About this house rental
This amazing home has spectacular ocean views including Battery Point Lighthouse from three different levels. The very top level is a cupola with a 360 degree panoramic view. The hot tub has great views as well. Access to the ocean is just a short walk down the road. Many great restaurants and other attractions are within five minutes drive.

Everything about this property is top notch-we all agreed it was the best we've ever stayed in. Location is amazing and the house itself is spectacular. We met up with 2 other families who had rented their own houses and ours was perfect for hosting the dinners. There are so many different places for groups to congregate. You will not regret staying here-100% worth the price!

We LOOOOOVED this house. We could have stayed there forever. The hosts were wonderful. The city was so great. We loved that we could walk over to the big light house and the tide pools. It was so heavenly. The only downside is the neighbors. Which I understand they can't control, and i understand the neighbors not loving living next to a vrbo. But with 6 kids and mine and my husbands personality we were constantly worried about anything we did outside that would get us in trouble. It is also a bummer that the house doesn't have "real" beach access. But it is a 2 minute walk to where you can get down to the beach and then one your kids are on the beach you can watch them from the house. Thank you for having your property available to rent and at a good price.

We enjoyed the ocean views and easy access to the beach and tidepools. The house has plenty of room and is great for kids. Access to the beach is less than a block down the sidewalk.

Very nice home and location. You could spend a whole weekend just by foot walking to the nearby beaches, light house, brewery, pier, tide pools, post office, etc. we only had to go into town once to the supermarket that was less than 5 mins away. This home has so many extra amenities like the outdoor hot tube with a view of the lighthouse and the sea. This home definitely had a welcoming vibe with great quality of all the important details plus you can feel the care and appreciation the owners have for their enjoyable place. I would recommend this stay for either family with children or even better for adults seeking a peaceful, relaxing, quiet, and comfortable place to use as their headquarters for travel around the region, or even just to stay out here for a peaceful weekend. NOT a place for loud parties and big crowds so look elsewhere if that is what you need.

THE BOYS HAD A SPECIAL SURPRISE WHEN I SHOWED THEM THE GAME ROOM, WHICH IS WHERE THEY SPENT THEIR TIME UNLESS THEY WERE ON THE BEACH EXPLORING.

This is a really special property. It’s even better than the pictures! The views are magical and it was perfect for our family to all stay comfortably. The hot tub, kids toys and game room are all fantastic. Not to mention the lighthouse lookout. We’d love to visit again! Thank you!

Our two families have been coming to Crescent City or Brookings for 15 years every spring and fall. Our kids have grown up with this tradition. We surf, tidepool, cook, and play games together. We have stayed in 15-20 short-term rentals over the years. This one might be our favorite based on our needs and budget.
Here's why:
- This home is cozy, thoughtful, and welcoming. Other rentals may be more recently renovated inside, but they are sterile, empty, professional rental houses. This one feels like home, which we prefer.
- The beds, chairs, and couches are really comfortable. There are plenty of nooks and rooms to spread out for puzzles, movies, napping, reading, etc. Everyone can do what they want.
- The hot tub and game room in the garage are awesome. Vintage full size video games and a nice table tennis set-up were big hits.
- Kitchen cookware, the laundry unit, and plenty of trash cans out back are all small things that add up to making a very easy vacation possible.
- The VIEWS from the living room, lookout room, and primary bedroom are the best of any house we've rented. Just wow.
- The location is perfect for accessing the lighthouse, the pier, Pebble Beach Drive, etc.
On top of all that, Dave is very nice and easy to reach by phone. And we had pleasant conversations with the neighbors, who are friends with Dave. Good vibes all around.

The check in was easy and communication with the owner was helpful and efficient. The home is beautiful and located close to the beach, lighthouse, pier, harbor, park, and a great restaurant. All of it is easy access. The description is spot on. The views from the house are relaxing and gorgeous. The home could have used a little more cleaning as there were crumbs on a table, little kid handprints on one of the windows with a view and the recliners in the living room were all sticky. Easy to wash off though. The furniture in the house was very comfortable including the beds. The hot tub was clean and enjoyable, except the neighbors sensor light that comes on at night when you get in. They have all the amenities you would need. The game room was super fun as well even with us being in our upper 50s. We had a little ant problem in the upstairs bedroom but it was no problem to take care of. They just wanted in from the storm. Over all this place is a great place to stay for a family or a couple. We plan on coming back here !!

Great location for a family get together. The views are amazing and the close proximity to the beach is perfect. Game room is a great addition for the teenagers (and want to be teenagers) in our group. Exactly what we needed for our weekend of remembrance!

