It was one of the most unique places I have ever visit. It is very peaceful and quite and the feeling is like you are in the middle of the forest. Our host Vicky was so nice and amazing.

Super friendly and helpfull staff. Beautiful place with lovely plunge pool, a nice deck and hammocks for relaxing. The rooms were nice and clean. We stayed for a full week and enjoyed it very much. The breakfast was good. Staying at the Cerrito Tropical Eco Lodge felt like being at home (away from home). I hope I'll get the chance to visit again one day!

Was a nice place to stay for our one night on the island. The hotel is located up a hill with beautiful views. Walking up that hill with luggage is quite hard but the hotel offers free pick up and drop off. Gorgeous outdoor area (hammock, dining). The beds were comfy and the room was clean. It was quiet. The staff is kind and welcoming. Clean and comfortable room. Very friendly and helpful staff, also the breakfast is very nice (8$).
The price is pretty high for the services offered. The prices were indeed very high on the entire island.
The water is not drinkable.
The pool is smaller than it looked in the pictures,

Vicki was very welcoming and made us a very tasty pizza!! The views from our balcony were awesome. We enjoyed the pool, sunset and the lights of the ships out in the gulf at night.

Beautiful view from the comfortable terrace. Clean and comfortable room. Very friendly and helpful staff, also the breakfast is very nice with home made buns.
I absolutely loved my stay at Cerrito! After I forgot some clothes at a laundry line, Vicky arranged to send them on the ferry the next day, thanks a lot!
Nothing negative to say about Cerrito and its team.

The hotel is located up a hill which guarantees gorgeous views. Walking up that hill is quite the workout but the hotel offers free pick up and drop off upon arrival and departure.
The walk up the hill is tedious but it's a great work out! Like I mentioned before, the fact that it's up a hill makes the view even more beautiful 😍

First, let me say Cynthia and her staff are lovely. Vicky is fabulous. She went above and beyond for us. We only stayed overnight, but she made sure it was memorable. Thank you Vicky.

The property is certainly one of the nicest on the island— all of which are no frills. The location cannot be beat! The photos are a great representation of the actual property, so there were no surprises. Outside of the gorgeous views and outdoor area (pool, hammock, dining), the staff is truly what sets this property apart from the others. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. I felt like I was visiting family!!! And you MUST have breakfast — best eggs and biscuits I have ever had!
Not a must have, but it would have been pleasant to have the air conditioner running upon arrival as it was a hot ferry ride and carrying our luggage up the hill. Again, I understand that this is an Eco Lodge, so just a personal preference.

Nice staff, amazing location and great facilities
The wifi was a bit slow, but this might be a problem on the whole island

Fantastic views. The plunge pool was a nice place to cool off. And the breakfast scones were delicious (particularly with the home-made pineapple jam)

Staff Manager, Vicky, was friendly and engaging.
The steep hill up to the Lodge. The walk up to the Lodge. The air conditioning didn't work.

We were greeted by our hostess Cynthia as we departed the ferry. After stopping for a beer she drove us to our accommodation. Our space had two rooms a kitchen/ sitting area and a bedroom with a bathroom. Rooms were smallish and basic but adequate. The A/C in the bedroom worked well. If you spend much time in Panama, you will find hot water to be scarce, and here is no different. The outside space was perfect for relaxing in a plunge pool and either sunning on the deck or hanging out in the shade in a hammock. We were treated warmly, and we felt appreciated. If you stay on Taboga, I can't imagine a better stay.
Everything you want on the island is walking distance but the lodge is on a hill that is a challenge to climb if you're pushing 70 like we are. We managed to catch Cynthia on some of her multiple daily runs to town and gladly hopped a ride up with her.

Wild dogs and cats ..all extremely friendly as well.. And now for the people, the beach and food....also absolutely amazing...such an amazing time...Thank you a Cerrito Tropical for such a wonderful experience 😀

Water was not potable and we had to buy our own. Good to know in advance.

The view from the pool and terrace is just beautiful. Even at night you can sit in the terrace to watch the sky, the sea and the city from afar. Loved the hammocks and that the hotel is surrounded with trees and nature. The room has a nice size, a fridge and pretty little details in the decoration. It's a 10 min walk from the dock through the town of Taboga, which is very clean and has pretty houses along the way. You have to go up a little hill but that's how you get the amazing view. Cynthia was an amazing host and waited for us at our arrival to give us a ride to the hotel. Great value for the price. We felt super comfortable, and relaxed here.
