The Neighborhood:
The Plateau Mont-Royal, this popular area that became yuppie-bohemian is by far the most hip in Montreal. Small intimate theaters, thrift stores, used bikes, exclusive boutiques, cafes, restaurants and delis add to the cultural ferment and bohemian atmosphere that characterize the Plateau, where all lifestyles converge.
This is the best place to really get a feel of what Montreal is all about. It’s community is predominantly francophone and highly eclectic. Artists, students, young professionals and new families mingle with each other, creating an extraordinarily vibrant and colorful human mosaic. Those who do not live there come as often as possible to play and go out, and for good reasons...
Four major arteries are heart the neighborhood: The Saint-Laurent Boulevard - "The Main" - where many cultural communities have established their shops, the Rue Saint-Denis and its multitude of shops, cafes and terraces, Prince Arthur Street and its restaurants "Bring your own wine" and the Mount Royal Avenue with bars both connected and relaxed. A constant hum contrasts with the tranquility of the side streets, the lined up stairs of twisted wrought iron, as well as the lush greenery of Parc La Fontaine.
At night, the Plateau is known to be especially entertaining and warm. From chic lounge to corner microbreweries, from a wide variety of restaurants and taverns to high caffeine content and lively discussions of all it’s coffee shops, the choice is rich. Musicians - Quebec art scene is extremely innovative and prolific - occur every night and all summer, the sidewalks are full of life. A night out, it's here.
Getting Around:
From the Airport, you can take bus 747 all the way to metro station Berri-Uqam. From there use the metro up to station Mont-Royal (only 2 stations). You are at the apartment within a 5 minute of walk.

Everyone had an amazing time!!

If you are looking for a convenient place that is close to everything look no further. The place was fully furnished and the rooms were spacious, I like that there was aircon and heating for each room because we had some people in our group that liked it warm (in the summer!!) and cold. Everything you need in the kitchen too! Overall great location we enjoyed being able to just go down and take a stroll or bike ride on Ave Mt Royal which is closed to traffic in the summer. Had an amazing time everyone really enjoyed. Just one nit-pick, the smoke alarm was finicky about the toaster being on.

Excellent property with everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Montreal. Comfortable beds, great bathrooms, week stocked kitchen, lots of room! Perfect location with great shopping, eating, strolling and music. Short walk to the train station to easily navigate the city. We will be back and will not doubt stay at this property it was perfect. We felt like locals! Thank you for a wonderful trip!

The street this apartment is on is closed to automobile traffic but walkers & bicyclists reign. This a very walkable area of Montreal, accessible to public transportation just up the road a bit. (Being unfamiliar with the area, we opted to reserve the private parking spot behind the property. We were definitely glad we did!)—The apartment was clean & well equipped except for facial tissue. We opted to use toilet paper or napkins until we got back to our car which had its own stash.—We missed the NBA finals, game 5, because we didn’t have a Roku password.—Bummer!—The towels & linens were clean & plentiful. The bathtubs are quite high off the floor (about 20”.) There were no grab bars for secure transition to or from the tubs. One tub has a sink right next to it which we grandparents used to steady ourselves. We did not use the bbq or the deck, we had come to Montreal to taste its many delicacies. All in all, this was a great location to experience this beautiful city.

We had never been to Montreal, but are confident this has to be the best place to stay/ best host in Montreal! The place accommodated a large group perfectly. The area was fantastic! Yann and the team are 11 on scale of 10 with assistance, communication, hospitality.

Location was great and hosts were amazing and responsive.

The amenities and room layout were nicer than described. Having the bedroom with a bunkbed with its own living room and ensuite bathroom was a pleasant surprise where our teens had their own space to hang out giving adults our space - a very roomy dining area and a filly equipped kitchen. Each room was furnished very nicely and gave cozy comfortable feelings. The owner was super responsive to our messages and a great location with grocery stores, lots of cafes and restaurants in walking distance.
Highly recommended!
Thank you.

We were not familiar with the area when we booked, but really lucked out! 100% Walkable neighborhood with tons of restaurant options out the front door. Short walk to the metro station as well. Really enjoyed our stay.

Yann and team have a beautiful apartment that looks larger than the photos provided. They were available throughout the stay to ensure we were comfortable. The apartment was very clean and had plenty of linens available for the group. The street has many amazing restaurants and we were a short walk away from the metro. I highly recommend staying at this apartment!

The property was able to perfectly absorb a party of 9 with ease (with a couple air mattresses involved) and create a fantastic environment for a great trip. The neighborhood is beautiful, fun, and safe even into the late late night. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, shopping, etc, genuinely couldn't ask for better. Highly recommend biking around the neighborhood or even for distances on the many protected bike paths when the adjacent metro stop isn't an absolute necessity. Will be staying here again as soon as possible, wonderful hosts with great communication.

Would definitely recommend this apartment for a trip to Montreal. The unit was clean and located in a great neighborhood with excellent dining options and shopping. We hope to return!

We were in Montreal for a few days to attend a wedding and stayed at this wonderful property. The location is fantastic and it is so easy to communicate with the team. The home is clean and has plenty of towels, cooking utensils and space. Would love to visit again!

The apartment was clean, extremely well stocked fir any cooking needs. Large cozy dining room table where we dined on our finds at the various markets. The responsivenesses to any questions was uncannily prompt and helpful. A great stay in a great location in Montreal.

