Ein uriges Hotel in der Mitte der Lindauer Altstadt

Ein sehr gutes Frühstück zu dem man aber nicht zu spät kommen sollte, weil sonst Sachen fehlen.

Das WLAN hat gar nicht funktioniert und die Betten haben stark gequietscht.

Für eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit gerade noch ausreichend (Preis-Leistung).

Als "reine" Übernachtung, geht das, sehr kleine, enge Zimmer. Für den Preis echt zu winzig oder Preis zu teuer :-) . Personal sehr nett, Frühstück dafür günstig und gut. Parkmöglichkeit auch vorhanden, aber begrenzt, vorher unbedingt anmelden.

Das Zimmer Nr.4 ist sehr eng, ca. 2 Meter breit und 4 Meter lang, mit Mobilar. Das kleine Bad geht gerade noch so.

Wunderschönes Wochenende in Lindau

Die Übernachtung in diesem altehrwürdigen, stilvoll renovierten Altstadthaus in einer stillen Gasse nur wenige Schritte vom wunderschönen Lindauer Hafen war schlicht ein Erlebnis.Top bequeme Betten, schön mit Farben eingerichtetes Zimmer, feines Frühstück in antikem Essaal, sehr nette Menschen. Alles top sauber.

Einfach alles bestens! Herzlichen Dank. Und b.t.w. Lindau ist eine Reise wert, mit z. B. Besuch einer Vorstellung in der Marionettenoper.

Zweckmäßiges Hotel in Top-Lage

Das Hotel ist direkt in der Fußgängerzone der Insel Lindau, von hier aus ist alles fußläufig erreichbar. Top Lage!

Das Hotel ist in einem alten Haus... die Deko oder die Ausstattung/Mobiliar ist entsprechend alt (aber zweckmäßig). Beim Frühstücksbuffet musste ich in die Küche gehen, um nach Kaffee zu fragen. Dort saßen die beiden Mitarbeiterinnen auf der Arbeitsfläche und hielten ein Schwätzchen.

Great location and fantastic price

The location is extremely central, on a small street sandwiched between the harbor and the main shopping street. The hotel itself is quite quirky in a very fun and interesting way. The shared shower is not exactly convenient, but I appreciated the cleverness of the design and it was actually one of the best showers I have had on my trip. The rooms have a sink, which is very practical. The bike room was also very well done and very useful.

It is an old buiding, which comes with some challenges. The floors slope to a rather absurd extent and the ceiling in the room was very, very low. If you are over 6 foot tall, your head will touch the ceiling. The room was also fairly loud, one could hear people coming and going both in the hallway and in the street below.

My Airbnb booking was cancelled, so Hotel Gasthof Inselgraben was one of a few options left. The personnel was nice, supportive and flexible regarding my needs. The breakfast was good. The room also exceeded my expectations. It was a perfect alternative available to my cancelled booking in Airbnb.

To charge phone or to charge powerbank?

Late check-in is possible. Even if you did not get a check in details, you can ring the buzzer and someone will come to you, but I guess you should at least let them know beforehand. The person at the reception (manager?) was really helpful - when I asked for a toothbrush when my sister lost hers during the trip, he gave us one and the quality is fairly good - when I asked if he could help me print a document, he said yes!

Only one socket in the room (and we had to unplug some thing in order to use this one) - I’m not sure to either charge my powerbank or to charge my phone or my sister’s phone Hairdryer is just there for a decoration - was so happy to see a hairdryer until I realized that I could not use it cause there was no socket nearby I can only see one shower room (I am not sure how many this is shared between) - but I would say it’s fairly clean Breakfast - be early or eat what’s left - they hardly refill the food; the one time I saw them refill (bread) was based on a request of one of guests who came down for breakfast late Details about late check-in is not clear - the direction we received says that we could check in late and there will be a pin code to receive our keys after filling up personal details and pay tourist tax but we never receive such information. Whenever I asked ‘how to pay tourist tax, if we are arriving late?’ it seems like the response is auto generated and it will tell me the same thing: late check in is possible, etc. However, when I called few hours before arriving the property to ask about our check in details, the guy was nice to request us to call him when we arrive and he did come to us when we rang the buzzer at around 9.30pm (train delayed).

Excellent location. Not so much clean :(

Location is excellent. Breakfast was also good. We could leave our backpacks in a room till the check-in and also after the check-out. Guest restrooms were also available.

The rooms were not very clean. There were spiders and spider nets everywhere. There was also hair on the bathroom walls where clean towels were hanging :( It seemed very much that there was no deep cleaning after each guest. It was also very noisy in our room. There seems to be a club in the same street. It felt like as if they were playing in our room. The music continues till midnight. Another point was that our room was separated from the next one by one door only. Therefore, we could here the neighbour guests and in my understanding, so could they hear us just the same.

Good value for money.

Location, friendly staff, extremely well-prepared breakfast. They took covid rules seriously. They gave us a card with benefits around the island. We used the card to get a boat ride cheaper and to take the shuttle for free. There wasn't one thing that was unclean, including the shared bathroom.

No A/C. Had to bring the room key to lock the external shared toilet behind myself. The public parking lot that was recommended to us was a 30 minute walk or a 20 minute walk/shuttle bus ride away. The staircase was tight. No elevator. No plugs by the bed.

Very enjoyable 2 nights stay in an old, quirky but clean hotel offering excellent value.

Location in excellent position, just a short walk from the harbour and railway station. Breakfast was very good, excellent buffet continental style. Small room as expected but very clean and well furnished, excellent value for the price. Friendly staff.

Wi-Fi was a bit temperamental.

The breakfast included is great with a lot of options for all diets. The people at reception are very friendly and helpful. Public transportation tickets are included in the stay.

Hotel is on the great location within the city and the lake. Breakfast was great.

There is no parking, and there is no bathroom inside your room and you have to use common bathroom with other guests, which is somehow incredible in 2022. If you want a place to sleep for a night while staying in this beautiful city it's OK. For more than 1 night - I have to say you don't want to stay here simply because there are no bathrooms. If there were bathrooms it would be a great place worthy of 9-9,5/10.
