About this house rental
Located in Mills River, less than 15 minutes from the famous Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. & the Asheville Regional Airport, this sleek and meticulously designed cabin is the perfect place for a savvy traveler to land and explore all of the exciting things Western North Carolina has to offer. Whether you're visiting on a family vacation, a getaway with close friends, or a couple's retreat, you'll find pastoral charm & modern luxury at this architectural gem.
In the morning, enjoy your coffee on the covered back patio while listening to the tranquil sounds of the waterfall feature in the backyard that lends the cabin its name. After coffee, stroll or bike through the 16 private acres of forest at the property to breathe in the fresh mountain air. When you return, carve out time to work on creative projects at the desk in the bedroom before sitting down to a delicious breakfast at the kitchen bar that includes blueberries from the garden when in season.
After breakfast, make your way to the local stables at Saddle-Up Trail Rides to go on a scenic riding tour through the Pisgah National Forest, or take a 15-minute drive into Hendersonville to play an exciting round of paintball at Wolverine Paintball Park. If you're interested in chasing epic waterfalls travel just 20 min. to the DuPont State Forest. The most well-known among the 3 is the High Falls Loop trail, a 2.2-mile trek that was once the filming location for the first Hunger Games movie & is an absolute must for outdoor and film enthusiasts alike. Beautiful during any season, the spring & summer months provide the perfect weather for rock hopping along the river bank, while the fall & winter months provide natural marvels like color-changing foliage and spectacular ice formations. In the afternoon, cheers to your adventures at a local brewery over some ice-cold brews. At Mills River Brewing Co., listen to live music while soaking up the sun on their outdoor patio & sipping their refreshing Riverside Hefe.
Less than 15 minutes away, you'll find Sideways Farm & Brewery, where you can enjoy a unique artisan farm ale that is bottled & naturally conditioned with local wildflower honey. Blue Ghost Brewing, located less than 5 minutes from the airport, is named after the Blue Ghost Firefly—a native species unique to the southern Appalachian Mountains. Enjoy their LAGA Golden Ale or their Grapefruit IPA year round along with a stadium pretzel or tray of fried brussel sprouts at their Hungry Ghost food truck. End your tour with two of the most well-known breweries in the area—Bold Rock Mills River Cidery & the iconic Sierra Nevada Brewing Company & Taproom. In the evening, grab dinner at Tamarind Thai Cuisine which serves up fresh & traditional Thai plates, Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack which serves up deliriously good fried chicken & soul food, or return home to craft a delicious dinner using the gas grill & extremely well stocked gourmet kitchen.
Enjoy dinner at the hand-crafted live edge dining table inside, or have dinner on the outdoor patio in the backyard on the warmer evenings. After dinner, gather around the cozy fireplace (easily operated with a switch on the wall) & stream a movie on the Smart TV, or gather around the outdoor fire pit to roast s'mores and stargaze to your heart's content. Exceptionally chic & contemporary, the polished features & convenient location of Falling Waters Cabin allow you to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside while lodging in the lap of luxury!
NOTE: This home is NOT pet-friendly. While 4WD/AWD is not required, we strongly recommend vehicles with high clearance since the road is gravel. Gas logs are only operable September-May & are shut off during the summer months of June, July, and August. The backyard water feature is not operational December-April or when cooler temperatures are expected. The WIFI connection is from a satellite internet provider so it's limited and can be impacted by the weather and growing season.

very cozy, super quiet, I would definitely come back, you just need to be more careful with cleaning as there was a lot of dust and dirt on the floor ☺️ other than that it's very good☺️

We love this house. It is our return trip from last year and we had a blast. The location is ideal, close to Brevard snd Hendersonville, hiking and waterfalls.

Had a great few days away from the kids with my husband. Excellent location between Asheville and Brevard. Super clean and just an amazing home. Saw lots of deer and wildlife. Would love to go back!

Fantastic place to stay, newly renovated home on a quiet country road. Loved all the amenities the house had to offer and it was hard to beat waking up to all the deer roaming around the front yard every morning! Never been to the Asheville area before, we had a blast hiking, mountain biking and sampling all the great breweries and food trucks, all within about 20 to 30 min of this place. Already planning out trip back, would definitely choose this property again.

We arrived. The location is not ideal one lane dirt road. With neighbors that are living in campers.
The home had no power. We were not offered any support to help make the stay more comfortable. We just received a text stating the power company had been called and the power will be on soon. The power came on at 3:00 a.m. we had been to the store to buy groceries and needed to return to town to buy ice and candles.
I prefer a homeowner VRBO that is in it to share there property and provide a nice experience. I do not ever get this feeling from a management company.
The home had 4 - 8 oz glasses, no toilet paper the fireplace was very loud and we had to turn it off since the noise was annoying.
A 10:00 a.m. check out is challenging when they want the dishes and beds stripped. I have never slept in bed with no fitted bottom sheet and the closet in the bunk room had pillows and blankets in a heaping pile in the closet.
The driveway had a big bump that every time we drove over it- it felt like our car would bottom out.
So if you like a family feeling to a home this is not it. This is a home that is being rented to make $$$

It was quiet and private which made for a peaceful stay.

This house was just what we were looking for! The property and surroundings are beautiful, quiet and private yet close to groceries, gas and restaurants. The house was comfortable and everything we needed for 4 adults and 2 kids. I’m sure the house and property can be enjoyed even more when the weather is warmer. Mills River was the perfect in-between location for everything we wanted to do in Asheville and Brevard.

Locked out of the home. Standing in the freezing cold because they suddenly changed the code. I've been paying for this place for a week now. Ridiculous!!!! Also, the home wasn't clean when we arrived, very lazy job done. The bed was the most uncomfortable mattress ever, it seriously injuired both of our backs. Also, absolutely terrible customer service - they all have the worst attitudes. Disappointed with this whole experience.

We enjoyed our stay. Saw plenty of deer in the yard and had a relaxing stay. Mattresses are on the soft side.

The property is very beautiful and even better in person. I loved the landscaping and outdoor seating areas. This home is easy to get to (on a gravel path but not too steep) and close to a grocery store. Inside the house is comfortable and cozy. We especially liked that there was a smart TV in every room and we enjoyed using the gas logs.

My family and I had an amazing stay at Falling Waters! The property was clean, spacious, welcoming, decorated beautifully, we could not have asked for a better stay. Without a doubt we would rent again! The location is perfect, very secluded yet only 10 mins from grocery stores and restaurants. Mills River is a beautiful area to stay . Thank you for a wonderful addition to our vacation!!

Property was very well maintained. Good location.
However, please note that immediate neighbors have a firing range on their property. So, that definitely takes away from the tranquility of the setting. If the sound of nearby gunfire concerns you, I would recommend another property.

Arrived before and stayed during a snow storm. Wouldn't have minded staying another day if the driveway couldn't be cleared, but the driveway was cleared by a distant neighbor. This place is well designed with high end quality appliances and attention to detail. Very clean and well designed. Better in person. Could use some closet space in the master bedroom. Gorgeous and relaxing during the snow storm mid January/2022. Didn't lose power during the 12 inches but lost internet. Enjoyed our time here and will be back!

Very nice accommodations for Asheville and not to far from things.
