pool deck and it was barking loudly in the morning. I poked my head out and the owners clearly had no control over the dog nor took the dog off the deck. Unacceptable, this was a major noise disturbance. I come to PS from LA to get away from barking dog noise pollution.

Another wonderful stay at the Sonder properties. I stayed for two nights prior at a different hotel there in Palm Springs and it was complete trash compared to my stay at Sonder. Sandra is modern clean, clean, spacious comfortable all the things at the other place was not. I will continue to choose Sonder as my destination go to whenever traveling team SONDER all the way baby!

Great value, and nice combination of retro and modern. The bed and pillows were amazing, and I loved the Roku. Totally seamless experience - super easy. A great location with a breeze in the very hot summer. The only thing I’d change or suggest is to maintain the pool area a bit better. Some cushions were torn, and the perimeter of the pool looked a little old and tired.

I will say that this place is pretty good value for the price. You DO have to note that nearly everything is an extra charge. Parking, cleaning, etc. However, some of these can be forgone, so in the end, if you just want a nice clean hotel, with a good pool, that's not too far from downtown, the Cole is a great option.

It’s much different from any other hotel that I stayed out before I kind of dig the high-tech way of accessing the hotel and also your room by using your mobile device and keypad entry. I have to admit it certainly makes the check-in process much easier compared to other hotels. The pool is pretty great too. They have a speaker that plays music and they even have a few of those Floaties to use. The only thing that sucks for me and my wife and it’s nothing to do with the hotel, but when we arrived there was a crazy sandstorm and the weather was pretty outrageous especially being memorial day weekend. Regardless it was a great trip and I would stay here again.

Our experience with Sonder was nothing short of a nightmare. After a long journey, we arrived at our booked accommodation only to be left sitting in our car for over an hour. Sonder claimed we didn’t have a reservation, causing us immense frustration and confusion. Eventually, we discovered they had canceled our reservation due to mold in the room. This left us completely stranded on Memorial Day weekend with virtually nowhere to stay, as everything was fully booked. Sonder’s lack of communication and support was astounding. With no front desk staff and the only way to communicate being via an app or smartphone, getting any help was nearly impossible.

The rooms are well appointed and just what one would picture when thinking of a Palm Springs stay. A fridge, coffeemaker and AC made the room more comfortable. The pool was clean, and many travelers spent their days near it. A nice sense of community is felt. Though most of the interaction I had was through the Sonder App ( you get a door code to the grounds and your room ), when I did have interactions with the staff, they were very friendly and hospitable. Definitely a fantastic first experience staying at a Sonder.

Our safe did not work the entire time and wasn’t given a diagnosis until 3 pm the next day. Could not be repaired. That style of motel and location requires a safe! No breakfast : coffee restaurant options on site. Cocktail bar never open.. I would choose second floor and first floor suite can hear walking upstairs very easily. Nice renoed rooms.. very clean pools and hot tub. No one at the pool but us so if you want a fun vibe this is not the place. Peaceful tho! Beds comfy. Coffee pods too weak. Not sure I like the lack of a front desk.

Draperies on two of the three windows were damaged and wouldn't close. Appeared there might have been a water issue in the "living room" area, carpet was damp. When the property was privately owned parking was free. There is now a charge for parking in a lot that is completely unsecure. Don't recommend!

The hotel was beautiful and has a great view of the mountains right outside and it’s a 5 minute drive to the tramway and 8 minutes from an ATV rental. My only problem with the hotel was my room in particular had a dirty blanket and when I requested a new one it took a whole day to get it because no one was available to bring one supposedly but the hotel wasn’t even packed. My whole stay I only seen 2 other people and it was very quiet.

This property is a self check-in (no front desk) with keypads on all doors. You can also use your phone for faster entrance which is convenient. Not sure why we paid for parking when there is a good size parking lot behind the hotel. We were an hour early and can see our bedroom was ready but could not check in. However, there is also a luggage closet that is available if you need it. The most annoying thing was being able to hear the people upstairs just walking around and sounding like they were moving things. It sounds like stomping which I’m sure they weren’t but that’s what we initially thought. Other than that, everything else was nice in our room. We have a good size mini fridge, microwave, & sink (but smells from the drain). The pool and jacuzzi area was clean and the esthetics were nice for photos.

Airbnb model meets hotel industry. The lack of a traditional front desk might not appeal to many people. It also has its appeal for many today who do not like human interaction. For myself I feel its a hybrid model that I like. We saw staff in the morning who are quick to greet you and ask if you inquiry anything but are not around through the entire day. So with that stated my stay was a joy. Had an issue using the blue tooth entry so fail safe is the passcode which makes me feel just as safe using the keypad for door entry. Have no negative reviews and look forward to future stays at Sonder properties.

The Cole by Sonder charges for literally everything (the parking isn’t free despite what might be advertised here). Parking $15 a day for an open, unsecured lot. Early check-in? $20-$30 dollars depending on if you wanted to check in one or two hours early. When we got to our room, it was dirty (used wash cloth under the sink in the bathroom, dusty) and smelled bad (like sewage). But there’s no one around anywhere. The public area wasn’t cleaned until our third day, the restaurant/bar was never open, and the outdoor furniture is ripped/torn/incredibly torn. The rooms are not sound proof. We never had anyone come clean the room. It’s an old school AC unit. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Property lacks onsite staff so check in is online only. Not quick or easy or convenient. Spent more than an hour outside in the sun sorttng out the check in with customer service. Every aspect of stay is done via app, and app wasn’t cooperating. And this saves the hotel how much by not having a front desk? Don’t recommend this..

Check in was extremely difficult because of faulty door , and I’ll equipped support staff at that time. They basically said I would not have another issue if I did not leave my room. I could not enter room or even the compound itself the next day.