This apartment was a great location for getting to know the Plateau - it's the main drag in the neighborhood and only allows pedestrian traffic in the summer. It is a great location for walking or taking public transit to other places in MTL and I wish we had brought our bikes! The apartment itself is very well appointed and interactions with property managers were terrific. We would happily return!

This place was a very nice surprise. Many restaurants are close by an in the summer the street is blocked to traffic. Great size for a family. Would definitely repeat.

A lovely, well located apartment, I could totally live here. Our party of 6 really enjoyed our stay here, and there was plenty of room for everyone. Apartment was exactly as advertised, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Close to supermarket and metro stations, plus plenty of restaurants. The guide provided was handy too.

The kitchen floor tiles are peeling and need replaced. There needs to be more plug in outlets for personal devices. Wall outlets are dated and need upgraded.noticed a few small insects on the kitchen counter. Overall great location and comfortable.

This condo was very conveniently located and well-appointed. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, toilets flushed properly and shower pressure was very good. The team servicing this rental were also very friendly and responsive. Great wine bar on corner, coffee shop across the street and groceries or liquor store just a couple blocks down. The ONLY negative for us, which it may not be for others, was that you will definitely hear the nightlife outside on the street up until at least 430 am. On the weekend nites of our stay we were awoken by loud music and/or loud people coming out of bars onto the street just outside. However, this was one of the very few condos with 2 full bathrooms and in the Plateau area. I’d still recommend but maybe bring some ear plugs.

Place was clean, roomy and convenient to shops, restaurants and life. Beds and pillows were amazing comfy. Good water pressure. Nice kitchen.

Great part of town - very close to good restaurants and shopping. Close enough to walk to major tourist sites an easy and pleasant walk if you can walk several miles in a day.
Front step into the entry stairwell is rather steep and a half step added would benefit people with knee or hip issues.
Overall, great apartment with good accommodations -close to bakeries, grocery stores, fruit and veggies stores, and liquor store if you choose to eat in.

Renting the property was with ease. Management was accessible and friendly. I would definitely reccomend.

Our family of four (two 9 year olds) enjoyed staying in this apartment. Walking distance to great restaurants, cafes, groceries and sundries, the apartment is very comfortable, nicely decorated and convenient. Yea for laundry and Netflix to make the most of downtime. One thing to point out is that, given the central location and lively neighborhood, the front bedroom (w/the queen bed) does get street noise throughout the night ....so light sleepers may want to bring a pair of earplugs. But that is the trade-off of staying in a fun area vs a sleepy suburb and it isn't so loud as to be a deal-breaker.

We stayed the MTL Zoo July 23-27 2017. Family of four. Great location and easy in and out. The front bedroom is comfortable but if city street noise bothers you consider sleeping in the back bedroom or use a white noise app on your phone to drown out the traffic. The plus is this room has a great view to see Montreal in-action! The beds were comfy but as others warned, the pillows are memory foam and can be on the harder side. There are more conventional pillows stored near the bunk beds. Our two young adult son slept on the bunks and it was the perfect space for them. Also, having two bathrooms really helped when we were hustling to get out in the morning. There are two portable air conditioner units that helped keep the space comfortable. The kitchen table is fantastic and the Wi-Fi worked beautifully. So glad we found this listing!

This is a beautiful apartment, perfect for myself and my kids (one room has a bunk bed!). It was quiet and well-appointed, yet on a busy, fun street with great cafes, restaurants, and shops. Just a short subway ride from downtown, it was easy to get around. We really enjoyed it and I've already recommended it to others!
2.5
We enjoyed staying at this rental in Montreal. Public transportation was nearby and easily accessible. The apartment was very nicely decorated "zoo" theme and very spacious. The check in and check out process was very easy.

We had a great experience with this rental! Yann and Caroline were very responsive and helpful leading up to our stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted and introduced to apartment and surrounding area. The place was well furnished, very clean and accommodated 10 for sleeping just fine. There's lots to do within walking distance, and it's an easy walk to the metro if you need to get to other parts of town. Parking is a bit tricky, but we managed to grab one of the spots that Yann and Caroline had to offer, and we found a long term car park a few blocks down the road for the rest of the cars. We will be renting from these guys again for sure!
2.5
The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, everything exceeded our expectations. The pillows are a bit too big and firm so it would be good to have some softer ones. We loved the place and only wish that the weather had been better

So pleased to have chosen the MTL Zoo for our stay in Montreal. The location was perfect, everything we needed right outside the door. So much room and a great layout for sharing. The apartment was well appointed with what we needed and more. The sun drenched kitchen in the morning, ample hot water and pressure in the shower and memory foam mattresses were wonderful.
Should we find ourselves in Montreal again, we're sure to consider this Plateau gem for our stay!

What an apartment! This place met and exceeded our expectations. The pictures give an accurate view of what the apartment looks like. Pretty much everything is new or in excellent condition. The kitchen is stocked, the bedrooms are comfortable, and it is truly spacious. The kind of place that's good for a family or a large group.
Probably my favorite aspect of the apartment in the location. Right smack dab in the center of Mont Royal Est, a few blocks from the metro, I could hardly imagine a better spot for someone looking to explore Montreal.
