We had a birthday party in the ballroom and it worked extremely well.

The host was very responsive and quickly replied to any questions. The house is beautiful and very spacious. The areas are separated which allows guests their space. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There are no bedrooms on the main level, so this place is not appropriate for anyone hindered by stairs. There is also only 1 out of the 6 bathrooms on the main level, which proved inconvenient at times. The outside grounds were beautiful even though they lacked care. Deer could be seen eating in the serene landscape at dawn and dusk. The yard lacked comfortable outdoor seating, and there was no grill. It gave it an abandoned feel, but was still lovely, especially when looking out from the main level balcony. Some VRBO hosts go above and beyond, offering extras like soaps, a few coffees, games for the kids, reading materials, things-to-do/places-to-eat around town etc. This house was vacant. There were a few artifacts that remained scattered in weird places, but this gigantic house was quite empty. I guess it was better empty than over-full in my opinion. It comes down to personal preference, but it was worth the mention.

We really enjoyed having separate bedrooms and baths for all of the adults, and the dining table was big enough for all 10 of us to eat together. The house needs a little TLC, but it worked great for our group of 10. Communication with the host was superb, really top-notch. I would recommend the house to others.

Amazing large house in nice area. Close to Arlington and DC. Could use some TLC and maintenance but Family enjoyed our stay.

My family and I, total of 12 people, rented this VRBO while visiting for a family wedding. The house was perfect for a large gathering of people of varying ages and interests. The property manager, Adam, was very attentive to our needs/requests and handled all in a very professional and prompt manner. If I were to give some constructive criticism, the quality and quantity of bathroom linens could have been improved (bigger, higher quality bath towels, inclusion of tub mats, etc.) There were some fixtures that were damaged/missing (shower door handles, stove burners, and pond in back should have been emptied or repaired) Overall, it was a delightful stay and served our purpose well. I would recommend!!

The host was not prepared for us. We had to find the towlels and linen.
But the property did meet our needs and they were quick to respond when needed.
I would recommend this location to any family.

Everything was just perfect for us. The house is enormous and there is one giant room with no furniture, but you'd never use it for anything anyway.
comfortable beds with great sheets! spacious modern kitchen with everything we needed. very secluded off the street and quiet. close enough to DC so we could go in and out without much traffic.
We never had to bother Adam as we had everything we needed.
Our family really enjoyed it

This prestigious McLean home spans over 9,000 ft.² and is situated across from a school and a fairly traveled road. However, the presence of trees along the road and the house’s lower position make it surprisingly quiet. Morning traffic noise is noticeable in the front-facing bedrooms but not in the rear ones. The circular driveway is convenient for calling an Uber.
Adam, the responsive host, promptly addressed our concerns. When we pointed out the absence of a mixer or K-cup coffee maker, he promptly ordered them from Amazon.
While the home was once a community gem, it now shows signs of wear and neglect. Various issues include malfunctioning light switches (upper floor hallway lights flicker), non-functional overhead lights in the informal living room (the sole TV location), missing towel racks in the lower floor bathroom, and grimy light switches. Broken baseboards, loose electrical outlet plates, and damaged decorative window framing add to the list.
The pictures don’t accurately represent the current state of the house. Many rooms, especially non-bedrooms on the first floor, are virtually empty. The decks and balustrades need pressure washing, and the back fountain has greenish water due to poor circulation.
The ballroom, as expected, is empty and served as a fun space for our son’s Oculus adventures. Wildlife sightings in the backyard, including deer and foxes, added to the charm.
In all, this rental is ideal for someone who understands its quirks and unique charm

The house is huge and has room for many to stay. However there is only one TV, very little furniture and very cheap amenities (like kitchen cookware, silverware...). The house is haunted and scared us all with sounds,.howls, and crazy things happening.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious and beautiful house. We loved the seclusion and the privacy - yet it’s so convenient to Tyson’s and DC. Waking up to the sound and sight of nature was indeed a treat. Thank you so much!
