When we arrived we were greeted by roaches. We reached out to host and he replied “are they flying?” We replied no and asked if there was any spray available. He said check under sink. The next morning we went to make breakfast and when we turned on stove more roaches came out. That evening we went to make dinner and discovered the oven did not work. Reached out to host and was never repsonded to. The next night, the one and only bathroom, the toilet started to gurgle and would not hold water or flush. There were 2 adults and 4 kids with no toilet. Again host did not respond. We researched VRBO complaint process and went the route suggested… file a neighborly report. We did and included pictures. We were just notified by VRBO that they can not access our report or pictures so there is nothing that can be done. DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!

We my friends and myself rarely get to travel together muxh less all beoff at thesame time, we booked a few months ago.. day of check-in and the evening before hurricane beryl decides to jump to thenorthand hammered Galveston, the home owners were great about thewhole processe they worked withus , turning what coupd have beennan absolute bust of a trip into a good little get a way, especially withmost of Galveston being with out power thru the week, we played games fished and cooked andhung out justmade thebest of the situation and along th way the owners were there if we needed anything..wpuld definitely rent from them again the property was clean and kinda in the middle of everything walking distance from the beach as well..all things considered it wasa good trip that all started looking horribly gone wrong and turned into something that was simple and relaxing and no of that would of happened with out josh or athena' the owners and there management group

The hosts were very responsive. We loved the location. We had a few issues, but overall, enjoyed our stay.
1. We arrived the same day as tropical storm Alberto brought serious storm surge in. The street and our yard were under water. All the homes in the area have septic systems. This resulted in VERY slow toilet flushing. We notified the host the next morning, assuming it was the flooding that caused it and there wouldn’t be much they could do the first night. They sent a maintenance worker who put a pump in to remove the “rain water” from the septic tank and ran a garden hose in the yard. I was concerned that it was raw sewage, though.
2. The listing doesn’t tell you that you are only renting the lower level of the home. The upstairs is a separate rental, so just be aware.
3. The unit has 3 really nice smart TVs. But the internet doesn’t work in the master bedroom. The host said to reset the router upstairs. I did, but to no avail.
This was still a great trip and I would recommend this super cute and convenient rental.

I waited a few weeks to do this review as I didn’t want emotions to cloud it. It wasn’t what we expected at all, pictures looked really nice but place was just not kept well. First had roaches, I know they are hard to stop, but two is an issue. The living room was set up weird, the TV was across the room so we moved the couch, it was that bad. Second we had no internet and the internet we did have went to only one TV at a time, and that barely worked. So no phones, no internet, I wanted to detox but that’s too much, 3rd we were in a bottom unit when we thought we were in a stand alone property. Bottom floor so couldn’t see the ocean, would have been nicer up top. There was mold over the shower curtain and on all the vents, gross! The freezer was completely frozen with ice built up, we had no room for anything to fit in there. Besides all this it’s a standard beach house, I wouldn’t stay here again and that’s too bad because like I said it looked good from the photos and I think if I had had internet I would have been happy.

This house was just what we were looking for. Location was just a few steps away from the beach! Communication was wonderful with check in process and any questions we had! We very much enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay again!

Would definitely come back. The only things that were not great… the Wi-if signal, no icemaker, coffee pot not working.
Clean and comfortable for sure.

We enjoyed the proximity to the beach, and we had just enough room for two adults and three teens. The decor was cute and the kids enjoyed that there were TVs in each room. Plenty of towels to use and enough kitchenware for us to make simple meals.
Only complaint was that the wifi was a bit spotty and the bathroom lock did not work, but nothing that would stop us from booking here again.

The property was very comfortable and served our purposes as well.
There were a few things missing that might’ve been nice to have to have, but not critical. There were no orange juice/cocktail glasses and there were very limited cooking pots/baking dishes. There was no ice maker. There were ppl staying above us and their footsteps were heard “loud and clear”. There was occasionally an odor of sewer or septic and I actually noticed some sort of broken pipe/line in the backyard with liquid coming out of it, at times.
There is definitely an opportunity to add a little TLC to the unit, but for a vacation rental, it was more than adequate.
Finally, a huge PLUS is that the unit is literally steps from the beach. We really enjoyed that aspect; and the beach was empty.
So, all things considered, we would/will stay here again!

Property has great location to the beach. About 100 yards on a private road to beach access. Little to no outdoor seating. Small patio with 2 broken plastic chairs. No propane in outdoor grill. Inside newly renovated. Had a couple pots and pans but definitely not adequate to cook full meals. Thankfully we brought our cast iron skillet. Place was super humid and it was difficult to get it to cool off. Outdoor temps were mid to high 80’s. We have stayed in a lot of bnb’s prob over 10 in the last year and this felt dirty. The sheets smelled and we asked them to come change them since there is no washer on site. They did send someone the next morning. Overall unhappy w accommodations but for 2 days we put up w it.

This place is cute!!! We were down here for a wedding and the wedding party was on the same street. Lone star rally was going on, so plenty to do. Wish I could have been able to get on WiFi, the link and password were incorrect and I was never able to connect, but it was fine. I could go outside and catch a signal outside.
Josh was completely easy to contact and communicate with.

Perfect Getaway
My family and myself (children 7&9) really enjoyed staying here. It was a nice quiet street and a short stroll to the beach whenever we wanted to go. The property was clean and offered all the things we needed to enjoy our few days away!
