Bambu ist ein Restaurant auf einem Felsen in der Bucht haad Yuan welches auch Hütten vermietet. Die Lage ist gleichwohl wie die Küche, hervorragend. Unser Lieblingsort in Thailand. Wir waren das 2. mal dort und werden wieder kommen.
Auf die Lichter/ Ketten/ Vorhänge/ Beleuchtung könnte man unserer Meinung nach verzichten.

I love this place in general, the location, the three beaches - Haad Yuan, Haad Tien & Why Nam. The Bambu Huts bungalows are beautiful in their own raw, simple jungle style, full of geckos and cockroaches the way I would expect in themiddle of nature.
I have been here several times and in general, the staff have been very sweet and friendly. Unfortunately, this time, some things were quite off-putting.
When we arrived at 8 in the evening after a 12 hour journey, nobody was there to check us in and the restaurant staff were too stressed to spend two minutes explaining to us what was going on. So we were left to wait in confusion for about an hour before a friendly person told us that our hut had not been cleaned yet so we had to wait for another hour. They didn’t do anything to make us comfortable while waiting, didn’t compensate us with a drink or anything else.
In the hut we found only one blanket and asked for a second one, then they brought us a thin matress instead, that one of us then had to use as a duvet.
The shower was either ice cold or burning hot and had so little pressure that it was not possible to wash the hair.
I am used to simple jungle hut accommodation, but for the price, this was quite low standard.

- A great experience staying in the jungle among the wildlife, the huts are basic but that’s to be expected.
- food and drinks at the restaurant are great
- the huts are dark and the curtains are old. Bathroom was dirty
- getting to/from the property is a nightmare when the boats aren’t running. We spent more on 4x4 taxis than the price of the room. Had to cut our stay short as we had an early morning ferry and couldn’t trust the taxis.

It's very pretty and the bay is amazing. The view from the restaurant is fantastic. With the bridge to access over the rocks, you will feel like a pirate.
The location. Too remote. Nearly impossible to reach. First to come you have to wait 8 people to do the same. It can last hours. Second : I was drop 2 bays further and had to walk in the jungle 20 mn in the heat and it's steep.
Everywhere else in Thailand you have long tail boats immediately with cheap peices. Not in Koh Phangan. It's completely disorganized. Not the fault of the hotel but keep that in mind. Once you are there you never know if you ll be able to leave, and when...

You will never stay some where so absolutely stunning in your life. There is a mad party vibe at the weekend but during the week its so beautiful, calm and tranquil. The common areas overlook the sea rolling as monkeys play in the trees. The view of the rainforest backing the beach was just so gorgeous. I spent all day on the terrace just staring at it!
The restaurant serves excellent food and the interior is so well designed and lovely. The staff work endlessly. I really hope they are paid well. The service is truly great and nothing is too much trouble. The foh and boh deserve a lot of praise. I can’t even imagine the logistics of how that place runs as the location is so remote. I wish they would create a picture book of the story of the place and how it came to be. Could be a cool feature to have in the restaurant as its a fascinating property- I’m sure it has a pretty interesting history.
We had such an amazing time and would recommend coming here no matter what! However there are a few things to be aware of. The bambu huts are very very rustic. I.e gapping in the floorboards, no air con, old fan, bathrooms are a shower head over the toilet. We had a few large tokay geckos in our bathroom who were taking care of business i.e mosquitos so we loved them! In a double room you are cramped if there are two of you and the mosquito net could do with being replaced. It had been mended in places but had holes and was a bit worse for wear. You’ll never want to be in your room anyway!
Don’t take too much luggage on the boat over, it can be stressful trying to get stuff on and off. Beware of bringing anything that could get water damaged! We learnt the hard way! Not anyones fault but our own! The boats are also a little rustic and take some skill getting in and out of. The actual beach the day after the party was covered in rubbish- bambu have a super cool instagram presence so maybe they could use their marketing to convince people to help clean the beach. We tried a little whilst we were there but there were not bins down there.

Super netter Inhaber, geile Partys.
Die Hütten sollten etwas geupgradet werden.

It is simple and the price is fair. The white sheets are very nice. And the fact that there is a mosquito net is very thoughtful. Nice staff. Best view.
The bathroom could be more equipped.
The mosquito net was torn.
I have visited 10 years ago and the restaurant became too expensive for the portions that are given and compared with what it used to give. It had very generous portions and was more vivid vibes. The restaurant used to have simple sitting options on the floor where people could just hang out and lie down inside the restaurant. It had a special isolated table with a view to the beach and it is now gone.

Location is amazing Very helpful staff Great communication on booking which was very helpful. Be prepared for very basic huts but that there is electricity was a nice surprise. Great place to get away into more of the natural environment.
Coffee was pretty average as was the one meal that we had. We were a bit perturbed learning that apparently there is a party every weekend from Saturday to Sunday night, with very loud music.

