Please no raging parties, but family get togethers, holiday celebrations, etc. are welcome as long as you clear it with us first. Due to a city ordinance and fire codes there can be no more than 12 people in this home at once, for any family get together, or holiday celebration. Please talk with us about your plans in our home prior to booking. Please let us know and keep parking to the street in front of the house.
Guest Access:
You'll have full access to the entire home. This is a corner lot so please be respectful of our neighbors and only park on the street next to the house and away from the intersection, and on the side driveway (can fit 6+ cars total).
The Neighborhood:
The Old Colorado City neighborhood dates back to the 19th century, it's quaint and eclectic, with lots of large trees. It's very central to much that Colorado Springs has to offer, so this makes a great home base.
Getting Around:
This is one of the more walkable areas of Colorado Springs, and you have a handful of restaurants and shops as well as a grocery store just across Uintah. Old Colorado City main drag is about a mile away. For anything else you'll want a car (or a bike if you're active like us Coloradans!).
It's generally easiest to get around Colorado Springs by car. Uber and Lyft are both readily available in our experience (getting to DIA can be slightly challenging but is possible), and a rental is always easy.
Other Things to Note:
No raging parties, but family get togethers, holiday celebrations, etc. are welcome as long as you clear it with us first and stay under 12 people. Please let us know and keep parking to the driveway and the street next to the house.
We're still working on the yard, thanks for your patience as we clean that up. Photos to follow once it's completed.
We require ID verification, terms accepted, and security deposit for all reservations.
Permit #: 2203
Interaction with Guests:
We are available via messenger/email or phone/text to help with anything you need, we're located across town so you likely won't actually see us.

The house is beautifully decorated. The central location was convenient. The foosball and tether ball was fun for our grandkids. There was plenty of sleeping space for our family of 10. A bigger dining table would have been nice (only 4 dining chairs.) The entry way to the downstairs bathroom could use a rug on the cement floor. The TV was hard to figure out. The house could use a deep cleaning and a little yard work. We found a few bugs/spiders, so a good spraying might help too.

Colorado was beautiful our stay was great. The house was clean but the appliances and pots and pans were old. Could not really cook and the oven was not cleaned at all. Towels were old and stinky refrigerator was not cold even when we adjusted the temp. Not enough dishes and glass ware. Utensils were old and not enough. No patio furniture to sit outside.

We arrived for a college graduation, back door was unlocked all the windows were unlocked, in master bedroom there was damage (a hole in the paster board) to a wall, I took pictures of paint scrapes and wall reported it right away, in the up stairs bathroom, under the trash can the following morning we went to pull trash as can moved out there was a condom under it, I began to wonder if it had been cleaned and inspected befor we arrived. Front porch lights didnt work, a storm had come thru prior to our arrival lots if branches down in yard, which host had someone come clean up the next days, after I reported it. street parking branches were removed by city on Monday. If they inspected and cleaned they w0Neighbors were wonderful. Seen lots of beautiful sights, was nice being able to come home in evenings and cook supper, pleanty of room kids could and did have movie night, adults played games and just really enjoyed ourselves! Was nice having dish washer and laundry available, looking forward to grandsons Masters graduation from CCU next year! Hope to see you again.

Great location, close to stores, easy access to freeways and lots of sleeping spaces. The master bedroom upstairs has the most comfortable bed. I would recommend highly!

Me and a co worker along with the president and owner of our company started a new station in Colorado Springs and instead of getting 4 individual hotels we did one house and this one was super roomy, comfortable, and made it to where we could all talk and discuss things while enjoying TV and pizza lol. Everyone loved it and it's awesome location definitely made the trip feel like home.

Enjoyed the location of the rental as it was close to OCC. The house was exactly as described in the listing. Owners were easy to communicate with and check in and out went well. We were only there for two nights, but had no issues with anything.

The problem with the house was the mold/mildew smell coming from the basement, which made it impossible to utilize that area due to allergies and asthma. This is the information I received from my in-laws upon their return. Unfortunately they did not tell me, or report the issue to the property manager…they just dealt with it. They also said the floors were dirty, as evidenced by their socks when walking inside. This is the second time now that I have had the experience of unsatisfactory stays at VRBO….worried that this could be becoming a trend.

Besides the property being in excellent condition and an excellent location, Ryan was an absolute pleasure to work with. We unfortunately had troubles getting payment to connect, and Ryan worked with me extensively to make sure we were squared away.
He also checked in with us throughout the stay and made sure we were all as comfortable as possible.
Stay here, you won't regret it.

There were a total of 9 of us. The house has recently been updated and modernized. The bedding is fresh and clean. The house is fairly well stocked. The owners were fabulous. They provided great recommendations for restaurants and activities. It is centrally located to many great activities. Harden of the God's, Red Rock Hiking Trail, Seven Bridges Hiking Trail, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and many others.

The house was exactly as described, what wasn't described was the location. If you are looking for a lot of options, this is the place for you!
The house was wonderful and had ample room for our party of 8. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept peacefully. The kitchen had everything we needed. The showers had excellent water pressure and the towels were soft. The price was so worth it! There were deer in the yard and roaming the neighborhood 🥰
The location was perfect for a family vacation! Minutes from Manitou, Garden of the Gods, Old Colorado Springs historic downtown, parks, food, grocery store, and all the necessities. The neighbors were very nice.
The process was easy and the communication was excellent. We will most definitely stay here again!

I will never rent again from Ryan Dekker. I received a message from the host making statements that do not match reality. I was extra charged without prior consultation for extra fees in reference to things that are supposed to be offered to guests like shampoo, conditioning and trash bags.
The first day we came to the house we found dirt under the beds, a dirty microwave and just one extra trash bag. We had 12 adults (all but one over 60) for 3 nights. There was no replacement for anything: shampoo, conditioner and body wash were already opened and used. Some of us brought our own shampoos and soap, others used the ones offered from the house.
At the end of our stay we stacked boxes, cans, and bottles for trash in a corner in the kitchen along with the trash bag because there were no extra trash bags and we could not find the trash bins outside the house, expecting that the cleaning would take care of it.
At the end Ryan sent this message without a previous consultation:
“Hi Flavia, just so you know, the cleaners found that a decorative picture was missing, missing shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, missing full box of trash bags, and that the unit required extra cleaning. As a result, they had to charge an extra $55 to your reservation. Just wanted to let you know so you are not caught by surprise what that charge was for. Thanks again for staying with us, and hope you enjoyed your 4th of July!”
When you think of 12 people, taking showers for 3 days, it could be normal that an opened and semi used shampoo can run out. Otherwise the host should provide a menu with prices for the guests deciding to use trash bags, shampoos etc. And given the original condition of the house and lack of trash bags, we feel that any extra charges are unfair.
We reached out to him to talk and he did not respond. So we cannot recommend this house.
