An Amazing Break

The apartment was spotlessly clean and larger than expected. The images did not quite do it justice. The whole building has so much character. It also had everything you could need for any duration of stay. All of the modern conveniences of home. Coffees, teas and sugars were topped up daily, which is not something that you always see and was a nice touch. The location is outstanding. You would struggle to get views like this anywhere else, especially at this price point. If you're visiting for the touristy elements of the city, you could not do much better. Public transport around this location is also superb (though we tended to walk anyway) so getting around the city is a breeze. The staff are incredibly polite, informative and accommodating. Our flight arrived quite a bit earlier than expected and thus we arrived at the hotel far earlier than we had stated. The room was understandably not ready so we were allowed to store our bags in the office (which appeared to be quite safe) and received a text when the room was ready which was far earlier than the listed earliest check-in time. Their online check-in and checkout systems were worth using and did save some time. We recieved prompts for these a couple of days before.

I'm sure this will be a matter of opinion but none of us particularly liked the firm beds. It did not hinder our sleep much but 2 of our group have back problems and the beds did not agree with them. It's worth noting that these apartments are located above a their own restaurant of the same name. Which by the way is also outstanding. However on Saturday night it did get a little loud. This was understandable however as we were in the apartment located directly above and it was only that one evening.

Great apartment in a lovely old building. Very spacious and well-equipped with beautiful views from the terrace. Location couldn’t be better - right in the heart of Mala Strana.

Superb

The host was very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was sumptuous. The central location was great. So much to like.

Unfortunately we were in the attic which was charming but low ceilings with narrow steep steps. But we tall retirees made it work for 3 nights.

- a lot of stairs / no lift; quite narrow stairs up to bedroom in duplex room; not convenient if you have big bags - the pictures on booking.com, as well as in the corridor on the ground floor, gave the impression of a better/larger/better decorated room; not the case for all rooms.

Convenient

Was well located across Charles Bridge for walking into town. Plenty of food and convenience options available. Room full of character and mini kitchen was a big plus. Staff let us keep luggage in the office until our flight time. The room was quiet so sleeping was easy

Stairs up to bed area were very steep and narrow so hard to navigate at night if you wake up needing the bathroom. Ceiling was low in bed area (not a problem for us, but something to consider if you happen to be tall!)

Perfect 3 night stay at the Residence U Mecenase to celebrate my 50th birthday.

Room was beautiful, clean and spacious. Great location. Staff could not have been more helpful.

Great location, fantastic breakfast and friendly staff. It was very clean and had all the essentials.

Next time I would choose a bigger apartment. I am 1.9m tall and had to be careful not to bang my head. The shower cubicle was also very small, and the control knob was easy to accidentally knock and scald oneself.

amazing architecture and old-world ambience, yet updated for everything modern and comfortable - amazing kitchenette and bathroom. And the view!!!

There was no facility to get food delivered up to the room from the restaurant.

Beautiful stylish accom. Wonderful central location. Great staff.

Every single thing about this accom was fantastic, from the wonderful location; the room views; staff; restaurant food. drinks and staff; the room size, facilities, finishes and attention to detail, complimentary coffee pods, beautiful kitchen and wonderful bathrooms (3). The wonderful little touch of Christmas cookies left on our doorknob and tabletop Christmas tree also made our stay special. This was a highlight accom for our Christmas in Europe trip from Australia. A delicious Christmas dinner on 25th in the restaurant downstairs was also fantastic.

The only thing we didn't like was the fact we had to leave. When we re-visit Prague we will definitely stay here.

The charm, location for seeing the sights. staff were really helpful and restaurant was amazing

the only thing I’d change was the room. it was lovely but because it was in the attic it was dark and had tiny windows that you couldn’t see out of so felt a bit oppressive. It’s a really small detail though as it only mattered when we took some downtime

Stunning relaxing holiday

The apartment was beautiful inside, with wooden beams and lots of sunlight. Bedroom and living room were very spacious. There was a bath and shower. There was a control for the blinds and easy to turn on / off heating. Staff were helpful and friendly. Within walking distance of main attractions and good cafes nearby.

Great location, great value for money, excellent hosts. 10 out of 10.

Mala Strana is by far the best place to stay in Prague. You are close to everything and the trams are never far away. Our stay was really first rate. The beds were some of the most comfortable I can remember. The apartment was really well appointed and very quiet(apartment 5). The bathroom had a very roomy shower and everything was spotlessly clean. It was a very quick stroll to Charles bridge and into the old town although we found Mala Strana far more interesting. Fabulous value for money. Highly recommended.
