Welcome to our family-focused home. The chef's kitchen, dining room, and living room combine for one large open family area. The kitchen is fully equipped with maple cabinets, granite countertops, a huge granite dining center island, and a beautiful large mission style bench seat. There is a half bathroom off the kitchen.
The living room has a sofa and love seat, gas fireplace, and desk/chair. The dining room has a farm table that seats 8 and wrap-around windows and doors to two decks. One deck has a table that seats up to 8 and the other deck has a gas BBQ and chairs overlooking the pool.
The Den has a twin bed, sofa, and two beautiful barrel chairs. There is a TV with Chromecast and a DVD player with plenty of children's videos and games.
The large Main BR has a queen size bed, two closets, TV with Chromecast, and a private bathroom with double sink and walk-in tiled shower.
Upstairs has two huge BRs and a shared full bathroom with tub. One BR has a bunk bed plus a separate twin bed. The second BR has one queen and one single bed.
The house has window A/C throughout.
The basement has a ping pong table, two-player basketball arcade game, foosball table, nock hockey, TV area with a sofa, love seat, and exercise bike.
The front yard is set far back far from the road with open views of the large pond across the street in the winter (no access).
The private back yard has a fenced-in, up to 8' deep in-ground heated saltwater (no chlorine) pool and connected screened-in gazebo with furniture, radio, and ceiling fan. Ample pool furniture, 4-person dining table, patio umbrellas, and beach towels are provided.
The driveway leads to an outdoor asphalt parking area with a basketball hoop, as well as a large unattached garage for one car. In the garage, we offer some gym equipment (BowFlex), access to several bicycles and helmets, golf clubs, tennis rackets/balls, RipStiks/Waveboards, pogo stick, hula hoop, and other items.
There is hi-speed wifi throughout the house which can easily support work, gaming, and streaming movies (our family had five people working remotely at the same time during the pandemic). Utilities include hot water baseboard heat, gas appliances and fireplace, water softener, whole-house water filter, and instant-on hot water. Separate heating zones for each floor. The house has a burglar alarm system, smoke and carbon dioxide alarms, fire extinguisher, and security cameras (on the outside only). Wonderful home, fantastic pool, great place to relax and enjoy the company of friends or family. The house is perfectly stocked with all necessities. First VRBO rental that I can recall where we didn't have a single problem to deal with. Jay was super helpful and accommodating. A pleasure to deal with. Will definitely return. Highly recommended.

The Shiffs have a lovely home and it is as described in the listing. The pool was so nicely tended to -and the salt water great. We cooked a lot at the house -and they have everything you need plus. The area is kind of private but we met the next door neighbor and tried some of their delicious dumplings. I would definitely recommend and rent again if staying in this area.

We had a great stay with our family. Our son and his fiancee and our other son, his wife, and two children stayed with us for several days out of the week. The house was very comfortable for the 8 of us both inside and out. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked, although we ended up not doing much cooking. We have gone to Stockbridge every summer for at least 10 years, and this was the first time we stayed outside that area. Nevertheless, there was plenty to do near the house (hiking, restaurants) and it wasn't a long drive to Great Barrington and Lenox. We went to theater in Pittsfield one evening, and the trip was less than an hour. The hosts were very helpful in answering questions and suggesting restaurants. Also, as mentioned by other reviewers, the basement was well stocked with games such as ping pong, foos ball, knock hockey, and a basketball game. Our grandchildren spent most of their time in the swimming pool. We enjoyed having coffee each morning in the gazebo which provided shelter from bugs but the ability to be outdoors. It was a very enjoyable week and the house was everything we hoped for.

This house has everything you could want and more. I spent one week here, along with my husband and two young adult children. We thoroughly enjoyed the salt water pool and well appointed kitchen and game room in the basement. The house is ideally located between Great Barrington, MA and Hudson, NY. It is close to Catamount mountain which offers a fun aerial adventure park. There’s a brewery nearby called Roe Jan which I highly recommend. The hosts provided lots of useful information about the area and were very receptive to questions. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Close to Bash Bish Falls and Great Barrington. This home was perfect for a family gathering with many amenities and a large modern kitchen with center island seating.

It was a relaxing week to decompress. The owners were great in recommending activities for us to look at. We ended up going to a concert at Tanglewood for my birthday. Even though it rained alot during our stay we were able to use the pool on several days and enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas. Also enjoyed the games in the basement.

Our extended family (5 adults and 2 kids) spent a comfortable week at this spacious home. The saltwater pool was lovely and very private - a great treat on a warm summer afternoon or at the end of a busy day of fun in the Berkshires!

We had a lovely time in this home! It was exactly as described with tons of kitchen supplies, cozy beds, and beautiful fall foliage! The kids especially enjoyed playing basketball in the driveway (an unexpected plus!)

Had a great experience at this home in Copake, NY. With a heated pool and basement game room we didn’t even have to leave to entertain our two young kids (2 and 5). Plenty of room to spread out as well and a great location.

My husband and I and our 3 boys, ages 11, 14 and 17 spent a long weekend at Amy's house 2 weeks ago. The house is very comfortable, very clean, great kitchen, everything was perfect. Amy's instructions were easy to follow and she was very responsive. Great basement with games to keep the boys entertained. The area is lovely too, I recommend the Catamount Mountain Adventure park and Zip line.

Every summer we rent a house and I have to say this was by far the nicest. The owners truly thought of everything and nothing is missing -- they ever have towels for the pool so you don't have to bring your own. The pool itself was amazingly clean and the grounds were incredibly private. They even have bikes to use. It is located about 10 minutes from great hiking and less than 5 minutes from boating and waterskiing. The house has a game room and tons of toys if you have small children. Its really a great vacation spot for families. The house was spotless clean, the beds were very comfortable and the towels were plush. The owners were incredibly nice. We have nothing but good things to say about it and we really look forwrd to going back.

We loved our stay at your house. We did not do much sightseeing since we were there to rest and recuperate, three adults and a three year old child. Having a pool there just for us, right at the door, was just wonderful and more than made up for the fact that Copake Lake is private unless you rent a motor boat. And the house was well-equipped with what we needed. We would definitely go there again.

The house is nestled into the woods and very private. The pool added immensely to our enjoyment. The house is very well equipped and conveniently located to Copake Lake. Great Barrington is about 10 miles away and has much to offer. When we needed to contact the owners, we found them to be very responsive.

This was the perfect place to stay for a family get-together with a wide range in children's ages. Good spaces for people to be together in small or large groups or to be alone. Amenities for all, including cooking, pool activities, an incredible basement activity room (for various ages). Nearby interests (for us, a great farmers market, Taconic state park, interesting stores and a great restaurant.

This place is great for gatherings and has plenty of space to entertain. The kitchen is large and open ups to the living room with a fireplace. The outside has a great porch and gazebo and lots of places to sit around the heated pool. This place was very relaxing and felt right at home! The owners are friendly and were quick to respond to any questions.

We really enjoyed our stay. The game room down stairs was so fun for the kids. The rooms were clean, cute, and the beds were comfortable. Amy (the owner) was very helpful, kind, and was wonderful with responding to my texts. I hope we will be spending more time in this adorable home with fabulous views.
