My husband, myself, his mom & brother enjoyed the stay here. Mr Hubbard is a great host. We had a family member get sick & had to go to ER before we were to arrive. Mr Tom was very understanding & even offered us an extra night. The home was clean & even had us a bowl of fruit & homemade cookies which were delicious!

This was the best VRBO experience I’ve had! Tom is a great communicator and made everything so easy. The house is well-maintained and comfortable - and stocked, well-stocked!

This experience was perfect for my elderly parents, one of whom suffers from a lack of mobility and often uses a transport chair. Host Tom H and his partner could not possibly have been more hospitable-the place was very clean and inviting—we very much felt right at home here for almost an entire week! There is a great view from the front porch and kitchen window, too! Our hosts even made us homemade chocolate chip cookies—twice (my dad is like the Cookie Monster)!

If you are looking for a cozy, quiet and clean "home" base in the Asheville area I can only recommend this rental. The owner was amazing, everything was very welcoming including the home baked cookies.
We will stay there again next time.

First, let me say that Mr. Hubbard was a pleasure to work with. The Hubbard's supplied eggs, coffee and some other stores that were greatly appreciated after a long drive! The home is clean and stocked for those who want to stay in for meIf you are full time in a wheelchair this is layed out well and if you are able bodied, it's not weird...very comfortable and "normal" We look forward to our next visit to this beautiful area! an

My husband, sons and I stayed at Tom’s space for two nights, while planning our visit to Biltmore. The home was a short 20 minutes away from Biltmore.
The home was very well furnished, had comfortable beds, and even came with bonuses! A lightly stocked refrigerator with essentials like milk and orange juice for breakfast, a coffee corner, and some basic necessities.
The beds were comfortable, nice linens and plenty of pillows.
We would highly recommend staying!

Hubbard’s Hideaway was quiet, cozy, and convenient, all exactly as promised. The covered porch was perfect for morning coffee, what a spectacular view of the mountains! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house and location was everything we were looking for and had more space than anticipated. The house also has everything you already need ~ foods, coffee/tea, and toiletries. The owner is very responsive in case you have any questions. The highlight of our trip was being able to enjoy the mountain views from the front porch while enjoying morning coffee, breakfast, and wine. We got the full Carolina Mountain experience when a Bear also wanted some of our breakfast(Strong Bacon smell) one morning at the porch!

Good location to venture out in many directions. Saw the best fireworks ever in Asheville block party. Host was very helpful and communicated along the way. Enjoyed the visit.

This was a great spot for our family. The home is charming and spotless. The host couldn’t have been nicer. There were homemade cookies waiting for us. There was enough that we could have had showed up with our clothes and nothing else. There was food in the refrigerator, coffee ready to brew, ice cream in the freezer and WiFi was awesome. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at “Hubbard’s Hideaway” and we had a great time. The location was PERFECT for day trips to Asheville, Hendersonville, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, and Rutherford County.
This very clean and cozy mobile home was Tom’s parents. It is very private and the mountain view is lovely from the deck and master bedroom. We slept like babies all four nights - thanks to a VERY comfortable bed and fresh-mountain air breezes. The kitchen had EVERYTHING — a drip coffee pot and a Keurig, a microwave, full size oven/range, refrig, and ample counter space.
Tom and his wife are generous hosts. They went above and beyond by providing bread, eggs, coffee, milk, bottled waters, soft drinks and even wine. And, as many reviewers have mentioned, Mrs. Hubband bakes amazing chocolate chip cookies!
The last time we visited Hendersonville, we stayed at a very nice bed and breakfast in the heart of town. We found the peaceful location, privacy and pastoral views of Hubbard’s Hideaway much more enjoyable and relaxing.

Three of us spent the weekend in the hideaway. Everything was nice and comfortable and it was extremely well furnished. No negatives from us.

Such a charming home, up on a hill, tucked into some trees. We were lucky to have an afternoon rain come through and relaxed with the windows open. The renters are onsite but in a house down the hill so if you need anything, they’re available. They also have a ton of things around the house for your convenience (safety pins, extra toothbrushes, water bottles, bandaids). The home is very charming and perfect for the two of us. Would absolutely stay again if I come back to the Asheville area.

This is a very nice property and home out in Fletcher, very convenient to the airport and just about 20 minutes from both Asheville and Hendersonville.
The home was very clean and the owners had a number of nice welcoming features including homemade cookies, water, wine, some food in the refrigerator, and items in the bathroom like extra toothbrush, shampoo, lotion etc. There is a big screen TV in the LR as well as nice TVs in both bedrooms. The location and lot are really beautiful as well.
Everything went very smoothly with checking in, the owner was very responsive to communications as well.

We had a family emergency and we're unable to use the home but I can say the host was very gracious and understanding

The hosts of this quaint and clean home is by far the best. To be honest, I always have concern when booking online- a constant worry that the property doesn’t look like what the pictures do.— well you won’t have that to worry about here! I do recommend going by the house before going - because you may not need snacks and such like you think- or if you possible left something - these gracious and generous host may have it. Ladies I typically don’t use things at the home but I decided to use one of the make remover towels but this trip I did and it worked amazing! So use that! Everything has a spot and it’s easy to find what you need here. Mrs. Hubbard’s homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies were the icing on the cake for this sweet trip. Not far from town but away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The porch with a great view of the mountains was perfect to enjoy an early morning cup of coffee. Can’t wait to visit again.

