The fact that this home has its own jetty and Lake Veluwemeer is less than five minutes away by car will naturally make it attractive to those keen on their watersports, but we think there's more than enough at the address for it to be of interest to anyone not within that group. For a start, the large garden offers plenty of ways to savour spells of pleasant weather, whether that's dining on the terrace or sitting back in the bubbly water of the hot tub. There's even a barbecue so you can treat guests to an alfresco banquet. Inside, the home's stark white walls and bright pieces of artwork lend the feel of a contemporary art gallery, while the monochrome kitchen and sleek bathrooms are equally stylish. That's not to say that comfort hasn't been considered, though — what could be cosier than gathering around the fireplace in the living room or hopping into the sauna for a quick sweat? As well as the ample opportunities for fishing, sailing and boating on the local waterways, you can go walking or cycling in the Veluwse Bossen woods or drive over to the city of Harderwijk in just over ten minutes to check out the museums and restaurants.
