Don’t rent this scary place.

We received a cold welcome. The place was smelly and the batroom was rusted

I didn’t like almost everthing but the worst was the rud manager insulted us and given a very bad service. He scare us. We stay only one night and leaft early in the morning

Great place to stay in El Zonte! Totally recommend as a solo travelor, couple, friends, or family.

Had a blast staying at Lote 44 in El Zonte. The property was clean, quiet, and obviously well taken care of by the owner Dan and his staff. The owner Dan was extremely accommodating and would share his well-earned knowledge of the area, which as a surfer was much appreciated. He was also there to lend a hand in case anything came up (like a surprise ear infection). The shared common area was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies, and provided the opportunity to socialize with other guests. Mango trees are scattered around the property and drop fruit on the daily. The staff was very friendly and totally willing to help you practice your spanish. Also - you can see the break from the high point of Dan's house (and you can also walk there in less than 5 minutes). At least a dozen beach breaks and right hand points within 30 minutes of the property.

Storm came through and mucked up the surf for a few days (kidding).

A beautiful place

Everything was good and clean, I had the small room which was good because it wasn't too hot and the pool is great. A big thank you to Elisabeth for her kindness and advice. I'd be delighted to come back here again.

AMAZING GEM 💎 IN EL ZONTE !!

Walking distance from everything (restaurants, littles stores,beach, skate park…) AND located in a quiet area of El Zonte so it is the perfect combo! Our host was wonderful, shared lots of local tips & helped us feel like home. Really peaceful vibes. We loved playing dominoes by the swimming pool with the bar :) Outdoor shower is great !! There are hammocks surrounded by trees and plants. Everything is made for you to feel comfortable, rested & grounded. We stayed a week in the apartment with kitchen. Lots of breezy air , big patio. Awesome massage studio right across the street. Highly recommended!

Spent a lovely week at Lote. Liz is super friendly, easy to communicate with, and helpful with anything you might need.

Great location, tucked away but still super close to everything with less noise. Pool with swim yo bar is essential to survive the el Salvadorian heat.

A beautiful tranquil property in a great location with outstanding hospitality

We loved the tranquility and beauty of this guesthouse. The rooms were perfect, the pool refreshing, the staff super nice and helpful. My family did not want to leave. The location was also perfect! Elisabeth was a wonderful host, and super responsive and helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Perfect for a longer stay

Amazing, the penthouse was extremely comfortable, beautiful and private. It has all the comfort you need with AC and even a smart tv for when you wanna hide from the heat. Elizabeth made us feel at home and was always happy to help, give tips about food and transports. The kitchen is very well equipped, with good knifes, blender, juice extractor, food boxes etc. everything you need and sometimes don’t find in a hostel, you find it at Lote. I highly recommend.

Lovely place, very welcoming and relaxing.

It felt like coming home. very friendly vibes from everyone there. the pool was great, in general a beautiful place in this lovely town. thanks to Elisabeth for being such a warm and open hearted host. we are looking forward to coming back one day!

Charlotte was a very helpful host who was able to arrange anything we needed. The room was big with a huge outdoor space. It was great having to have your own kitchen. The is a just a netting covering some of the windows, so you can hear the lively jungle at night. The space is safe and secure.

Superb

The kitchen is well equipped with blenders and all sorts, and very clean considering it is outside. The grounds and pool are cleaned regularly and there is a nice relaxed vibe. Communication is great, and response time on whatsapp is very fast, Elisabeth was very accommodating and helped to move people around so we could stay an extra day, which was very kind considering we gave little warning. Furthermore, Elisabeth spent time helping us plan the rest of our trip with her knowledge of Nicaragua which was very helpful. The private room is just ok, the fan worked well. The poolside shower was a nice experience and better pressure than many other places that we've stayed, though was cold.

The door to our room didn't seem to lock from the inside. However, there is a big locked entrance gate and we felt safe enough to not ask if there was a trick to our door as it locked from the outside - maybe it was an easy fix. Bring mosquito spray and sun cream is expensive in the local area. It wasn't clear without reading reviews the only shower available was unsheltered outdoors

The swimming pool and the use of a kitchen. The host who was there at the time was great.

The beds were very hard and we found this to be quite uncomfortable. The bathroom for our room was quite dirty and badly maintained. We had to be careful with the water as they use a well and it was quite empty, although it wasn’t a problem for 2-3 nights, I would have struggled with this had we stayed for longer, as I like my showers to be longer (others may not mind, like my partner)

Pool and communal spaces are lovely and relaxing. The owner was away during our visit but she was great at communicating and very supportive. Good WiFi, great location.

We had the small bedroom with shared bathroom, ultimately we felt this was overpriced for several reasons. The room itself was fine, although the doors felt a bit insecure. The door to the shared bathroom is broken / very difficult to close, so you are lacking privacy. The kitchen was not very well equipped. Unfortunately both the shared kitchen and toilet were unclean, though this is perhaps more a reflection on the other guests as we all have a responsibility to keep communal spaces pleasant for each other.

The place has been very comfortable as well as the facilities have provided many things to make less luggage and to have everything in one place all for the price you pay you can take a group of people to have a great time always respecting the rules and the other guests, communication has been amazing very friendly and attentive to any situation I would definitely rent this place again and recommend it to my friends.

I was pleasantly surprised with how at home I felt here and will be definitely returning!

I loved how quiet and serene Lotte 44 was. The decorations were beautiful and the whole place had nice homey, tropical vibes. I also loved the private room which stayed cool and quiet.

Amazing place, would have loved to stay longer. Most comfortable hammocks ever, great host who let us use the place many hours after check-out time.