This home was great and exactly like the other reviews we enjoyed ourselves so much. The hosts had thought of everything and we were welcomed with fruit, bread and everything we would need for snacks and breakfast. They even brought us warm from the oven delicious chocolate chip cookies!! It is by far the best VRBO experience I have had and I will definitely be back to enjoy it and recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the Asheville-Hendersonville area.

I would highly recommend the Hubbard Hideaway! The property is immaculate and very well stocked with many little details to provide for a very pleasant stay! I have never stayed at a VRBO so well set up for its guests! It is VERY clean and welcoming. My interaction with host,Tom, was pleasant and helpful. The location was perfect for us to visit the Biltmore and downtown Asheville. I will definitely put this property in my SAVE folder if I ever return to the area!

The “Hubbard Hideaway” is hands down the best Verbo I have ever stayed at. The Hubbard’s have thought of everything to make your stay the absolute best! Their place is immaculately clean and spacious, with large TV in the living room and tv’s in the bedrooms. The price was great and there were warm cookies waiting for us. Unbelievably, they even provided us eggs, milk, bread, and other goodies for breakfast in the morning. After our long drive we did not have the energy to go back out to the store, but we did not need to. I loved this cute little place in the mountains close to Asheville and Hendersonville, North Carolina.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is very clean and comfortable, with a great view. The Hubbards provided all the supplies we needed, and then some! They were very generous in providing food. It was so nice to enjoy breakfast and snacks without going to the store. The cookies were delicious! The Hubbards are great hosts and we would definitely stay here again.

This property was clean, comfortable and located in a beautiful setting. The owners were so hospitable to leave an assortment of groceries in the refrigerator and pantry for our use--not expected or necessary but so kind! Great accommodations at a great price! Thank you!

The Hubbards go over and above with their thoughtfulness. We arrived exhausted and were able to have a simple supper w/o leaving. The hospitality of the things available throughout the house was great, the attention to detail with the notes was very helpful. It was so nice to have breakfast items there, eggs, milk and bread, etc., made for relaxed mornings. Had a great stay and would definitely stay there again.

Our family has stayed here a couple of times and it’s our go to place to stay when we come with our two boys! The Hubbards feel like family and are always so attentive and the house just feels like our home and has everything we could need! The fresh baked cookies are fantastic and never stand a chance! We give this place a 100! We will be back in the fall! Thank you both so much for your warm hospitality! The Fraise Family!

The entire process of renting this property from start to finish was exemplary. Tom and Judy are amazing hosts. The house was clean, welcoming, and well-stocked. It was so lovely to come to a house that felt prepared and beyond for our family’s comfort. Tom was also extremely good at communicating with us before and during the stay. I cannot recommend this house more! Beautiful view, close to plenty of restaurants and shopping. Just wonderful!

Everything was perfect, location, check in, cleanliness, and an exceptional amount of supplies. We arrived after dark, and did not need to run out for snack, breakfast + supplies. We were happy to sit back and relax after 10 hours on the road.

So hospitable. Great for mobility challenged. No need to rush to the grocery or find a local eatery in a rush. Stayed nice and cozy during an attic blast with no worries 😌

This house was absolutely lovely! Newly updated, with small personal touches everywhere. There were notes to let us know about unexpected amenities, nice toiletries in case anything was forgotten, firm memory foam mattresses, large televisions, an accessible restroom in the master suite, and the list goes on. Mr. Hubbard was super nice and accommodating! Really it was a joy to book and stay here. We will likely come back next year.

I would highly recommend this property. They went above and beyond to welcome us. There were so many extras that made the stay so comfy!!! We were visiting Biltmore and it was only about 10 miles away. The property was secluded so it was the perfect weekend getaway.

My wife, son and I came to Hendersonville for our nephew's destination wedding and our extended stay to enjoy the Ashville and Western North Carolina mountains with a few hikes and tour of the Biltmore Vanderbilt Mansion as this was our first ever trip to NC.
We didn't want to stay in the local hotel chains as we wanted to enjoy the scenery of the the area in a quiet area. We happened to find Mr. Hubbard's property as we searched the offerings through VRBO and it did not disappoint us as it was exactly as advertised and then some!
We walked in the door and it was very clean, organized and had every convenience provided including some homemade cookies as a welcome to their property! Needless to say they didn't last long :-). The refrigerator was stocked with various beverages, including some ice cream drumsticks in the freezer. Although, very tempting, we refrained ourselves from over extending our welcome by consuming all of their hospitables. A very nice touch that you do not see in very many other VRBO's.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and tried to leave the Hubbard's Hideaway as we found it ... with the exception of the cookies :-) If ever in the area again in the future, we will most certainly look to stay at the Hubbard's property.
Thank you for your hospitality, it was very much appreciated!
