We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of several days on Hervé's houseboat. The location was ideal - walking distance from the centre of Metz, but in a very quiet stretch of the canal, with clear clean water, greenery all round, and bird life. The houseboat is compact but well designed and equipped, and tastefully decorated. We were glad of the air-conditioning during the heat wave, but enjoyed sitting out on the deck for evening meals. Hervé is very friendly and helpful without being obtrusive! The provision of two bikes is a useful touch. Altogether very highly recommended!
