The house was excellent for a family group. We were there for a week and there was plenty of room to spread out and comfortable places to gather. We especially enjoyed the screened porch. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful property. We had ages 3weeks to 77 and everyone agreed it was a wonderful spot for a family reunion. Property manager EXTREMELY responsive. If I could give more than 5 stars we would!!

Family and friends enjoyed a peaceful week along the lake. House is as described. Very clean with beautiful historic charm. Plenty of room for the 7 adults in my group. The lawn between the house is very generous. We set up our Corn hole and Bocce ball games with plenty of room to spare. The dock is also very generous in size but quite a drop to get into the water. Launching kayaks might not be the easiest thing off of that dock. There is also no place to walk into the water if you’re looking to get your feet wet. Minor inconvenience but if you have small children, it’s worth noting. Overall, we loved the house and the town. Jacci was a pleasure to communicate with and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. The neighbors were the friendliest we’ve come across in the various towns we’ve stayed on the finger lakes. All that passed by said hi and stopped to chat as we enjoyed our morning coffee on the front porch. I would definitely recommend this home and location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the McGuire House! Lovely property and we'll kept grounds. Coffee on the sun porch or dock in the morning was just perfect. House was well appointed and had everything we needed for the week. Jacci and Vergil were fantastic and so helpful when we had questions. Surrounding town was quaint with great restaurants within walking distance. The house is historic (1906) and has the feel of an old-fashioned family getaway home. The furnishings are dated and some things are well-worn, but it fits with the age and feel of the home itself. All of the bedrooms are on the top floor with only one bathroom to share, but we just had certain people use the bathrooms on the middle and bottom floor and it worked out just fine. Tons of towels and supplies, and enough of everything to have a full house with friends and family. All appliances worked well, including BBQ and firepit on the patio - highly recommend grilling and doing smores by sunset!! Overall we had a fantastic time and would recommend this place to anyone! This is one of our best vacations as a family we’ve ever had. Wonderful house and backyard. Kids caught fish off the dock.

We really enjoyed our week here. The property manager gets an A+ for communication and responsiveness. The location is great, walking distance to a few restaurants and a close drive to waterfalls, parks, wineries, breweries, etc. Highly recommend renting a boat to enjoy this location fully. The house is big enough for a large family and very comfortable. The house needs a few upgrades here and there but overall a great place to stay.

This house is amazing. It is older home and Has been taken very good care of. There were 10 of us with plenty of room for all. Yard was fantastic with easy access to the lake.

Overall 4 stars. I think it could be 5 star with a few upgrades to the kitchen, pots/pans for cooking, better beds, addition of a fire pit, and perhaps a lower per night charge. Overall a nice place but there might be better value for the money if you are looking across the finger lakes or Adirondack area. Of course if they have no trouble renting it out then that is what the market is willing to pay.
The house is situated right on the lake and the dock was in very good Shape. Easy for us to get out on the kayak and our paddleboards. Sunsets were amazing. The piece of property is beautiful and it’s lakefront location is ideal. A village market and restaurant are in very close walking proximity and made it easy to pick up take out and other items. The tv setup is a little older so we couldn’t access any streaming service we have (hbo, netlfix etc). The back screened in porch was a nice spot to chill after sundown.
Not a critique of the house but the water
Quality on Cayuga is a little hit or miss. Noticeable blue green algae that shut down the local town beach and local college dock. The locals didn’t mind swimming in it though. It wasn’t terrible. We’ve spent time on Owasco, great sacandaga etc and Cayuga quality seemed to be the lowest of those. We did have some good days though and had no problem swimming and paddleboarding. The hostess Jacci was wonderful meeting us at checkin, giving us a quick tour of everything and was very easy to
Communicate with via text. We had a very pleasant stay overall.

We were very pleased with this rental property. The home is both spacious and charming. We loved the large yard and great swimming right off of the dock. The property was clean and very nicely appointed--I highly recommend.

This was out first family vacation at a lake and we had a fabulous time. Having the boat dock allowed us to bring our boat and the being on the lake everyday was spectacular. We found a few restaurants and a few wineries, swam, tubes and just enjoyed the beauty of being on the water. Aurora is a darling town and we did not have to get in our car as we walked every where. The property managers, Jacci and Virgil, were so helpful and provided us with all the information we needed to enjoy our vacation.Wonderful family vacation.

Over the Memorial Day Weekend our family stayed with Aurora Main Stays at the 293 Main Street location which is a beautiful six bedroom home conveniently located within walking distance of the restaurants in the Town of Aurora and right on Cayuga Lake with a fantastic views of the sunsets from the screened in porch. We were there to celebrate our son's graduation from Cornell with our extended family. We had a great time at the graduation, visiting local vineyards and relaxing at the lake. Jacci Farlow was a great hostess and very responsive to our requests. We hope to return for another visit and will definitely work through Aurora Main Stays and Jacci.

Homeowners Jacci and Virgil were spot on anything we needed from beginning till end. Jacci met us on arrival and showed us the house, which is so much better than trying to find everything on our own, saved us so much time. Family of 12 ages 20s to 80s all had a wonderful time swimming, floating, rowing, grilling, games and sight seeing. The house is amazing with so much room and room for all, best was no waiting for a bathroom. My favorite spot was the rocking chair on the wonderful front porch in the night breeze with the trees singing, and then on Sunday morning with my cup of coffee watching families walking together to church. A vacation spot for all.
