A lovely quiet stay in the country

Tina is a great host - friendly and helpful, and cooks an excellent breakfast! We chose the very quiet twin bedded room at the back of the house - warm with deep carpet, views over river from both windows, attractive decoration and well furnished. Large en-suite with good shower. Property is easy to find. Easy parking. Nice garden. We enjoyed the company of the hens and gentle dog. Good meals at King Alfred at Burrowbridge and Royal Oak (community pub) at Stoke St Gregory.

The mattresses didn't quite provide the support we are used to. Short flight of steep stairs to bedroom - we will enquire about staying in the ground floor annex next time. But both not great problems.

Perfect comfortable stay with a wonderful host.

Our second stay at Morland. Tina is the perfect host with a lovely warm greeting and she kindly upgraded us to the annex. Everything you could need is there and it was lovely and warm ready for our arrival. Very comfortable bed, hot shower and drinks available. Breakfast choice great and cooked to order. Location perfect for our family event in a calm peaceful setting. We will return in the future thanks again Tina.

Fabulous stay in the countryside

Fabulous cooked breakfast with fresh eggs from the hens in the garden. Lovely large four poster bed that was incredibly comfy. Excellent hostess accommodating our early check and providing extra touches to our stay. Definitely a place to return to.

The perfect choice - the best B&B we have ever stayed in.

What a perfect choice we made. Absolutely everything was 100% - the room, bed and location were perfect. The breakfast was superb. Tina is the perfect host and did everything to meet our needs.

Fabulous!

Tina was very welcoming and an excellent host. Could not have done any more for us. Breakfast was excellent and she even supplied us with an off the cuff request for porridge. Loved the greeting from the chickens on arrival.

A very peaceful nights stay

A lovely quiet location and a very nice property. The owner was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the twin room which was upstairs and had plenty of room. Breakfast was delicious.

Lovely, homely stay - amazing breakfast!

Such a lovely, homely welcome and property. The room was spacious yet really cosy with thoughtful touches - the bed was huge and so comfortable! Breakfast was amazing - it was such a treat for it to be freshly cooked at a time that suited us. Lovely location too, really quiet and peaceful with beautiful countryside views.

Excellent, happy to recommend and look forward to visiting the area & Morland again.

Everything from the Hostess, Tina, the property, the room, (with a luxurious 4 poster bed). The property is in a quiet rural area with good views over the surrounding countryside. The rear of the property allows views along the river, with seating on the deck. It also allows access to the river walks , down toward the very welcoming local pub. The facilities were everything we needed and Tina's attention to detail exceeded our expectations.

Host and hostess were friendly, caring and most hospitable. - Although I was on my own I felt cared for in every way.

Reminded me of home where I lived from birth to age 18.

Beautiful location, fabulous host.

Outstanding- Tina is a lovely host…so are the friendly chickens. Breakfast was incredible & catered to my gluten allergy. Wonderful walking spot with a river to the rear of the property. I stayed for a work visit & internet was excellent. Cannot recommended enough!

Perfect home when you are away from home.

Very friendly hosts. Offered a choice of rooms available. Very comfortable and everything you need. Breakfast was the best full English in ages with nice touches. Beautiful location with the river going past and seating available to relax and enjoy the views. Plenty of parking space.

Spotlessly clean, peaceful location, welcoming hosts and amazing breakfasts!

We were made very welcome with a friendly greeting on arrival, and shown where breakfast would be and all relevant facilities in the room. Lovely touch of chocolates and biscuits to go with the tea, coffee and water. The room was immaculately clean, spacious and comfortable with a beautiful, peaceful view onto the river. The breakfasts are fantastic - freshly cooked to order (placed the night before) and served piping hot and including the delicious honey which is produced on site. A gorgeous, quiet spot surrounded by green fields but within easy reach of so many places and things to do. It felt nothing would have been too much trouble, and we very much hope to return with other family members when we visit our friends in the area again. Highly recommended!

It is impossible to fault our one night stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful despite us being late due to an problem on the M5. The room was clean, spacious, the bed was large & comfortable, and the bathroom had a good shower. Breakfast on the terrace was excellent and a lovely bonus to sit out.

Excellent overnight stop and very much hoping to visit for a longer stay.

First class, individualised breakfast and very amenable host - nothing was too much trouble. Nice quiet location and easy parking.
