Beautiful historic loft. Old school feel. Just a few downfalls. 1. Too warm in bedroom to sleep. Also the battery to the remote did not work in bedroom to leave the fan on and not the light. So slept on the couch where it was cooler. Also, the street outside is so loud. Lots of noisy radios with bass and people reving their engines. And lots of sirens throughout the night. The bathroom also needs updated. Shower knob was broke and door to shower was hard to close and baseboards were dirty.

Our stay was wonderful! The loft was clean and very well stocked for all our needs. A great locations for walking around. The owner was always quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again.

Wasn’t at all what I expected. Upon arriving I couldn’t believe this was the place I had booked . The smell of mold was unbelievable. Historical district what a joke. Old buildings that folks are trying to restore. Nothing to do in this area other than very close to port. Hurricane comes in at 1:00 am water starts pouring from the ceiling and coming through the gaps of windows. We spent hours mopping up water used every pot, pan, and bucket available. Sent message to host response took hours. Massive amount of dirt under rug , a/c filter was completely black with dust hadn’t been changed in a long time. To top it off electricity went out mid morning making the smell of mold even worse with daytime heating. I also communicated with the host that leaky ceiling was a problem already there prior to arrival and hurricane and that this unit should have been completely repaired before allowing folks to stay in it. I’m sorry paint & kiltz only cover up so much. I was never offered to be moved to another unit or anything else. Like I said never again and I strongly advise anyone to stay away from this place. Paid for a place I couldn’t stay in and never offered not one penny back for my inconvenience. I was on vacation and I shouldn’t have to deal with this kind of thing.

Fun loft space with an open concept, making it easy to spend time with family. Plenty of sleeping spaces. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to make a delicious meal night for a night in. Bars, restaurants, coffee shops within walking distance. Beaches five minutes away.

We had a great time in Galveston. Easy walking distance to the stand, lots of shopping and restaurants. Cute studio apartment.

Floors are uneven and needs some painting, kept waking up because of lights outside but communication was great and beds were comfortable

This rental had the look and feel of old historic Galveston. Very spacious and lots of natural light. Easy walks to the Strand and a short ride to the Seawall. Very clean and had everything we needed. I look forward to staying there again.

We absolutely loved this loft! Huge open area. Very nice decor. Great views of The Tremont and downtown. So convenient for walking to restaurants, The Grand, Tremont House and the harbor. Beds were comfortable and linens nice. Very clean also. Will definitely be back!

Great location for a short stay before a cruise. As advertised and very clean.

So badly wanted to like this property but struggling to even give it 3 stars.
The Good: Spacious, great location to the Strand
The Bad: Dirty (especially bathroom and windows), worn, pics make property look newer than it is (kitchen cabinets for example), zero insulation to outdoor noise, too much light filtering in at night due to old, worn blinds. The WORST part is that we were unable to shower because there was no hot water. While mgt responded fairly quickly, there was no resolution. They even asked us to check the hot water heater (which was located 12 feet overhead in a cabinet that no would could reach without a ladder). Made request for partial refund and still no response after 10 days. Many improvements needed to make this great potential stayable for our family.

We had the best time! We stayed here the night before our cruise and I love that you could see the cruise ship out the front window the next morning! Close to downtown, family friendly! Host got back to me within the hour when I had some questions.

Our time in Galveston was cut short due to a missed flight and having to fly to a different airport, but our night spent at this unit was a welcomed relief to the chaos of the day!
When my family (2 adults, 3 teens) arrived, we had all the info we needed to make our way straight up to the unit. The communication with the host was fantastic, very kind. We had a tiny issue on the street, trying to figure out which outside door was the right one. It was late and the address numbers were hard to see in the shadows of the door frame. But once we got that figured out, it was a smooth check-in.
We were pleased to enter and find a clean, spacious unit that matched the photos in the listing. The open floor space was especially nice for being able to open up our suitcases and get organized for the next day.
The beds were very comfortable. We all slept great. My husband, being 6’5”, was glad to have a king size bed. The street can be loud at times. It’s an old building. You can hear motorcycles revving, trucks taking off from the corner, etc. It didn’t keep us up at night, but just be aware of this. The a/c unit kept it cool. The couch is big & comfy. My teens had plenty of room to lounge. Suggestion- a throw blanket would be a nice addition to the couch.
The next day we were able to walk to the cruise port, which I hadn’t anticipated, so it saved us an Uber. A nice surprise!
I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Galveston. Thank you for an stress-free, comfortable stay!

Very spacious and clean. The bed in master was comfortable and the children slept well in the full sized bunk beds. It would be very nice to have had two bath rooms with shower and vanity. The stairs are a challenge to negotiate with heavy luggage (or no luggage at all). Two of the boards are cracked and seemed to be on the verge of breaking. We have stayed with you on two occasions now and knew what to expect. Very convenient to the Royal Caribbean port.

Great location just off the strand, tall ceilings made the space feel majestic. Dog friendly. Clean, comfortable beds, very spacious. Great open concept kitchen with a large island and a dining table with seating for six. Corner unit with lots of large windows and natural light. I wish they had some hooks to hang dog leashes or towels.

We had an amazing time! Centrally located next to The Strand and easy location to get to from the beach! Property owner was very responsive, friendly and helpful! Will definitely stay here again!

