Aceptable para solo una noche y con cama incómoda

La cama tenía mosquetero y la habitación tenía aire acondicionado, pero no se regulaba bien. Nos dejaron un cepillo de dientes con pasta. Creo que es lo único que podemos destacar como positivo.

La cama era muy dura e incómoda, el lugar solo tiene agua salada, aunque dejan un jarro con agua dulce para lavarse los dientes. No pudimos desayunar porque comenzaba a las 8 am el servicio y tuvimos que salir 7:45. El baño estaba un poco sucio, en la noche había ruido de música y un alemán entró a nuestro bungalow en la madrugada por error 🙄🫠😂 La piscina tiene agua extremadamente caliente, no refresca nada y también es salada. Nos dieron un jugo de bienvenida pero parecía procesado con demasiada azúcar y no natural como en todos los otros lugares. No recomendamos tampoco esta zona de Gili Air, no hay playa realmente y es muy ruidosa.

10/10 the BEST place to stay on Gili Air! The accommodation is traditional bungalows right on the beach with a nice swimming pool, good breakfast and amazing staff who treat you like family! You can snorkel with turtles right outside the hotel! But please DONT TOUCH TURTLES! I saw a lot of tourists trying to touch them/ chase them and if you do some research/ speak to the locals they are a very endangered species and touching them puts you and them at risk! Overall, would absolutely stay here again! Excellent location with everything you need nearby! Absolute paradise!

The location was amazing beautiful sunrises and a short walk up the beach to see the sunsets. Snorkeling was incredible with turtles of all sizes and fish everywhere. All the staff were so Fantastic especially Jakar, Jan, Iman, osram, rooms were beautiful and cleaned to perfection everyday.

Perfect for relaxing

Great location just in front of the beach, quite area and not far from bars and restaurants, Good to watch the sunrise and do snorkelling.

An enjoyable stay overall.

The location was great - quiet and a wonderful place for turtle spotting.

Our room was not very clean. This was a big reason for my below par review. Room was also quite shabby in general and neglected. All rooms seemed the same standard.

Located on a quiet beach on the north/eaat side. Turtle point just in front of the resort. The personal of the hotel are very kind and helpfull 🩷 Gili Air is good organised and clean.

Not what I expected

The AC worked well in the room. The pool looked nice (I did not go in). The WiFi worked well in the restaurant, just ok in the room. The mattress is comfortable. The grounds are nicely kept. The beach is not great for swimming, but if you want to go snorkeling apparently a good area for turtles. I ordered a salad for lunch, it was ok, nothing to write home about. So I can't comment too much on the food.

I did not stay even one night. I was underprepared for the state of the outdoor bathrooms. There were 8 dead cockroaches on the bathroom floor, another in my room, spiders in the bathroom, geckos on the bedroom ceiling. The toilet seat was covered in mildew. The sheets, towels, and mosquito net were stained (but laundered). I understand it was rainy that day so sometimes the critters come out, but I was ill-prepared for such rustic accommodations. I do not want to fault the hotel because the guys at the front were very kind and helpful, but just be aware that with these types of bungalows and the price point, you will be in a rustic setting. If that is what you're looking for, you'll be happy staying here! I met a few people that really like the place. Their speaker was broken so there was not music or a vibe in the restaurant.

amazing staff, a perfect stay

it’s my second time there. the staff are simply great people and they make you feel welcome straight away. the little cats roaming around and the care they have for them is lovely. The room is as described and the pillows were the best I’ve ever slept on! the shower is not warm but a cool (not cold at all) shower is exactly what’s needed after the heat. Simple, nice breakfast and a swimming pool that is so warm it’s soooo relaxing! the location is away from the loud areas and only a short walk from anything you need

Quiet and relaxing

The staff are amazing. Thank you Jan and Iyman. The weather was crazy so we had a challenging time but the staff made sure we were okay. Quieter side of the island.

We were suppose to have a fridge and didn’t because it was broken so check first. Our room was at the back so not good wifi but it didn’t matter. Wifi at the lounges at the front is good. The kitchen menu could also be improved. Good vegan cafe near by. Traveled with my older Dad who found the paths on that side more difficult to walk.

Poor quality

Staff was really nice and hospitable. Local food (gado gado, mie goreng, sate) was quite good.

The place needs some serious maintenance, it doesn’t matter were you look at there’s something broken. Upon arrival we realised that in our room there was no lights in the toilet and no water, also one of the table lamps was broken and the place was quite dirty; amenities are also very poor. We moved to a second bungalow and this one was looking more much nicer but still not okay. Both of the rooms had some strong humid smell and the pillows were stinky. Swimming pool was also quite dirty most of the time; and common spaces were also a bit abandoned. Breakfast is quite sad. There’s no hand towels in the complex.

Fabulous

Very friendly staff, nice location and was a good place for us to stay when we arrived on Gili Air. The room rated were very reasonable and they were very flexible with us staying with our children in a double room. Iman and rest of the staff was super nice 👍🏼

Bathroom’s was not very clean.

Location was great. Staff were fantastic and a nice pool and great sea entrance to go snorkelling.

The food could be much improved Rooms and buildings could do with a little upkeep Water in taps and shower was salty - no fresh water to wash in. More cushions needed on the outside benches

Fun and turtles at Sandy Beach

Staff were great could not do enough for us. Always interested in what we did for the day how many turtles we seen if we had been snorkeling etc.

Facilities were just a bit tied, but were still comfortable.

Nice Bungalows in a magic island

Magic place, next to the sea. The room is a true bungalow made of wood. Good air condition. Plus the fact that they rent bicycles and they arrange for you the snorkeling daytrips starting in front of the hotel.

I had booked a double room, meaning it was for two persons but unfortunately, I finally went alone. In my first morning I went to take my breakfast. The waiter was the receptionist who had served me in my check in in the hotel. I asked him to have breakfast for two people, as my room was double and I was already paying for two people (just to mention that breakfast was included in the price of my room). To my surprise, he informed me that this is not feasible, as I am only one person, even if I am paying a double room. Because I don't want to be unfair to other hotel employees, the next day I asked the same thing but to a different waiter. His name is Jan - a very good professional and a kind person. Ηe did inform me that I am entitled to breakfast for two people of course and he will serve me immediately. Another one thing to mention is that the breakfast is very poor and basic. The hotel should have its own transportation from the port, as it is in the other side of the island - 20 minutes walking.

the Bungalows are made as traditional constructions and they are very cool. the position is great, right facing the sea. Staff is so kind and always very welcoming.

The room was dirty which we didn't like. I had the feeling it had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. Also, we felt pretty sick after breakfast so perhaps be very careful.