We stayed here 4th of July and (except for the fog) had an amazing view of the lighthouse and fireworks. Amazing views from all over the house, easy walk to the water, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful space and plenty of room!

We had an amazing time, the house was excellent, Dave was responsive and always accommodating. We love this place, would not hesitate to come back again in the future. Indeed, I have to believe this is the best place for a large group in all of Crescent City.

This property is super cute! It has great views and is located right on the beach. The property is unique and spacious and has everything you would need, which I always appreciate! I didn’t need to communicate with the owners but they seemed sweet based on the emails I received. Overall a great place to stay especially with a group!
A couple of things I didn’t expect:
- The attached apartment. The laundry/game room is in the garage which attaches the two properties. The renter was very nosy when we were there and hovered every time we were outside.
- The not-so-nice neighbors. The house right in front of the property has two very grumpy owners. My mentally disabled sister took one step onto their driveway (literally one step) when looking for my mom and the man came out moments later with a golf club to “get his mail”. I did not appreciate being intimidated in this way. This is out of the owners control, but if you do plan on getting loud or have kids this might not be the place for you.
Don’t let that detract from the beauty of this place! It’s a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay! We loved being so close to the ocean and enjoyed exploring the tide pools nearby. The game room and hot tub both were a big hit, especially with our kids. It was a very easy walking distance to the Seaquake restaurant, which we enjoyed! Very well-equipped space and very spacious place for our family. Thank you!

It was exactly as I expected from the description. Our party of 7 teens and adults had plenty of space, all the tools needed to cook and relax. The hot tub was clean, warm and had a great view! The views from every room were stunning, the beds were comfortable and the location worked out great! We would totally recommend this place and would love to return.

My family and I stayed here for a few days and wish we could have stayed more. The owners are so kind and prompt with questions. The house is beautiful. They thought of everything you could ever need. My kids loved the look out tower and the arcade games. So close to the light house (you must do the tour!) and the beach. Everyone in the city we met was so kind. It was an amazing trip! This house and location are beautiful!

The property is as it appears and better. Everything is labeled in the kitchen- making it easy to find and use items. The house is clean and has fabulous views. But is still feels welcoming in every room. Even my older teens were impressed by the property. We had an evening of video games as a family that was fun. And if you want to spend an evening staring at the view rather than cooking, Door Dash was able to find us and deliver supper.
Public beach access is within half a block and we felt comfortable walking there in the evening. If you are able to cross to the lighthouse at low tide, do! We would happily stay here again.

We all had an amazing time! The house is right there on the ocean and smells amazing just like the coast! It was clean, the beds were comfy and the views are beyond incredible. It’s ashort walk to the brewery or a short walk to the lighthouse, but watch the tide 😂 We will definitely be back to this amazing, scenic, and clean property ❤️ thank you very much!!

The location was prime - great walking distance to activities with my littles. The small issue we encountered was handled quickly after communicating with Dave. We loved the game room and kids' toys which kept us all entertained when we weren't outside.

Dave, property owner, has been so great to deal with even when I made some ridiculous mistakes. He was kind and helpful and it went well after that. The property has the best views one could ask for! We certainly enjoyed our stay at the house. We wished we could have stayed much longer. Maybe some day we can.

This property is stunning! We were in town for a tourney so we didn't get to enjoy the home as much as we'd have liked but it made this so much easier. The home is in a great location, comes stocked with everything you need in case you get into town late which is a touch I always enjoy when rented a property. Dave was very kind and helpful when I needed clarity. This is a great home if you have children that need to be entertained on a rainy day. Felt like home and the views were just stunning! We will be back!! Thank you!

We had such an amazing time here. The home is spacious and extremely ideal in terms of location and amenities. Great for gatherings with family and friends. The views cannot be beat and the master bedroom has an observation tower in it! The home was extremely well stocked and everything was so thoughtfully laid out. Lots of toys for kids- our 2 year old loved that part! Walking distance to beach, lighthouse, and local brewery. Less than a 10 minute drive to Jedediah Smith state park. Hosts were kind and responsive. Could not recommend this rental enough!!! We want to stay again!

This Lighthouse home exceeded all of our expectations! Cleanliness is the most important factor for my family when we choose a rental. This home is immaculate. There wasn’t a spot, a smudge, or a hair anywhere. The dishes, utensils, and towels all appear to be brand new. The beds are comfortable, and there are plenty of extra linens. Communication with Dave, the host, was easy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the multiple gathering rooms, and the amazing views! Dave and Lavonne definitely took time considering all their guests’ needs when preparing their home. We had everything we needed right there at the beautiful home. If we ever end up in Crescent City, we will be staying here again.