Exactly like the pics. 90% clean . (Carpet needs vacuuming; upside down coffee cups were sticking to shelf, rims were dirty).
Very spacious. Bed clean and very comfy. Several available movie stations!! Loved that we could walk over to the Strand and found a couple of great restaurants. Overall excellent experience!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Loved the loft, the location and the vibe of The Strand. My critiques include small shower and bathroom, difficulty with lockboxes and taking our trash home with us. I would stay again in one of your lofts with a roomier bathroom and shower.

I stayed at the loft apartment while my wife was on a cruise with our daughter. The loft is nice and the only pain was re-parking the car every two hours between 9:00am and 6pm to keep from getting a parking ticket. Other than that I really enjoyed the property and location.

This was the perfect getaway for my husband and I. The loft was spacious with all the things we needed. The sofa was amazing!! Accessing the unit was easy as was street parking. We can’t wait to return! Thank you for hosting us!

Loved the historic feel. Felt safe in the area. Street parking was a problem. Not always available close to the loft.

Comfortable one-night stay before our cruise. Excellent location for The Strand and coffee shops and restaurants. We recommend the Leeland House bistro for a casual dinner.
Be warned that the walls are paper thin and you can hear people talking in apartment next door and outside on the street. Didn’t bother us, but for others it might be an issue.

After all, we enjoyed our stay. Had a trouble with the key box in the 1st day .The property management needs to be address a few things before the people checking in ,like the street parking situation and the location for the garbage collection so on.
10.0
Over all very nice place, the location is excellent for walking around. I had no parking issues. The only thing I might say would be it could use some touch ups on the walls and paint in the bathroom. The beds were just a little to firm for my comfort but It wouldn’t keep me from returning and renting again. Excellent communication from the owner and very easy controlled access in a really cool old building.

The property is a great location to be able to get downtown quickly which was very convenient. Also, it's spacious giving space to one another. The beds were comfortable as were the blankets though a few more in the closet would be helpful for cool nights. Things like a frying pan/skillet would be helpful also as there was only one soup pot. Also, the outlet in the bathroom doesn't work so no styling your hair in the bathroom. This was rather in convenient. The place could use a mopping as the floor was quite dirty! Otherwise, our stay was pleasant.

Verify comfortable space and local to galveston restaurants. Communication from host was great.

Enjoyed staying here. Its very spacious. Great for a large group! The building has old windows all around so it can be noisy at times. Also, not the best place if you have a problem with stairs.

It was a great place close to all the shops in the Strand district. We have been coming to Galveston a long time. We come 3-5 times a year, and we really enjoyed being off of the Seawall!

We got to the location. Was a bit confusing to locate. Had to bring 3 large luggage’s up a steep staircase. Entire complex was very strong odor of cleaning chemicals. We were all nauseated the whole night. Our toilet didn’t work. Luckily my husband could fix it. Looks like they tried to previously using Bobby pins and tape.
Was very loud. No sound proofing of street noise or neighbors. Heard neighbors text alert all night and motorcycles. windows very thin. Beautiful large windows throughout. Had to get onto a chair to open the blinds as you had to be over 6’ to reach it.
Very comfy couch and beds to sleep on. Be careful when showering. My daughter and son both fell. Very slippery.
Overall, great space and appeared very clean. Didn’t sleep much with outdoor noise but only a 5 minute walk to the cruise terminal.

This renovated historical loft was absolutely beautiful and nice and clean. There is a gorgeous chandelier in the kitchen area and we loved the open airy floor plan with gorgeous natural light. There were a few things to note. There was a very tall, steep staircase leading up to the apartment that we did not see listed anywhere. We had my mom with us who has trouble climbing stairs and we didn’t know if she would be able to make it up and down them. She did manage, but it would have been nice to know this before we got there. Also, the handles to open and close the blinds in the beautiful windows are about 7 feet in the air and only one of us was tall enough to (barely) reach them to close the blinds. As wonderful as the location was, it was very noisy with motorcycles, loud vehicles blaring music and people shouting and talking loudly in the street outside until about 3 am. Now that we know what to expect, we would still book this location again because it was a great space. I just like knowing what to expect before hand so we can make plans to adjust. All in all, it was a great stay.

The property is super comfortable and close to lots of the nearby attractions. We were able to walk to reastaurants and local light life venues without any issues. The property was a little warm for my taste and after emailing the property manager said not to worry and they would send someone to look into it. It endedup that the AC was working fine it just wasn't able to keep up with the 100+ degree weather in Texas, but that was not problem, they installed a window unit that kept the place super cold. And they got it done within 1 hr of the initial email I've stayed a other BeachBox managed properties as their communication is above standard with house rules and instructions already sent before arriving to the property. Well managed, well maintained properties, will stay at other BeachBox properties next time i visit. Great experience and highly recommended.

Incredible stay in Galveston thanks to staybeachbox & vrbo. The place was perfectly located, cleaned professionally and managed attentively the entire stay. The location is great & minutes from many attractions. The apartment is updated & easy to access. Will definitely be back and eager to do a 1 month stay.

We had such a great time at this place! It’s close to everything, super modern and comfortable, very spacious, and it had everything we needed for a nice getaway in Galveston. There is no designated parking, but there was plenty of street parking available right in front of the building the whole time we were there. If you have little kids, note that it does get kind of noisy outside at night because it’s so close to the Strand, so having a sound machine definitely helped. We would definitely recommend it and would love to stay there again!
