About this lodge
This luxurious tranquil lodge is situated in a beautiful rural area of County Clare, on an elevated site surrounded by nature, living, blooming, scented and colourful.
It is only 10 minutes from Ennis, 20 minutes from Lahinch with beach and golf and close to the unspoilt countryside of the Burren and its hinterlands which can provide many days of pleasure exploring its hidden landscape.
Lickaun Lodge was built in 2001 by skilled and artistic tradesmen, using natural stone and a beautiful variety of woods;- elm, cedar, and larch which were sourced from historic woods. These were selected, dried and carved into beams and decorative furniture.
Limosene or Chauffeur driven transportation service available on request, ask for more details.
KITCHEN:
The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with a large Range-Master gas/electric cooker; it sits in the heart of the kitchen with a beautiful marble backdrop inscribed with Fáilte (Welcome). The ceiling has oak beams, home to a collection of antique jugs. The dresser houses a selection of fine china, linen and silver cutlery for your entertaining needs. The welcoming entrance porch, adjacent to the kitchen, provides storage for everyday equipment and is decorated with lovely pictures and mirrors themed around domestic birds. Water is sourced from a natural spring well for your good health.
SUN ROOM:
The spacious sun-room has a gothic theme with high ceilings, larch beams with wrought iron. The once-off dining table and tall chairs were designed and carefully crafted by a cabinet maker using burned elm wood. This is a very relaxing room in which to sit and watch the swallows in summer or the doves hover over the lake. In the morning, rabbits and hares wander close to the house;- undisturbed nature at your window cill.
LOUNGE:
The elegant, cosy lounge is decorated with Victorian-style furniture, ‘his and her’ chairs, wing backs and chaise lounge. The limestone fireplace with its large wood-burning stove is certainly a pleasure to sit beside on a winter’s evening just listening to the antique wall clock ticking. The front entrance porch off the lounge provides spectacular views of the lake and mountain.
BEDROOM1:
The pitch-pine stairs leading from this room brings you to the master-bedroom with its large antique- inlaid bed and a beautiful large deep bath provides relaxation in the tastefully decorated bathroom.
BEDROOM 2:
The twin-bedded room on this floor is airy and comfortable with beautiful views of garden and countryside.
BEDROOM 3:
The single downstairs en suite bedroom is a cosy retreat freshly decorated with toilet de Joui fabric. This theme follows through to the large en suite bathroom.
GARDEN
The extensive garden has many facets, lavender-scented beds, rock roses, mature trees, scree beds, vegetable plots, fruit trees and a variety of berries for winter preserves.
The three cut-stone patios provide seating for different times of the day, here you can sip your wine/morning coffee in privacy, watch the horse’s graze, cattle resting or hares and foxes in the early morning dew, the natural music of the song-birds and the domestic birds as they roam the garden freely.

We had an unforgettable stay at Tina’s property. The property was beautiful, and Tina was a very thoughtful host. We made memories to last for years to come.

Beautiful setting just outside Ennis easy access to Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. Condition top notch. Host was ready for us so we could make our own dinner and eventually breakfast without having to go out and shop. Garden and lawn beautiful. Really good for a family. Would definetly go back and questions via app were quick.

Tina was a super host!! What a warm and perfect Irish Welcome!!! Amazing property, accommodations were absolutely beautiful. Decor was top notch and Tina was an absolute doll. We entered as a guest an feel like we have a lifelong friend. We highly recommend this enchanting cottage filled with special warm details and a garden that rivals all our hotel and Vrbo accommodations. Unbelievable setting and welcome!!!

Staying at Tina’s home was a magical experience! The property & home are more beautiful than the photos online.
Our family age ranges are from 60-9 years old and all had the best time!
The house is exquisite with linen sheets for a princess and furniture for a king.
Tina thinks of everything to make your trip seamless and stress free, her hospitality is bar none.
The views and gardens are breathtaking! Our nine year old daughter was in heaven with a full Irish immersion experience feeding the horses, hens and puppies!!
Perfect location to tour the sea towns, Ennis, Lahinch & Bunratty.
Tina will assist in creating the perfect itinerary from day trips, tours, restaurants & activities. She will also connect you with a private driver as needed. She is a well respected member of the community with a heart of gold.
Such an authentic experience with the best of Irish hospitality, charm surrounded by magical beauty everywhere you turn.
Highly recommend!!!

I can't say enough about the property...just as described; a wonderful retreat. That said, it was really the owner (Tina) that made the stay over the top; warm, inviting, over-the-top preparation for my arrival with the pantry and fridge stocked with wonderful treats!
Looking forward to staying here again soon!

Pinch me, I must be dreaming!
Of all the times that we have rented a VRBO dwelling, this was the first time that the host, hospitality, care and willingness to make absolutely everything around our vacation a success was so deeply felt! Upon our arrival our dear host (and new lifelong friend) had a delicious hot dinner prepared and welcomed us to our house with a wonderful fire burning in the living room, candles lit and the warm ambience of a delightfully decorated house. We were in awe by her delightful conversation, her willingness to assist us with any of our touring plans (and thanks to her we experienced soooo much more of the harder to find sites and scenes!), and her genuine desire to make sure that our first time to experience Ireland, wouldn't be our last! What incredible Irish hospitality!
The many pictures of her house and yard, while beautiful, are no comparison to seeing it firsthand. Being there makes you feel as if you are in a dream! Looking out the front windows across her lawn and incredible flowerbeds, gives you a view across the large valley of pastures and farms. Out the side window, a view of her stables, with her three lovely horses looking out, ready to greet you a horse version of "good morning"!
She also has a most incredible variety of hens and roosters, large and small, some varieties I had never seen before, and she know each by their personal names. Incredibly they listen to her too! And the roosters sound wonderful in the morning.
Her two dogs are so well trained and are a pleasure to be around.
Our dear host has a wonderful eye for details and her house and it furnishings, antiques and ambience, made us feel as if we were living in the 1920's, like in the movies, but with all the convenience and amenities of today. A real hand has to go out for her forethought and design that she put into constructing a new house that had such an old world feel.
It was a privilege to stay their for a week (I wish it could have been longer), and given the opportunity, we would stay there again in a heartbeat! We cannot say enough about how we appreciated the area, but especially about making all our new friends! Thank you so much
