About this cottage rental
This charming cottage calls Crescent City home, the secluded jewel among California's North Coast. Unwind at this comfortable beach town retreat nestled between the foothills of redwood forests and The Pacific Ocean. This is the gateway to wild rivers, secret beaches, and giant redwoods. A great place to relax after a day at the beach, hiking, floating down the river or dipping your toes in the crisp ocean waters.
The cozy cottage, known as Seascape, has everything you need to feel right at home: (aka "Tiny Home") The Master bedroom features a comfortable Queen size bed. The bathroom had a spacious shower, sink, and toilet. Two lofts stand at the top of the stairs with (1) full-size and 2) twin beds respectively. The doorless lofts are great for children, teens and petite adults. (Lower ceilings height is only 48" tall). The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, deep sink, electric 4 burner stove and full-sized oven, and spacious countertops. Walk out the sliding doors and relax on your peaceful covered patio and large deck to unwind after a full day at the beach or hiking in the majestic forests.
The Cottages at Crescent City are located on the far North Side of town just of the Hwy 101. Seascape is one of three units available on VRBO at this location. Ask about additional information if you are interested in a group vacation or family reunion or need a Dog friendly unit.
Please note, we share a driveway off Hwy 101 with Pacific Ocean Park.
Laundry Room available on the property. Access to the unit will be sent prior to your arrival. BBQ available as well Please note security cameras and motion detector lighting are installed on the outside of cottages facing the parking area and entryway

The house was just perfect for a couple of days of sightseeing the nearby redwood forests. We had everything we needed at the house, and it was so clean and pleasantly decorated on the inside. The patio was a great place for morning coffee.

It was a great stop in our road trip. Great to finally have separate rooms and privacy after weeks of camping and hotels. Owners were great to deal with and very nice people. Wish we could have stayed longer

We rented 2 of the 3 cottages and had a great time celebrating a birthday and the 4th. Great location between the beaches and Giant Redwoods. The weather was perfect. It was super hot where we live! Glad to get out of the heat for a few days!

We enjoyed our stay at Crescent City and the Seascape Cottage. We visited Redwoods, enjoyed the ocean, and great places to eat.

Clean and nice place to stay, but in a trailer park. One of the neighbors was working on a race car one night right next door.

Quiet, great location, easy to find, clean and cozy. Most restraunts and bars were within walking distance.

The place was super cute, clean, and less than 8 minutes to anything we needed. The host was super responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

I have mostly good things to say, but the neighborhood was not great and no hot tub on property. Extremely clean, easy check in, very attentive owners. A local young man greeted us shortly after arrival, nice touch. We thought we left something behind and owners responded immediately. The inside is as described. Upstairs has very low ceilings. We had 3 adults and the owner reached out to us right away to make sure we were ok with that. However, the neighborhood is not great. Its in a rundown trailer park. It is fenced off and plenty of parking. Listing states there is a hot tub. It is not on property and may have been somewhere in the trailer park. Location was not bad. I still gave it 4 stars.

My teenagers and I came down to visit Redwood National Park and stayed at Seascape. This tiny house was the perfect home base for us. Each teen had their own room/space and we had a fridge/kitchen to use. The Keurig in the kitchen saved me a boatload of money on coffee and even though we ate most of our meals out, we had the fridge/microwave to enjoy our leftovers.
The location was great! Easy access to the Hwy and close to most things in town.
Our only complaint is that the teens are approaching 6ft tall and it would have been nice to have a little more furniture space in the living room area. We were able to make it work, but I’m not sure how we would have with more than 3 of us.
When we venture back to Crescent City, I will look into staying here again.

We lucked out finding such a place- having never visited the area we chose it based on the pictures and reviews. It was even better than we hoped for. Perfect location- close to the redwoods and the beach- close to groceries and everything really. It was cozy, clean, had everything we needed (and things we would never have thought of- flashlights, nightlights). Although our youngest is 6, appreciated all the younger kid-friendly touches such as outlet covers, cupboard magnetic locks, etc. Our kids had so much fun in their loft bedrooms and we loved sitting on the sunny deck. Highly recommend the Simpson-Reed grove hike- and Yoko was amazing at the visitors centre in Crescent city (close by an awesome playground as well).

Our family sought out a place both close to the Redwood National Forest and the beach. In our search, we found Seascape to be the perfect place between both. The cottage is exactly as described and what you see in pictures. It was the perfect size for our family. The owners literally thought of everything to make you feel comfortable. From cold water bottles in the fridge, a shower caddy with body wash, shampoo and conditioner supplied, to complimentary slippers - for those of us who had to leave ours at home due to luggage room! They truly came in handy after long days of hiking in the Redwoods and long walks on the beaches! I would definitely recommend this place for families with little ones who can fit comfortably upstairs - low ceilings upstairs might be a tight squeeze for a taller person. We had 1 adult & 1 youth stay upstairs and we managed just fine.

