The price is always fair and the accommodations are great. The beds are clean the service staff is engaging. They’ve made the repairs to the pool which is great. Breakfast included is recommended to add that save a few pesos and the options are delicious. Would love to see cheaper drink prices, happy hour is good. They are building another building in front of the hostel to see a nice view of the beach in area. You’ll have to be on the top floor where the bar is will have to wait-and-see once it’s finished construction but overall I enjoy the quietness and access to , all amenities is a very short walk. I will continue to visit again and again.

The Viajero is in an excellent location, on a quiet side street, easily walkable to town. The position on the hill catches the breeze. An excellent, no nonsense, base of operations for a visit to Sayulita.

The kitchen menu was fantastic depending on the season as I was there in May some items are limited, but alternate options are available and very satisfied with it. The pool is the only thing that is in a little rough condition. It is tough to maintain and still offer to visitors.
The back rooms were in amazing condition. The lockers are perfect for small to medium luggage shared bathroom is in great condition. Would recommend for the price is quite fair. Pay the extra for the free breakfast.

Loved my stay here! The staff is so kind and gave great recommendations on what to do in the area. Only con was that it is up a steep hill that makes it less accessible. Otherwise, perfect!

Had a great stay! The bunk beds are nice and private and everyone was outgoing and friendly. Loved all the animals on the property. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting. It’s a 7min walk from the beach and just far enough away that you don’t hear the late night music in the square.

This was my first trip as a female solo traveler and this hostel blew my expectations out of the water. The staff were amazingly friendly, informative and did many activities and adventures with people at the hostel. The place was extremely clean, had a beautiful pool, rooftop restaurant and bar with great food and fun evening drinking events. They had a business area for those who need a quite area to get work done, and many areas to relax and have fun. Highly highly recommend. I will be back

I have mixed feelings on this hostel. The staff there are super nice. The location is great and it’s a 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach. They have a good free yoga class on the top floor at 9 AM every morning and the food is good as well. I stayed in a double private room. I Assumed that this would give me some type of noise reduction. This hostel didn’t list that they are a party hostel, but during the week the DJ on the top floor is going till 11 or 12 at night and you can hear it all the way down on the second floor. On Saturday night the DJ was going to at least two in the morning, the rooms are pretty decent, although my room didn’t look as nice as it did in the photos. On Sunday night. The four guys who are staying in the shared room above me came back at three in the morning and we’re walking up and down the stairs and thumping around the room for at least an hour. I tried calling the number that’s at the front desk as it’s listed on Maps, and it said the number was not in service. It’s partially my fault as I didn’t realize spring break was going on when I booked the trip I think I would suggest for the hostel to group it’s private rooms in one area so there isn’t as much noise and to also caulk around their door frames as you can hear everybody walking up on the stairs, as there is just a big gap between the door in the wall where noise just comes flowing in. My hot water heater circuit would turn off after about eight to ten minutes when taking a shower, as an elect

I honestly never write reviews, but my experience at Viajero Sayulita was so amazing I really want to share. The whole team of staff were so great, always trying to make everyone's stay the best it could be, and really getting to know each guest on a more personal level. It was also super convenient, with restaurant and bar right on site, but also within a 10 min walking distance from the main square of Sayulita and local beaches. Lots of fun activities planned. And the views from the restaurant were stunning, watching sunset from up there every day and listening to the waves was a major highlight. Will definitely be back!

Girls lied on the front desk about the hot water, wifi and giving me a quiet room. All 3 were terrible.

For sure location and cleanliness goes a long way, but I feel that the staff is what can make you or break you depending on how they make you feel and I had such a wonderful time again hanging out and meeting new members.

Friendly and helpful staff with a great pool and patio. A central location that is walkable to all parts of Sayulita. It is definitely targeting people under 40 with the loud and events-filled bar, but things typically quiet down by midnight and you are still able to get a good night sleep in the private rooms.

What a great hostel, I had a private room for 7 nights which was more like a 1 bedroom apartment with a balcony. Everything is made of concrete so there is very little noise if any between rooms. A sick rooftop bar/pool, very friendly staff. The only thing i could say negativity is it’s maybe a 8-10 min walk to the beach and it’s located up a hill, however with that being said. There is no noise of vehicles or clubbing at night if your a light sleeper. I would recommend to anyone.

I had a GREAT time here while in Sayulita. Beds were comfy, clean, and A/C ran all night so you can sleep. While I was only in town for a few days, the staff and the other people staying here were so inclusive and easy-going, making it difficult to leave. The hostel plans fun activities (hiking, volleyball, salsa) for you to get to know the other guests and also shared tips for surf spots. There's also cute dogs that roam the property sometimes. Thanks for the memories and fun times. 10/10 would stay again next time I'm in Sayulita. ☺️
