Beautiful house. Plenty of room for 4 adults to each have their own space. Lots of activities to keep everyone busy after a busy day of hiking. Lovely deck to watch wild life.
4.0 / 5.0
We wanted for nothing while in the house (well…except for some privacy curtains in the bedrooms.) made do with extra sheets. The owner did a wonderful job of offering all those little extras you love to see in a home when you are renting, highly recommend this home.
2.0 / 5.0
So many hairs of previous guests all over the bed sheets and pillow cases. Clogged hair in downstairs shower drain from previous guests. Most Windows were missing screens and shades. The Windows without shades were in bedrooms, neighbors could see right in! We had to walk into other closets/bathrooms/hallways to change clothes! And forget sleeping in or napping once the sun’s up. The “screen doors” to the deck are torn apart and non functional. The dog area is dirty and cluttered, as is the bbq area. There is an old dirty RV camper parked right in front of the deck which ruins the nature view and vibes from the deck. Touch key pad to get in front door stopped working halfway thru our stay and we had to get ahold of local help. Overall a downer to the trip.

Clean, spacious, and great location.

Loved staying here, girlfriend didn’t want to leave. Nice to have grocery store nearby and Iron Door tavern was nice to talk with the locals
A little far from Yosemite 1.25 hours but I don’t think you’ll find anything closer unless you stay in the park

Overall, the rental was outstanding and perfect. My comments are mostly for people to prepare for the environment.
The house and neighborhood are wonderful. The sound of the running stream in the back yard was so nice to hear with the windows open. The dog was in heaven with all the toys and the lookout opportunities from the deck. The bathrooms are wonderfully updated, the kitchen was extremely well stocked, and the house had every kind of entertainment for all ages to enjoy quality time together. We loved the comfortable seating after hiking and the views from the windows. So close to Yosemite, and the town has more restaurants than we expected.
The signage for the driveway says “Bear Necessities,” but it is the correct house—don’t be deterred. The driveway is extremely steep at the top, which got tough in the wet spring snow, even though you don’t have to go down very far. Just be aware if you are traveling in the early season to check your tire treads and be a confident driver. Also, bring strong bug spray. The local hikes were excellent, but our dog picked up so many ticks, and we couldn’t tell if it was from the neighborhood or the hikes. Make sure you have protection for your pets either way. And enjoy! We did!

We stayed here for 3 nights, all the amenities were great. There were lot of games and books available for kids and grown ups as well. Extra linens and towels were provided. Driveway is little steep, so had to be careful parking in and out. The house has log cabin type feel to it.
4.0 / 5.0
The house was comfortable and furnished well. We enjoyed the relaxed "home away from home" feel. Couldn't give it a 5 star rating because we had to rewash many dishes before use. They looked like they had been through the dishwasher without soap and were not clean. We found the manager difficult to communicate with and the amenity that had been our deciding factor for choosing this property was missing. The kids were disappointed as we couldn't figure out the gaming equipment or the tvs. Don't know if it was broken or we just didn't know how to use it. It would have been helpful to have some instructions available. The manager never did respond to our text about it. Although there were disappointments with the amenities and communication, we enjoyed our stay at Lucky dog and would come back.

Great house for our adult family and dog. Nice area and great location to visit Yosemite to hike every day.

Open living on the main floor with screens for the sliders to the deck. Totally stocked kitchen for all your cooking and baking needs! The shower in both bathrooms was wonderful. The master bedroom is upstairs and was very comfortable - bed is super high though. Comfy chair to sit by the window and read. Lots of birds plus the deer and the wild turkeys visit several times a day!

We enjoyed the property and the location. Groveland is a wonderful area and this house did not disappoint. It’s right off the main, busy road so it was very quiet. Great set-up and layout, would recommend and stay again

This House is very tastefully and well put together. The interior decorating is top shelf. Very comfortable and everything you need. We had a very hospitable time.
Just a few notes for a to do list :
1.Downstairs toilet looks like the flush pump needs to be replaced , it won’t fill water
2. The deck has a lot of tree sap , maybe a covering for it . It’s such a nice deck
We would come back next year !

Everything was great only problem we had every time getting into the property we had to wait 10 to 15 minutes because the check in gates were so busy. And the $45.00 parking fee per car.
