Erweiterung mit Neubau und Spa hervorragend gelungen.

BergSpa mit Pool einzigartig, Beletage und Servicepersonal schaffen ein wunderbares Erlebnis.

Der Tisch im Zimmer wirkte leider schon etwas ‚abgewohnt.‘, fiel im Unterschied zum sonst feinen Ambiente leider auf. Das kann man aber ändern.

Excellent hotel in an excellent location!

The location is amazing - the views are so picturesque! The staff are very nice and friendly, and even helped us fix the wheelchair when my wheel fell off! They give you good advice on what to see in the area and coupons. From Traunkirchen you can easily reach all other lakes (if you want to). The new spa on the top floor is luxurious and breathtaking. Breakfast is very good! Coffee is great. Loved that you can install apps on the TV, so I could watch a live TV channel from home and watch the news. So cool! Fast Wi-Fi.

There is no AC in the room. They said they have something that cools down the walls, but we just didn't feel anything, and it was really hot (30+ degrees Celsius). The room with the view is set in a way that you can watch the view on the lake from the bed. However it leaves less space in the room, which was a bit less comfortable for me with a wheelchair. I was missing some salads for breakfast and I wished that the guy who prepares the eggs would speak English, as I just couldn't explain anything to him.

Beautiful hotel

Beautiful, spacious room with breathtaking lake view. Very good breakfasts with variety of choice. Dinners in the restaurant on the first flor where one of the best which we ever had in any of hotels, great wines. Amazing, brand new spa. Very clean room and hotel. Coffe machine in room is a big plus.

The bigest minus for very small parking. Lack of free of charge water in the room. Mini bar in the room without any price list. SPA opend from 4pm.

Schöne Zimmer und sehr gute Küche

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und trotzdem sind die Zimmer (wir hatten seitlichen Seeblick) ruhig. Das Restaurant bietet eine sehr gute Küche (großer Gastgarten direkt vor dem Hotel) und das Service ist aufmerksam. Das Frühstück in der Beletage ist sehr ausführlich. Zum Baden kann man die Liegewiese von „Das Traunsee“ mitbenutzen. Die teilweise überdachte und bepflanzte Terrasse macht das Wohnen sehr gemütlich.

Die Parkplatzsituation ist schwierig. Man hätte einen Parkplatz reservieren können, aber diese Information haben wir vorab nicht bekommen.

A very nice experience in an outstanding location

We had a very nice experience in the Post am See. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is renovated with very good taste and the breakfast is simply exceptional! The room was comfy and the size was enough for spending a weekend there, even though the bed was way too soft for us. Trankirchen is a charming small village next to Traunsee, so it was a delight to wake up in the morning with lake views.

Disappointing

Im happy we stayed here only one night. The stuff was kind of rude, completing their tasks mechanically without any warmth. There was a party happening in the hotel, and then music was so loud, that we couldn't sleep. After spending the entire day on the road we were really looking forward to a restful sleep, which was impossible under the circumstances. Our room and balcony overlooked a construction site instead of the promised mountain view.

A disappointment!

The hotel is under construction. They are building another part. The construction started early in the morning through all day. They were digging with a pneumatic hammer!!! Can you imagine to be awakened like this in your vacation?! We made the reservation in March and no one informed us about this constructions. Certainly we would have canceling the reservation. We are very disappointed and looking for a fair compensation. they gave us 10 € discount 😡for the 2 nights - this is outrageous and embarrassing.

Overall a relaxing experience near the lake

We had initially post am see booked, but as they were on renovations, we were lucky enough to stay at their partner hotel Das Traunsee. The hotel is nicely located near the lake, and we had a direct deck with balcony and lake view. The breakfast was of very good quality. staff very friendly. We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant, where we enjoyed a chef’s menu and wine tasting for each dish. We tried also the restaurant of Post am See, which had a larger menu, and very good options as well. We opted also to use the park at the hotel, which was very convenient.

Even though our room was an upgrade, we felt some aspects could have been improved: the mini bar was not working, the Hotel could benefit also from some renovations, and when going to the Spa, there was always a strong food smell from the kitchen as it was just nearby. Also, would it be a nice touch to find other option to store the cleaning items (as they were located in the corridor, only partially covered).

Bathroom was a bit old fashioned. There was a bathtub which is not visible anymore in this kind of hotels. Unfortunately there were big scratches in it. Nothing really serious. No reserved parking space.

Amazing place in beautiful location, we liked it so much we extended our stay.

spacious and clean rooms rich breakfast with on demand preparation of eggs (best omelettes we ever had) really friendly and helpful staff perfect for biking (scenic routes around all nearby lakes) and hiking (close-by Ebensee - Feuerkogel - lots of nice trails and views), generally there is lots of stuff to do (rent a boat, rent a bike, go swimming, ... ) food was fantastic (best place in area to get a dinner)

during the weekends, parking can get tricky (lots of cars)

Very good location,close to the lake.Breakfast was very varied and rich.Dinner was also very delicious (5 courses)

In the restaurant, a young waitress laughed and ridiculed us because we did not understand his German speech (she wore a mask).It was very repulsive and frustrating.Even the next day I was feeling bad.
