About this chalet rental
Welcome to Black Forest Chalet -- a serene and inviting cabin/chalet tucked away in the woodlands of Black Forest. Featuring an outside 4-person hot tub, a huge kitchen stocked with pots and pans, regular coffee maker and Keurig coffee maker, three bedrooms (two queen beds and one king), master bedroom suite with attached bathroom --including a jetted bathtub -- two smart TVs, and tasteful decorations and design, this forest cabin offers the true Colorado experience with plenty of amenities.
The home also offers near panoramic views of the surrounding area, mountains, and forest from nearly every window. Enjoy the amazing sunsets on the patio balcony seating area and be sure to keep an eye out for deer and other assorted wildlife that frequent the area. Go for a hike or walk or play a round of badminton in the improvised badminton court (racquets and birdies provided in hallway closet in house). Or relax at the end of the day in the private, on site, hot tub with the sights and sound of nature all around and the moon and stars overhead.
For guests looking for a property without stairs, you are in luck. While the surrounding outside terrain and walkways are quite hilly, the house itself is one level (the basement level is unfinished/inaccessible) and all bedrooms are on the main floor. There is a step into the house -- but beyond that its all one level.
There is currently no air-conditioning at the property and during extremely hot periods in the summer the property can get a bit warm during the day. Fortunately, the area usually cools off significantly in the evening and the abundance of windows and breezes help to cool it down a bit for sleeping.

Was a perfect place for us to stay with our dogs. nice large yard for walking and short trip to local sites like Garden Of The Gods, Airforce Academy, Royal Gorge, etc. Would definitely stay here again :)

We had a great time in Colorado Springs, the property was nice we loved having the hot tub. Everything was consistent with the description of the property, however the lack of air conditioning was a major downside. We brought fans and opened the windows but being that it is July it was still quite warm. We tried to go and do activities during the day so we wouldn’t be there in the hottest part of the day.
When we first got to the property there was a pool of water in the kitchen floor. We cleaned it up but couldn’t tell where it was coming from. Once we got settled we turned the ice maker on and not long after water was pouring out from the freezer. We turned it off and bought a bag of ice.

The stay was good. It was a nice rural home near all the urban conveniences! The only bummer was the weather was pretty hot and without AC it was a little uncomfortable in the afternoon but cooled down nicely in the evening. We appreciated the large parking that accommodated our trailer while we stayed at the home.

We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and the quiet mornings, spotting deer and birds. Easy location to pop out and head somewhere for the day. Nice clean hot tub. Nice open living area for energetic kids to roll around :-)

The wonderful accommodations made our stay in the Colorado Springs area delightful. The house was comfortable, the kitchen was large and well-equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the deck among the tall pine trees. We even watched a couple of deer frolicking in the yard one day. The house is located away from the noise and traffic of the city, but close enough to quickly and easily get to all the local attractions. A short walk down the driveway, and you can see Pike's Peak and the mountain ranges. About a mile away is the trailhead for a great 5 mile loop hiking trail. We really enjoyed our stay.

This house was perfect for us. We were away from the busy Colordado Springs, but still close enough to enjoy what Colorado Springs has to offer! The only issue we had was the fridge started leaking. Austin was quick to respond and let us know that it was just the fridge and you just had to be sure the seals were aligned and didn't stick well. Once we knew that, we were 100% fine and knew what to do. I would definitely recommend that the owners of the house replace the fridge to be sure that if no one is staying at the house, it doesn't accidentally ruin the floor!
Having soap, paper towels, laundry soap and dishwashing soap was an added bonus to our stay! We brought our own, but it was such a nice thought to have those things for guests who may have forgotten or were traveling by plane.
We had no problems and really were amazed by the kindness of people in the area. We were within an hour of things like Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, shopping and restaurants. We will have to come back some day since there was so much more to explore!
Thank you for a wonderful place to stay while we explored beautiful Colorado!

Beautiful setting in the ponderosa pines. Home was as described and check in was easy just a tip on front door handle needs a hard press down to open. Beds very comfy but one window blind is missing in smaller bedroom. Covered porch and kitchen views were most enjoyable. We would stay here again!

The house was exactly as described in the listing. It was clean and comfortable. The location was great, secluded yet close to everything you need. Would definitely stay again if in the Colorado Springs area!

This cabin had comfy beds and while it was out in the woods, it wasn’t difficult to get places. Town is definitely growing towards it. Responsive property manager to our single challenge. We would stay here again if back in the area.

We enjoyed our stay! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. My only suggestion is a bbq grill. We will stay again in the future!

I would never go back to this location. I fould dust all over the top of cabinets. The temperature was 85 degrees inside the house all day. Made it miserable to stay in there. Houses close by to the property so not as much privacy as i hoped. Beds were uncomfortable. Not a very good vacation spot at all.

We had a great time at this property with our 2 kids and 2 dogs. The location is absolutely perfect, it felt private with all the land and trees but was close enough to run to the store. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub as well.

Love the location and the house, nestled in the tall trees with lots of land nearby. The family loved the house and the location. Everything was clean and as promised. We had a great time.

The 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage was so pretty, clean and quiet. The master bedroom and private on-suite with jacuzzi tub was so comfortable and relaxing. The outdoor jacuzzi was an excellent way to relax after spending our time hiking. We were close to Garden of the God's, Monument and lots of dining. I would definitely recommend this for relaxation and plan to come back.