A really lovely stay in such a cute property that is so well taken care of - everything we needed was provided. My 4 & 6 yr olds loved the loft rooms!
Joni was ver responsive and helped out promptly with all questions we had.
Property is only about 20 minutes from great hikes amongst the beautiful Redwoods.
If you visit we really recommend Seaquake - a restaurant about 10 mins away - great food and drinks!
Overall a great stay, thank you Joni!

Sweet tiny home that is a short drive to the beach or the redwoods. Absolutely enjoyed our time here. Any problems and the host is a text message away. Great experience!!

Very nice tiny home, could have easily slept 6. We went with our daughter, son in law & grand-daughter. Very nice for all of us.

This house worked great for our family. It was small, but thay was clear in the description. Everyone was super organized and clean! My kids enjoyed the loft area! We had a couple issues when we got there with the door code not working and the smoke alarms beeping, but the host was very fast to respond and resolve the issues! The only suggestion I would give is more seating around the tv. It is located in a mobile home park which I wasn't expecting but it worked out fine. It was close to the Redwood parks we were visiting and overall it was a nice stay!

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 children girls, ages 3 & 5. The host was very friendly and very easy to reach. The cottage was very clean and decorated in a cute beach theme. My kids absolutely loved the loft bedrooms, I was a little nervous about the safety but the layout is very safe even for smaller children! The cottage had everything you could need in the fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, soaps in the shower and extra towels (which is always nice). The larger porch with patio furniture was very relaxing and had plenty of room for our kids to play. We loved being close to everything too, restaurants and the beach were only a few minutes drive!
We loved this little cottage and will definitely be back!

We came out to Crescent City for a quick getaway with out kiddos (3 and 4). The house is at a mobile home park right off 101, which worked perfect for us- we were able to navigate away and back to our home base quickly and easily. The home was fully stocked, clean linens, kitchen tools and appliances. It was just enough to make it an easy place to stay. All the cabinets are labeled and they even have baby proofing locks on them for if you have kids. Joni was super responsive and easy to get a hold of - we were even able to stay an extra day after we got a flat tire halfway through our trip. The only thing missing was a washing machine which really is not a necessity for us when we travel. Besides that the home was just enough space for us as a landing pad- we spent the majority of our time out and about exploring the area!
As parents traveling with young kids this was a great location and home. They had minimal breakables laying around (parents you know what I mean), toddler plates/cups/silverware, and a simply small layout. The hard part for us was the amount of light and noise in the loft where our kids slept (the two twin beds). I your kids usually need it to be darker I highly recommend 2 or3 travel blackout curtains (we only had one). The bathroom sink is a bit tall and the faucet is far back, a small stool would have been helpful for potty trained kids who aren’t very tall.
We had a great stay and hope to come back again soon!

This tiny home is cozy with all the things you need. My teens enjoyed having their own spaces in the loft. Claudia was super helpful on site. It’s a great location for exploring the beach & redwoods. The WiFi is spotty at the cottage and in town. Not really a big deal for us, but I wouldn’t expect to work remotely from here until it gets upgraded.

As first time visitors to Crescent City we were pleasantly surprised by how close the "Seascape Cottage" was to the giant redwood forest and the beautiful beaches. Only about twenty minutes away , we picnicked among the tall redwoods and hiked along the Smith River in the Jedidiah Smith Redwood Forest. We enjoyed the breathtaking vistas from the Battery Point Lighthouse and spotted a number of sea lions next to the Chart Room Restaurant at the harbor. A number of excellent seafood restaurants close to the cottage offered "fresh catches" of the day and delicious clam chowder that rival those in the northeast.
The Seascape Cottage is tastefully decorated and sporting a cozy beach vibe. It supplied all the amnesties well beyond our expectations. The staff were extremely accommodating throughout our stay. Our grandchildren will accompany us on the next visit, and they will definitely enjoy the two loft bedrooms and spacious deck.

We had a great time in this space. It was smaller than expected, but worked well for our needs. We loved the coffee maker and all the coffee choices. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking. Wonderful place to stay, we drove about 25 minutes to get to the beach at Brookings, Oregon from here.

My boys (9 and 6) and I had a great time in Crescent City. The tiny house was perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Check in and out was simple and the property manager was accommodating and quick to respond. The property location was unexpected. We experienced a lot of traffic noise when the windows were open. There’s very limited outdoor space and many other homes in close proximity . I enjoyed the small outdoor seating area in the early mornings but I hoped for a more interesting view. Overall, we had a nice experience.

This was a great stay and property. Beautiful area and our little tiny home was more than big enough for our little family. Everything we needed was available in our unit and we were very close to hiking and beaches. Great food and scenery abound. We were a few miles from the beach but it was so easy to get to. It was an easy, fun stay in beautiful Northern California.
