We enjoyed our stay at this home. It was very clean and well equipped. The location is great as it is down the street from the beach and close to shopping. This is a great lodging alternative for anyone attending an event at Waters Edge Resort.

First of all, our host was really amazing... from pre-trip questions to information upon arriving to a few questions while we were in the home.
The house was perfect. Really clean and updated. It made us all feel really comfortable and relaxed. Well appointed from bedrooms to all of what we needed in the kitchen.
Loved that we could walk to the sweet and private beach.
And I fell in love with this part of Connecticut. Westbrook, yes. But also Madison, Old Saybrook and Essex.
Would love to come back and stay longer. Really a great spot for a gathering with my two adult daughters!

We were in for 5 nights and had a great few days in town meeting with family and friends. We spent time at the association beach’s NS local beaches were easy to access.
During our stay we had some questions and Hearher was quick to respond. Overall a great stay.

Enjoyed our stay while in town for a wedding at the Waters Edge. Location was perfect, house fully equipped, beds comfortable and cottage was sparkling clean. Nice easy walk to private beach. Close to shopping. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Heather is a great host. The place is beautiful and the beachfront just a walk away did not disappoint. We loved our stay there!

Our group of four friends in our 50s loved our stay here. Heather was a responsive, welcoming, flexible host who left us a card, bottle of wine and a prepped wood pile in the fire pit. The decor was tasteful and beautiful, clean and modern. The mattresses were firm, which we liked. We made use of the comfortable couch on the deck as well as the gas fireplace in the living room. The location is lovely and we had a short, 5-minute walk to the beach. Birders would enjoy the tremendous diversity of birds in the trees and area. The kitchen was fully stocked, grocery store was a 5-minute drive and there are great restaurants in the area. The driveway easily fit our four SUV vehicles. Highly recommend this property!

This was a great property for my mom, sister, and I during our visit to the Westbrook area. Host was attentive and communicated via email often. She even gave some ideas for restaurants in the area. Beds were comfortable and we liked there were night lights in pretty much every room. The gas fireplace made the room very cozy on a couple of chilly nights. Kitchen was well stocked and met our needs for our long weekend. Would defiantly stay again if in the area.

My spouse and I needed to get away from the monotony of our day to day. This was exactly what we needed. The host was responsive and attentive; 5 stars all around. My only feedback would be that they went a little too crazy with the throw pillows at Home Goods. :P

A lovely little cottage with all of the modern amenities, set in an equally lovely neighborhood. It is a short walk to a very small private beach which unfortunately, we didn't have the time to take advantage of. Our stay was short but sweet!

We had a great time! The property with so clean! The kids absolutely loved the basement. The fact there were games down there was a huge plus. And the gorgeous beach was just a short walk away. Thank you, Heather!!

Our family of five enjoyed a long weekend here, while in town for a wedding at Water’s Edge. We loved the peace and quiet and short walk to the ocean. The beds and bedding were super comfortable. Our son especially enjoyed the basketball game in the basement. Paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, laundry soap and hand soap was the most generous at any vrbo we have ever stayed at. We just needed to buy shower soap and shampoo. If in the area, we would definitely stay here again (and eat at Bill’s Seafood every day). :) Thank you for sharing this great property with our family.

We were here my birthday weekend, and could not have been happier. The house was spotless, and the VRBO description was spot on...just a short walk to a sweet little beach, and the house itself enjoyed delightful ocean breezes. The yard was enclosed, so kids can't escape; the kitchen had everything we needed; not having to supply our own linens was such a treat! Heather, the owner, was very responsive all the way through, and is one of the most gracious hosts I've encountered! We have purchased a place nearby, but will definitely plan to rent this "beach nest" when we have overflow visitors!

We had a fabulous week at the CT shore! The weather was in the 70’s and sunny, with a variety of beach options to choose from.
We started at the local beach (right down the road from the house). Quaint community, calm and refreshing water. Would highly recommend water shoes, lots of rocks and it is slippery upon entry and exiting!
We joined friends locally in Niantic and boated on the bay. Found a nice inlet on the river and swam and watched folks cliff dive.
We also spent time at Hammonasset Beach State Park. Clean, beautiful, and only 15 minutes from the house. A good place to pack a lunch and soak in the sand and view.
Outside of beaching, we used the backyard to play Ax throwing, corn hole, and appreciate the fire pit. The deck was also comfortable and included an overhang to cool things off. The community was easily walkable for exercise.
Food selections were diverse. The ice cream at Lenny and Joe’s was very impressive. As were the selections at Clinton from a shopping perspective.
We even divided and conquered while playing Mini Golf at Saybrook Point Inn and enjoying massage sessions at Waters Edge!
Heather was a fantastic host, always checking in to see if we needed anything. Her house is beautiful and very well maintained. Lots of extras (beach chairs, corn hole set)!
P.S. The basketball game downstairs was a fantastic bonus!

We are just arriving home from a wonderful week spent on Old Salt Works Road. The house was just want we always look for in a rental- sparkling clean, very comfortable, and so welcoming. The back deck was relaxing and neighborhood is quiet and close to many beaches and delicious restaurants. We had a fabulous stress free week!!

We stayed for 4 days and it was the perfect house for our family of 4! Extremely homey and cozy. Very clean with everything we needed for our stay. The outdoor shower was key after walking back from the beach with littles to clean off before going inside. Close to all the popular spots and beaches but in a quiet neighborhood. We will definitely stay again!!

We had a wonderful stay! House was clean and well decorated. Loved all the natural light. Bedrooms were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. We were on the move so didn’t use the outdoor space a lot, but it was really nice. Husband and son loved the mini basketball hoop in the basement. Fun perk we didn’t know was there! Location was very convenient. Short walk to the neighborhood beach and short drive to restaurants, shops and other things to do. If you are traveling with more than one pack n play, the non-master bedrooms are a little tight. If not, bedroom size is not an issue. Host was very communicative and quick to respond to questions. Thanks for a great stay!

My husband, college freshman daughter and I really enjoyed our stay in Westbrook. The house is both charming and pristinely clean from the top floor down to the shockingly welcoming basement space where the washer and dryer is. The furniture and beds are comfortable and the decor is really cute with a beach theme. I had no problem finding everything I needed to cook multiple meals while we were there. Since the weather was gorgeous, we were able to take advantage of the fire pit and lovely deck space as well as enjoying the short walk down to the private neighborhood beach. It was a great weekend for our daughter to get a break from university life in the city and enjoy some family time and home cooking. We took advantage of the local movie theatre and shopping and especially enjoyed the town center in Old Saybrook including some great Italian food at Pizzaworks next to the Saybrook Station.
