About this apartment rental
Anchor View is a new penthouse apartment at the luxury Grand Banks development, offering stunning sea and estuary views out towards Shaldon and across the Teign estuary. This magnificent apartment provides the perfect base to explore Teignmouth from and is close to the main and river beaches. Located on the 4th floor this luxury 2-bedroom apartment has a spacious open plan lounge / kitchen diner and private parking for 2 vehicles. Secure gated entry, elevator and EV car charging point.
The Space
This newly built apartment has two double bedrooms - one with king-size double bed and en suite shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC, and the other with twin beds.
Both bedrooms have wardrobes, two bedside cabinets with bedside lamps and dressing tables with chairs. There is also a king-size sofa bed in the spacious living room. The family bathroom has a large P-shaped bath with overhead shower, large basin and WC.
The living area is open plan with dining, plenty of seating, 65" smart TV and a fully equipped kitchen with integrated fridge/freezer, oven, induction hob, microwave, wine cooler, dishwasher and washing machine/tumble drier. The apartment has underfloor heating throughout.
Large bi-fold doors open out on to the balcony which is 7.1 metres wide and has plenty of comfortable outside seating from which the fabulous views can be enjoyed.
Guest Access
- From the underground car park the property is accessible via 3 flights of stairs or an elevator.
- From the street there is a ramped path leading to the ground floor entrance which then leads to the main stairs and elevator.
Neighbourhood Description
Teignmouth and nearby Shaldon offer a range of local amenities including pubs, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. The larger towns of Torquay & Newton Abbot are approximately 9 miles away or a 15 minute drive. The main railway line in Teignmouth is just a 10 minute walk from Grand Banks and the M5 to Exeter is also within 15 minutes reach.
With all this on your doorstep, the opportunities for a luxurious, relaxed, outdoor lifestyle are limitless.
Grand Banks is located next to a west coast railway line so there is some noise from the trains during the day but the trains don’t run overnight. For stream train enthusiasts this is a great location for watching the Devon’s steam trains that regularly pass through Teignmouth during the spring and summer seasons.
Teignmouth sits at the mouth of the River Teign and has two beaches, the Main Beach, which is perfect for swimming and sunbathing, as well as the characterful River or Back Beach which is bustling with fishing boats, water sports, bars, pubs and restaurants offering fresh seafood or fish and chips. It is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the fantastic views of the estuary and the fabulous sunsets.
Teignmouth has good rail connections to London, Birmingham and Manchester. A traditional seaside town with its Georgian architecture, Victorian Pier, Promenade, Lido, Bowls, Skate Park and award-winning Children's Play Park and Crazy Golf. The Pavilions has regular theatre and cinema performances as well as Comedy Club, Dance and Children's activities.
There are regular music festivals throughout the year, including jazz and folk music and there is an array of small independent shops and the Arts Quarter with a range of art galleries, artisan and craft shops. Relax with a coffee, enjoy breakfast or lunch in one of the many bistros and dine in one of the superb restaurants, many of which offer local, seasonal produce. There are also many takeaway venues.

This consists of 2 toilet rolls, washing up liquid, 2 dishwasher tablets, a washing up cloth, sponge & tea towel and tea, coffee & milk sachets. Cupboard staples and any other extras are not as standard therefore we recommend ensuring you have your own supplies of anything else required.
