Great location, delicious breakfast, kind and understanding owners

The Host, Gerlinde was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. The Guest house was very clean and nice. The location was nice and quiet & felt very safe.
Breakfast was traditional and lovely.
My toilet and shower were not in my room. They were just across the hallway, so no big problem, but it would have been nice to have en-suite.

Nice quiet location but not isolated with good parking facility on driveway. Very comfortable room with excellent breakfast and friendly and obliging owners. Good local dining and walking possibilities.
Nothing negative to say

Super friendly hosts, cooked eggs they way we wanted, close to Zell, a cute town,
The only thing we did not like was it was advertised as a private bath, which actually it was, but it was down the hallway not in our room,

The breakfast was delicious, varied, & more than enough. Frau Dold even offered to wrap up my leftover Brötchen & other items so I could take them with me. The room I stayed in was clean, quiet, & comfortable. For anyone not used to staying in a room with a shared bath, you would be more than satisfied with the set-up at Haus Gerlinde as the separate shower and separate toilet are so close to the guest bedrooms all located on one lower hallway. Mr. & Mrs. Dold are very gracious hosts & simply delightful people!
Everything was super!

It was exceptional in every way. There were beautiful views of the forest from the lovely terrace. The room was perfect with an attached bath and very clean. We were able to park our car in the driveway of the house. Best of all were our hosts, kind and sweet and generous couple who went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Our hostess was attentive and served us personally at breakfast which was very good with tasty coffee. It was one of those rare stays that exceeded expectations. We also got a Konus card free which entitled us to free train use within the entire black forest and use of the pool in the village of Zell. Thank you very much to the Dolds for your kindness :)

5 minutes walk from Unterharmersbach station but the host came to pick us up with his car! He also dropped us off after checkout. We initially booked a room with external bathroom but the host gave us a better room with a bathroom inside! There is a shared kitchen fully equipped with a kettle, microwave, kitchenware, fridge, cooktop and a table. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet and cozy. Heating was good and the bathroom was big with shelves to put stuff on. The breakfast is included in the stay and it was FANTASTIC!! The host also offered us to take some leftovers for lunch. One of the best part was that you get a free train+bus ticket around the entire black forest area (except for ICE trains. Be aware!). Gengenbach is about 20 mins away, Freiberg is 2 hrs away, Baden-Baden about 1hr 15mins away. Triberg is about 50mins away and the waterfall is beautiful.
The host only speaks German with little English but there was no problem with communication with the use of translators. The host couple are super nice like your own family. We would definitely return!
There’s no shampoo so bring your own! But they provided us with a big bottle of body wash.
