Loved the open floor plan, and screened in porch. Communication was great with easy check in and check out! We would definitely stay again! So happy we could bring our dog! Thanks for a great stay!

Great central location and the floor plan of the place was nice to sit and relax and enjoy time with friends both inside and outside on the patio.

For at least twenty years, until my children became adults, my family vacationed at Lakeside every summer. We have experienced many different cottages, some of which were quite rustic. This one was by far the best. The openness of the common area easily accommodated my extended family of five adults and two small children. The sofa was very comfortable, and the smart TV was an unexpected amenity. The mattresses on the beds seemed to be relatively new. The bathroom had a modern shower and sink as well as generous, convenient shelves to place toiletries on. The kitchen was well-stocked with glasses, plates, utensils, etc. (although we did not do any cooking.) The laundry facilities were top notch. Our favorite part of the cottage was the screened-in front porch with a swing. It was a bonus to have a yard for the kids to run in, and there was plenty of room for parking. The owner was responsive, both by phone and email. We look forward to another stay at 520 Laurel Avenue in the future.

The cottage is very warm and welcoming and well stocked. We had a great time and would definitely come back. Great communication with owners.

The rental home was well located, clean and welcoming. We appreciated that supplies and extra kitchen items were available. All arrival and departure instructions easy to follow. I gave the rental 4 stars overall because the bedrooms rooms are small, the bunkbeds were difficult to get in and out of with the ladders located in the middle, and there is no dishwasher.
We do have one recommendation that should be noted regarding the charming community of Lakeside.
Lakeside has entry fees between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Our group of 5 had to pay $570 at the gate for our 3 night stay. Although this is not a reflection of the rental house itself, I encourage the rental manager to point this out more prominently on the listing. I acknowledge that as the renter, I should have looked into this more closely, but the exceptionally high cost of entry took us by surprise.

My family and friends enjoyed our stay immensely! My husband uses a wheelchair, and George was very responsive to my accessibility questions.
For other wheelchair/Hoyer lift users:
Exterior doors were wide enough for my husband's chair (manual tilt-in-space). The middle bedroom (queen bed) doorway was narrow but workable. With a little rearranging, the bedroom fit his chair and Hoyer lift when needed. The bed was tall enough for the lift to fit underneath. There is a ~2-inch step into each of the bedrooms. This wasn't a problem since I push his manual chair.
This is the nicest house I've stayed in at Lakeside (out of about 8 houses)!

Had a fishing trip with friends! Great time. Confused on lockbox placement but found it! Wish there was a dishwasher but otherwise nice place to stay!

Quaint and clean cottage in a great location. We had plenty of space for two couples and a 1.5 year old. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch and outdoor patio. There is also a lovely shaded front yard.

We are a family of 4 plus 2 our adult children’s friends. This cottage is well furnished and included all the essentials. The Green Egg with accessories was a bonus! It is in a great location with an 8 minute walk to the campground, about an 8 minute walk to the park and less than that for a walk to the pool. Host was very responsive to messages. We would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was wonderful and the property had everything we needed. We especially loved being able to bring our dogs. The teens in our group loved the bonus room in the garage, but my favorite spot was the large and comfortable front porch. We will definitely be back!

We loved this rental for our family of four. The kids enjoyed the bonus/rec room in the garage. It’s clean, nicely updated and well stocked with dishes, utensils. Great porch swing and steps from the pool.

Lakeside is a beautiful community and this place made it all the better. Great little cottage with plenty of space for the kids to play and very accessible to all the surrounding businesses.

Only positives to say about the property and manager communications! Excellent location, clean and lovely house. The patio area is great, plenty of parking and location was perfect for us. The communication from the property manager was excellent. We will definitely stay here again. Well done!