An amazing location situated on the side of the beach in the jungle. A fantastic restaurant area and a real buzz watching monkeys jumping through the trees whilst eating breakfast. We wanted to come over the weekend to party but were too late booking. I imagine that's an incredible experience. Very affordable.
This was too rustic for us ( mainly me to be honest) I was bitten by a lot of large ants at the beginning of the trip and this made me feel jumpy about everything. In the morning we woke my kids and there was an enormous lizard above their bed (not a gecko) they were amazed by this and were really not put off but to write an honest review I have to say it just was a little out of my comfort zone. I couldn't sleep at all tbh

It's an amazing place! Just be aware party on a weekend. But during the week amazing place to go and chill.
The staff is wonderful and understanding. As we didn't about the weekend party and didn't want to stay they give us a refund. It was really nice of them.
Good food and beautiful restaurants and view.
Love the music !
We had a short budget and wasn't aware that there was no access by motorbike. We had to take the taxi boat for 300baht/person/trajet each time we want to do something

The huts are well maintained, practically have your own private beach, gorgeous location for those looking for peace and tranquility. Restaurant food is pretty good and really stunning looking out over the beach.
Staff were a little disorganised regarding check in/check outs. Many of the huts are actually not beachfront and further inland/jungle. There is no alternative to arrive other than water taxi which can be quite pricey

Clean room, comfy bed, lovely Cottage right inside the jungle with one of the coolest full day house music playing weekend, nice crowd, tasty food in restaurant. wow! such a weekend package.
The faucet in the bathroom doesn’t work. The sink height is super high (I m 180 ) and the electric plug could be next to the bed.

Bambu huts is just this magical place where jungle meets the ocean. It's the perfect getaway on Koh Phangan. I always book a hut when we want to go party at Eden and Bambu huts in the weekend. If you're looking for a quiet place, don't go there on Sunday, but on another day in the week. It's a simple, but clean and comfy hut with a amazing balcony with hammock. The surrounding is just perfect. Chilling in your hammock between the sounds of the jungle and beautiful trees. And from the restaurant you have amazing views over the bay. This is just paradise. If you're into dancing, this is the place to be on a Sunday. Dancing on the rocks with the best DJ's and views. You won't find this anywhere else. Tip: go there hiking from Haad Rin and take the boat back after your stay. You'll find an amazing viewpoint during the 1,5 hour hike through the jungle (2 hours if you take a break at the viewpoint). This is my magical place on the island, you gotta love it!

Great food and atmosphere at the bamboo restaurant. Really helpful and attentive staff. Huts are basic but clean and well maintained. Great location just off the beautiful sandy beach.
The huts are basic and ok for short stay (which we knew from before) however few things could be uplifted to make the stay comfortable for longer stay (not much space to unpack, basin in the bathroom practically not possible to use - small and mounted really high, water pressure almost none - used shower only ;))

Location and information was spot on if you are looking for piece and tranquility.
The atmosphere in the restaurant/ bar was fabulous.
Staff and food fantastic, good value for money.
People very friendly and the bad was exceptional.
The journey by boat from Queen ferry was terrible, we were ripped off, should have walked to Haadrin beach for water taxi.
We arrived at 19.30 and the room wasn't ready and had to wait 1 hour. After a long day, travelling the wait wasn't welcome. Hopefully, this was just a one off.
be warned and the fans were not up to the job off keeping us cool during the evening

grateful for the free taxi to anywhere but the resort, Sairee beach or the pier.
booked this property not knowing it was completely in the middle of no where & so hilly you can’t even take a walk from the resort. stayed in a garden bungalow which is extremely dated, the WiFi is pretty much no existent & the room was full of wasps from the nest outside, huge ants, small bugs that go into food & drink & the beach which we chose for snorkelling was absolutely disgusting full of rubbish & huge amounts of rubbish in the sea so certainly wouldn’t snorkel in it.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. The Bungalows are very cozy and you have the feeling you are in the middle of the jungle. Best beach on the island and next to three other beautiful beaches. Of course, there is also Eden Bar (few steps aways) and the Lost Paradise party.
A big thank you to Steve and his lovely girlfriend and to all the staff at Bambu Huts!:)
We can‘t wait to come again! See you very soon!;)

The best part of the stay is the restaurant and common area with its amazing view and really delicious food. The access to the beaches which are less crowded of course is also nice.
There is a path from haad rin to this location. So if you have less luggage you can walk for 2h instead of the taxi boat.
The huts as such are located more in the jungle which is quite nice.
Our hut was no longer in good condition. The bathroom was really poorly maintained. There were no clean blankets and towels left, so we missed a them the first night, which we got the next day.
In general we have seen much better maintained cabins than this one. And the best parts are the restaurant/ common area/ beaches.

The view and location were spectacular. Great food, the huts were nice and it’s an absolutely stunning place to stay at. One thing to know is that it is only accessible by boat taxi, which can be an intense trip if the weather isn’t the best. we were lucky when arriving, but when leaving it was a stormy day and the boats wouldn’t go out the entire day. We had to go by car through the jungle (it is possible to go by car but it’s an incredibly steep drive) which is a real adventure and maybe not suitable for everybody.
Also not ideal if you’re carrying a suitcase. It’s best to have a backpack

I liked the bangalows that are in the jungle and the amazing view of the restaurant!
I didn't like the staff. I arrived without a reservation and when i asked the staff to spend a night there they told me that there is any available bangalow. After that i checked in booking page and there were 3 more available bangalows. I told them that i see on booking available bangalows and they were still saying me that no. At the same time i made a reservation on booking and they told me ok now you can get a bangalow. I really didn't like their behavior.....

The staff was amazing, the location is great if you don't mind taking the taxi boat. It's perfect to relax in the quite beach nearby. If you don't want to take a boat, every Saturday there is a party in the club next door.
They don't have hot water

This was an amazing little find just outside of Haad Rin. You need to get a taxi boat to access the accommodation but it is a little hidden paradise! If you want to stay in the jungle this is the place to stay.
