Cons: Bumpy road to get to the hotel, steps

My experience at this hotel was fantastic. The service was excellent—very helpful and professional throughout our stay. They even assisted us last minute with our travel plans, which was greatly appreciated. The room was clean and spacious, and we enjoyed the good quality food offered. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and accommodating stay.

Amazing Hotel, Friendly staff, Nice Large Bed and Bathroom, Also room is large. Great Pool and Bar Area.
Location abit Difficult to access due to Nusa Penida Roads, so prepare to be slightly inconvenienced on you journey, Island still Fairly new to Mainstream tourism

The hotel is very nice and has an amazing view, the only inconvenience I would point out is that to arrive there is a little bit complicated because of the road conditions, but it like that in all Nusa Penida

A very ordinary hotel which is not worth the price , below average service , room was OK view was OK but overall don’t expect anything luxury or as the name suggests sea view relaxation , there are lots of stairs to go to the restaurant downstairs and the road to get to the hotel is just horrible. Quality of breakfast below average. Everything was just disappointing.

I had a wonderful stay at Sea la Vie hotel. My bungalow was lovely and private. The food was good and the service in the restaurant was excellent. Big shout out to Dayu for her hospitality and lovely smile. The pool area, although small is tidy and very well maintained.
Road to access hotel is very bad but ok if you’re in a car.
However, on my last day, I sat in the chair in my room to enjoy the air conditioning before taking the ferry back to Bali. It was the first time I sat on this chair and the leg broke. I informed reception on checkout that the leg broke. They wanted me to pay for the chair, even though the chair should be able to hold a normal weight. I was a little disappointed and I refused to pay. I understand that if I broke a lamp or a chair on purpose, I would pay for the damages however me sitting on a faulty (?) chair should not mean the customer needs to pay.
This was management’s view and not the wonderful staff working there.
A lovely stay overall!

This hotel was great I can see why it’s highly rated. I do feel like it is a bit highly priced in comparison to some of the other resorts we stayed in that were equal or better overall and a bit cheaper. We really did enjoy our stay here the staff and service were all great.

Beautiful hotel located right on the water. You can see the hotel front from the port wheb you arrive. Restaurant food is delicious. Service there is on island time so give yourself time to eat as it is a little slower. We visited in February which is slow season. We really enjoyed our time there. For light sleepers, the rooms are not insualted so you do hear every early morning noise including worship songs at 5am. Staying by the port anywhere in indonesia will be noisy in the mornings. When you arrive to the port, hire a taxi to take you to the hotel as the road is a hard walk! Overall, picturesque and enjoyable for us!

We booked the ocean view villa, but upon our arrival at the resort, they offered us a free upgrade to their private pool villa. This villa was beautiful! The design is very modern and it was extremely clean. All of the staff were very nice and helpful as well. Highly recommend!

We had the most lovely time at Sea La Vie resort. Aga our manager made the experience the most impressive. He ran to town twice to get us sunscreen and bungee cords. He also put out many fires and was so kind to the guests and made sure that everything ran smoothly. He is one of the best managers we've experienced at a resort. The resort was unusually clean. We were there for 3 nights and didn't experience even one bug in our room. We were very surprised as we've been around Bali and experienced many bugs. The cleanliness was off the chart. The one setback which would not have been a setback if I had known about. It was the fact that there is a Muslim mosque nearby and at 4:50 AM. They start their morning chant prayers by speakerphone and it is near the resort so. You hear it 5 times A-day and it is very loud and the. Resort does its best to cover over. Speakerphone noise pollution with music. Other than that we were absolutely ecstatic to stay there. They have a private dock that you walk down to the ocean and we snorkeled the water was exceptionally clear and clean and the coral and sea life was. Beautiful and we didn't even have to leave our resort. The pool was our favorite part the temperature was perfect. We ordered food and drinks in the pool never had to leave.Note you want sunscreen and some sort of shade so if you have. A? Hat or if you bring an umbrella? The pool has no shade during the day.

Hotel was extremely beautiful, staff was amazing.
The only downside was that at 4am every day there were prayers coming from the town thru very loud speakers. It woke us up both nights we were there. They go on at 4am and all through the day and usually last about an hour or so.
It was pretty cool being dropped off at the hotel’s dock on a taxi boat.
It was kind of cloudy both days but the view was still amazing.

This is a beautiful hotel and property! Unfortunately the walls between rooms are so thin that you can hear your neighbors conversations, very clearly.
The property itself has a great view but the location is inconvenient. To walk to town you are best taking the short cut through a narrow trail in the woods and through a boat yard . Otherwise, over 1hr walk on the road.

Absolutely stunning views. Incredible boutique hotel. Breakfast was great, staff were excellent. Infinity pool is perfect. Good location close to harbour. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Great hotel, fantastic view, of course you will hear the mosque but was fine by me. Staff really nice and warm. Very good restaurant, which is a very good thing since the road to get there is kinda rocky!!! Only negative point is the audio by the pool and for the restaurant is poor quality. This is not also the kind of ambiance to but too loud and pop music. They should focus on easy listening music to create a good ambiance for dinner !

Sea La Vie is a sleek, modern hotel with a gorgeous view of the bay. The swimming pool and restaurant overlooking the bay and Mt. Agung in the distance is really the highlight. Rooms were very clean, comfortable, and new. Property location is at least 15 minutes from most restaurants and attractions and the roads around the property are narrow and in poor condition. We got around fairly easily on motorbikes which the hotel arranged for us.

Beautiful view and awesome pool with a bar. Friendly and helpful staff. Villa has a rustic beach home vibe. It's comfortable. Clean pillows and sheets. Not the nicest washroom; doesn't have a fan. You do have to adjust your expectation based on this hotel being on a remote island.
Like others said, extremely poor and narrow road to the hotel. No way I'd drive a scooter there even though I drove throughout the rest of Bali. You'll need to hire a driver to explore the island which is worth it. The hotel can arrange it.
There's a mosque near by. You can hear the prayers over the loud speakers throughout the day, even early in the morning (like 4:30 am). The hotel does provide ear plugs that help.
Overall, I'd stay here again if I ever came back to Nusa Penida for 2 or 3 nights. Wouldn't do more because it's so remote and mosque would eventually drive me crazy.

Beautiful property and incredible staff!
We were a bit hesitant as this was a new resort. The drive to get there is a bit bumpy but once you arrive, it’s worth the drive and you quickly realize most streets in Nusa are similar.
Our room was beautiful, the staff were so friendly and helpful to arrange for transport / recommendations. Pool and views were amazing!! They made our Nusa stay for our honeymoon very memorable. We can’t wait to return.

Incredible views of the harbor below. Super comfortable beds…definitely Not handicap friendly…the road to the hotel is a little rough…restaurant is not vegan friendly but offers a nice menu…staff is very friendly but it would nice to see someone in the office starting at 6am…the hotel is expanding but the construction is not really a problem…it’s a beautiful location and great hotel to stay at…we will be back.
