A bare bones basic hotel. They have free coffee in the morning, but nothing else. Rooms are small but enough, and very basic. The 2 guys working the “front desk” were pretty sketchy characters, and didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Our second night (of 2) there, they were hanging out drinking with some local gal in the parking lot below our balcony. One of them took her to one of the vacant rooms for a half hour or so, and then they both came out and all 3 got into a big noisy argument about her “not being paid enough”! Not a place we’ll stay at again.

It was a great stay for what it was intended for. Close to beach. Close to shops. Close to restaurants. The bed was comfortable, there was tv in the room. Only coffee in the morning. Do not expect breakfast. We had parking. Easy check in and the security person on sight was helpful! He gave great suggestions for the area. The property is well cared for. It was a clean hotel with a fan and air conditioning. Take pictures at the sign.

Maira is an excellent host, very frienly and relaxed! The rooms were simple but very clean and exactly what was needed. The hotel is close to Bayahibe port, walking distance so everything is close by. Perfect; safe, clean and convenient!

This hotel is spotless, everything is freshly painted in a crips white. It's very reasonably priced, but the rooms feel comfortable and have a touch of style in the furniture and fixtures. It was quiet and we were able to walk to the Isla Saona boats in about 5 minutes. We had secure & covered parking inside their courtyard/parking lot. There's no food at the hotel, but the management were very accomodating and friendly and provided free "cafecita." The beach was also just five minutes away on foot and there were a bunch of nice places to eat around the waterfront; check out the Barco Bar & Restaurant for great food right on the waters edge with a bit of a castaway vibe.

It was for one night to get the cruise the following day. It is very simple but clean. The staff is super nice. The air conditioner was working perfectly without any noise. There was a small freezer. The place is very simple.

Mayra is an excellent host. Juan also.

The waterfront area of Bayahibe can be quite noisy but this is in a quieter area a couple of blocks away. Good, no-frills hotel. Recommended.

We had a lovely stay at the Pulpo
Comfortable room (could have more shelves/hangers)
Good hot water with pressure (most of the time)
Easy access to shops/restaurants
Not too noisy .. but that will change with the new bus parking and all the new construction around
All in all a great little hotel

Everything was good as expected except wifi, range is pretty bad. If staff could speak a little English it would be helpful.

This hotel is just about perfectly on the edge of the tourist, retail, beach, area. The rooms were clean and the staff was awesome and helpful. It worked out really well for us and I would highly recommend them.

They initially told me that my reservation was cancelled because I didn't check in on the check in date and I no longer had reservation. My flight was delayed and missed my connecting flight. I arrived the next day. I pre-paid the room for 2 nights. Just glad it worked out after another worker came and granted my reservation. But whew!

Could do better as far as house keeping and the wifi was never active ! Town is great and hotel is closed and convenient but needs a few details to make it a great one…

It’s ok, clean and functional.

It is advertised that they serve breakfast and they never served breakfast at all. Figuring out the TV was also a huge issue. The hotel is clean and safe. Its about a 7 minute walk to the beach area. The front desk it great with helping you out with tours.

I traveled to Bayahibe for scuba diving, and hotel el Pulpo was 10 minutes away from the beach by walking. There is a shortcut to scuba caribe where I did my dive and excursion. I had an awesome stay, all the staff was super nice and I didn't have any problems. Especially the front desk lady was very kind serving fresh coffee every morning.
There is a local Dominican food restaurant around the corner open for lunch. It's pretty cheap, but it's for locals, so eat at your own risk. There is an Italian restaurant also around the corner across from hotel paraiso with good prices and the quality food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I usually ate there. Don't go to the beach restaurants, they will charge you tourist prices for average food. I also ate at the mexican restaurant Frida in dominicus which was 10 minutes drive. It was really good.
There was a construction next door, but they started at 8 am , so I was up before then. At night, there was no bar noise or heavy traffic noise.
I would recommend this hotel for people visiting Bayahibe, Dominican people are awesome, be nice to them and don't forget to tip, and they will make sure you will have a good stay .

Hotel molto essenziale, senza molte pretese, si ha la camera senza pulizie e colazione.
La proprietaria è molto gentile e cordiale pronta ad aiutarti

This is a pleasant hotel, close to the centre of town but not noisy. The room was clean and adequately equipped. I could not make the TV work except on Dominican channels, but that might have been just me.
