Es war alles okay, sehr familiär und gemütlich
Der Preis war doch vergleichsweise üppig

Quite place to stay in the "green"' Salzburg part, with convinient bus transport to the centre of Salzburg. The hostess Isabell and her mother were very polite and nice. The breakfast was very rich and varied.
The price was rather high, but hotels in Salzburg in August (Salzburger Festspiele time) are very expensive and despite this the Steinerhof is one of the cheapest.

The property is absolutely beautiful, it was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable, and the wifi connection was very strong as well.
If you don’t have a car/bike available, this property might be a little far for you. It was an hour walk into town however there is a bus stop next to the property (we just prefer walking). There’s also no fridge or kettle in the rooms. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay!

Very nice property in typical austrian style, inside and outside, with a little lake and even some deers in the surroundings. Very much idillic.
We have already had a bad feeling about the staff, before departing. It seemed like, from the messages they'd sent us, that they wanted to "punish" us with a worse room because we didn't choose to have breakfast at the property. Maybe it was not like that, but it appeared so from the tone of the messages. In two days, we haven't seen anybody at the property to welcome us, which in this case was probably good. But on the other hand it created a big problem. On the last day, we left early. We thought, we had already paid in advance, as it is now usually the case with Booking.com. We immediately got a message from the property, that we left without paying, and if we didn't pay quickly, they would report us to the authorities. In the end, we managed with some difficulties to pay for the two nights, but the owners were really disrespectfull, as if we were thieves. Such disrispectfull behaviour for 200 Euros would never happen in Switzerland. It seemed like the owners would starve to death if we didn't pay them right away...They have a lot to learn if they want to continue this activity sustainably.

Very pretty guesthouse on the outskirts of Salzburg but still very close. Very accommodating host. Wonderful breakfast!

The location is beautiful and the guest house is traditional. So fun/quaint/picturesque. Right next to bus stops.
It smelled strongly of cow poop all day, almost intolerably so. But that’s what you get in the countryside of Salzburg! Also, no gluten free options at breakfast and we didn’t see the host once during the stay.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was sweet and cute and we were given some Austrian chocolates. There are deer in the backyard!! It’s a beautiful little bed and breakfast on a lovely farm.
We had a little trouble finding it at first but only because we could not use GPS. Would not be a problem for most! We walked a lot this trip so the walk to the bus stop was no problem, but if you have trouble getting around that may be something to consider.

Excellent breakfast. Lovely Family and the daughter spoke good English. Bus stop for bus to Salzburg close by and very frequent, even late at night. Excellent restaurant close by (Reiterhof Moos) which was open on Sunday.
All good.

Quiet location near a bus stop for the city centre. Wonderful breakfast. Fridge in the room.
No fan available to help with warm nights. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. No real welcome pack with information such as wifi password or local amenities.

We loved this house, it was traditionally Austrian, with a beautiful view of the mountains from our window. Very clean, the hosts were very friendly and the location was very good. Regular buses took us to the city centre and the bus stops were very close to the house. The breakfast was amazing, everything you could want for a continental breakfast and beautifully laid out for us. We loved this place and would definitely stay again.
Its been difficult to find something that we didn't like, we had a lovely stay.

The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right 'at home'. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, the breakfast room was very cozy. The location was great: it felt like being in the countryside, but it was only a 15 minute ride by bus (bus stop right near the hotel) to downtown Salzburg. Perfect!
Nothing to complain about.

Excellent, fresh breakfast; friendly, flexible staff; views from the balcony; simple check-in process; and good access to public transport.
Mattress could have been more comfortable; pillows were a bit too soft for our liking; and the road to the Gasthaus was not well lit and got a bit scary to walk through at nights.

The view from the room is amazing, the breakfast was really good and the bed was super comfy. Line 21 bus stop is really close to the guesthouse (2-minute walk) so one can easly get to the to city center with public transport. The host was really friendly, too.
There was no such thing.

wonderful decor and helpful staff! Breakfast was amazing and the view from our balcony refreshed us every morning
Wished we could have stayed longer!

Amazing view, friendly staff, big and cosy bedroom. Although a bit far from the city center, there is a bus that you can get to reach there close to the property.
Everything was great. It is more a suggestion: considering that it is far from supermarkets it would be good to offer water, bier, chocolate and this kind of stuff.

Loved the location and beautiful grounds and view of the mountains. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts were great! Would have loved to stay longer.
It would be helpful to provide detailed directions (like noting the signage at the road to look for). We had difficulty locating it. Would also help to have a greeting to familiarize you with the site (where was the gathering room with the fireplace?l.

Booking Hello I received an invoice for 160 euros. The hotel charged me a different amount. Although listed if breakfast, we did not receive breakfast. I had another reservation and the hotel canceled and wanted cash 186.8 euros, which is a sum through booking.

It was a place to sleep
Location and sign at the road made it hard to find - Decor is not typically Austrian - Night table lights did not work - Shower stall was way too small - Were charged extra for slight late departure

This guesthouse was so beautiful! The grounds were covered with beautiful flowers and the handcrafted woodwork on the inside was traditional making the stay feel very authentic and special. Also we stayed in three different hotels/ guesthouses during our vacation and this place had the most comfortable bed and pillows (down filled)! I was very impressed. Lastly, there were some unique (unique to us as we're from America) animals including Alpine deer that you could see grazing in the early morning.
Breakfast was cancelled due to the Covid restrictions and that was disappointing. The weather was so pleasant so we had our windows open the majority of the time, but unfortunately there were a lot of mosquitos in our room.

outside of the city with a nice view over the mountains
the room was extremely dirty for austrian standards. We had big flies in the room, as well as baby flies. One dead coackcroach (see picture). Some hairs of the previous guests were not cleaned on the toilets and in the sink. The bathroom smelled moldy and the bed sheets and towels smelled weird as well. There were holes in the bedsheets. The toilets were smelly. The dust was everywhere. Wifi didnt work all the time. Extremely expensive for the commodities overall.

This was so charming and quaint! Great little bed and breakfast. The room was very comfortable and clean, and had everything we needed. The private balcony was a plus too! If you’re looking for a quieter place outside of Salzburg, this is perfect. It’s a short 15-20 minute drive into the city. The family that owns the house was very nice and welcoming too!
We were hoping it was a little closer to downtown Salzburg. The drive into the city wasn’t bad at all, but we were expecting it to be closer.

Country setting and homey feeling. Lovely room with balcony and view of mountains. Very comfortable beds and nice breakfast assortment and ambiance.
Some of the people available did not speak English. So not able to assist when we had issues accessing the internet nor could they assist with questions about things to do in the area. The internet did eventually get resolved and we found our way around!

The breakfast was good, but the same every day. My suggestion would be to be buffet style and everyone to choose what they want. I honestly expected traditional homemade products, but they weren't, although it smelled like apple pie when we got there.
The beds were very comfortable.
It was very quiet and the view was wonderful, the room had a huge balcony.
The location of the pension is close to the bus station and you can quickly reach the city center by bus 21. We bought the Salzburg card and had a lot of advantages (free access to public transport and most tourist attractions).
I recommend this location.
Breakfast could be varied. Because if you stay for several days, it's boring to eat the same food.
