About this house rental

This gem sits in the heart of picturesque South Frankfort, near the Kentucky river. The house is located down the road from the beautiful state capital and within walking distance to amazing shops and restaurants downtown. With tourist opportunities like Buffalo Trace distillery only minutes away, and Lexington and Louisville less than an hours drive, this house is the perfect spot to experience it all! Especially for folks who like to explore and wander around quaint little towns!
Please note that the full bathroom downstairs is located in the master bedroom. This may be fine with families that have kids sleeping in the guest bed or friends who do not mind each other walking in and out of their bedroom to get to the bathroom. probably not ideal for 2 couples to stay here as bedrooms are not fully private.

Also please note that we do not have a dining room table downstairs. That seems to be the most common complaint/request. We have put in a desk/eating table in the guest room area for this, as there is just no other place to put a large table. We also put a huge ottoman in the living room to assist with this. Dinner parties would not be an option in this house.
A convenient lock box for access to the space will be on the door for check-in/check-out, however we will be available for contact and ready to assist if you have any questions or need advice, directions, or suggestions on places to visit or eat. We love our little town and want you to experience all that Frankfort and the surrounding areas have to offer, so don't hesitate to give us a call!
Our tree lined streets are filled with the most beautiful houses and nicest people you will ever meet! In addition, our downtown has the most amazing bourbon bars, wine bar, an authentic Irish pub, several amazing restaurants of all variety, ice-cream shop, and a bakery that makes the most amazing sweets you have ever put in your mouth. We have an awesome eclectic coffee shop sandwiched by an amazing book store and a Kentucky crafter's store, as well as a few antique shops to boot! There are also several historical sites for our history buffs, and if you visit in the summer time, we have a concert summer series on the old capital lawn. ALL OF THIS IS IN WALKING DISTANCE OF WHERE YOU WILL BE STAYING!

This craftsman style house has been fully renovated as a furnished duplex in a safe and quiet section of downtown Frankfort. The entire house is tastefully decorated, roomy and comfortable, allowing a cozy flow within the rooms. There is plenty of room throughout the house room for a pack n play/portable crib as well. In addition, the kitchens upstairs and downstairs are fully functional and perfect for preparing meals. Parking is free and conveniently located directly in front of the house along the street. It is perfect for a multifamily vacation, giving each family member a space of their own and plenty of room to spread out.
Our house is located downtown, with easy access to nearby highways (60, 64, 127) that will quickly and easily transport you to nearby cities, or we have several famous, beautiful scenic routes (Old Frankfort Pike) that wind through horse country.

The home was well decorated, great location, with good response. Unfortunately the home has ants, as has mold/algae in the Kuerig machine which made it unusable, some beds did not have linens and had to reach out to get access to locked closet at bedtime which was inconvenient, one of the second floor bedrooms does not have a door, second floor restroom has a window in the shower that does not have covering allowing ability to see into shower, and enough toilet paper was provided. These things caused for a less enjoyable stay especially with all fees tacked on to cost of reservation for cleaning etc.

I believe this is a property that is new to VRBO, so I am giving it 5 stars, although I would have only given 4 if I had paid what I believe will be a higher price later. My husband and I are actually Property Management Consultants, and I ALWAYS recommend that owners spend a few nights in their properties - it is the easiest way to catch the SIMPLE things that are missing or unnoticed otherwise. Such as - no dish sponges or small dish rags for wiping out dishes or washing countertops. No vacuum, and only one very small broom (it is a 1900 square-foot house with all wood floors. The shower in the downstairs bathroom dripped almost constantly, and left a nasty pink mold stain on the bottom of the curtain (which was too short). The back door has the strangest lock ever, and no instructions for opening it. Other than these few annoyances, the house is lovely and the owner is responsive. I would highly recommend this property!

The house itself was wonderful, but 1 ceiling fan didn't work, the toilet seats were practically falling off, 1 shower was dripping constantly, and the sheets had 2 brown spots--ewwww. Also, no toaster and no hair dryer!!?? The management company did get in touch with me a day later and offered to send someone out for repairs, but I didn't want to deal with it. With a little attention to detail it could be a 10.
