About this apartment rental
This seaside townhouse may well be set in the heart of charming Scarborough – right where British seasiding began – but that's where the olde-worlde coastal charms end. Because inside, this home is a pure modern gem.
We're into the stylish blend of crisp, white finishes, rattan accents, and midcentury-inspired furniture. But we love the sweeping coastal views seen from nearly every room just that little bit more. Savour morning coffees on the south-facing balcony. Crash out in the lounge area with the morning papers. Or sneak back to the king-sized four-poster bed with a cuppa. Wherever you choose to be, those seaside views will be right there with you.
And when the sea finally calls, you won't have far to go. Take your pick from four sandy beaches along this mighty coastal stretch. Our vote goes to South Bay (a seven-minute walk away), where you'll find a charming pier with all the fish and chips and ice cream sundaes you could muster and donkey rides on the beach for a big helping of seaside nostalgia.
Then it's back home for sunset barbecues in the walled garden. Cradled by grade II listed walls that form part of St Mary's monastery, it's a charming spot to end the evening. And you can always chase the sun out onto the balcony – the sunsets from up here are spell bounding.
