It was ok, bed and pillows were comfortable, bathroom small tub was dingy. You can hear everything ( when someone was using their bathroom, flushing the toilet, conversations).

I had the worst room a the 1st floor. This was likely because I booked through hotels.com. This seems to happen more times than not. Room was on 1st floor, next to the ice machine and dumpster directly out window. Overall a very loud stay. I woke up at 3am to someone getting ice and then multiple times there after. If I had one nice thing to say the restaurant attached to the hotel is pretty good. For being attached to a holiday inn I’d give the restaurant 4/5 stars.

Fishing trip on the Sound Bound out of point view marina. Very close

It is a little bit old. Bathroom is so small. Swimming pool looks good but no heat.

Surprisingly, for me, nice hotel! Comfortable beds, nice linens, clean, and quiet

This property looks old and has a musty smell. The room was well-worn and definitely needs updating. When we checked out, I asked for a printed copy of our bill. I was told that I could only get it from Expedia. That isn’t true! We’ve gotten printed copies from our last two hotels on this trip— Wyndham and Hampton Inn. I honestly can’t recommend this hotel.

Immediate recognition and hello by staff upon entry, rooms dark and temperate for sleeping, bed comfortable and bathroom clean

The property is clean and well-maintained but not having an outdoor pool open in the summer is a real bummer. The property is well-located near Narragansett but be careful because the road it's on is quite busy.

The onsite restaurant, Locanda, served very good Italian food. This is run by a separate company that rents the space from the Holiday Inn.
The regular Holiday Inn breakfast was just so-so; buffet-style:- scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, potatoes, waffles or pancakes, yogurt, cereal, apple and orange juices, english muffins.
The outdoor pool was nice and clean but un-heated.
The exercise room is small with only three exercise machines.
Some areas of the hotel are showing signs of wear/tear on the walls.
The hotel is pet friendly.
The luggage trolleys are three-wheeled and have poor stablity. Putting anything at the front of the trolley tends to make it tip over to one side.

I accidentally booked my room through Expedia, not Holiday Inn. The price wasn't much cheaper but you get the worst rooms and service this way. Staff was almost rude when I inquired how my reservation was through Expedia. Nobody greeted us coming or going walking past the front desk in thre lobby. Grounds and pool area were very unkept. 2nd floor hall way by stairs smelled like someome puked and nevwe got cleaned up. Very disapointed with my visit. We will be looking for a new hotel to stay in when we visit RI.

I found that the room itself was clean, but in poor condition. Wallpaper bubbled and peeling, windows dirty, and a very strange odor that was hard to deal with.

Nice place, intersection around it is a bit wonky, I suggest entering the parking lot from Rt138

Strong mildew smell everywhere. Carpet felt damp. On the flip side, staff was very friendly.

It’s OK. Half the vending machines don’t work. Had two fire alarms during our stay. Not really their fault I guess but wasn’t pleasant.

Pool area was clean with lots of chairs and tables. Suggest installing a few umbrellas

Classic holiday inn. Showing signs of its age. But ok for a quick stay and close to RI university

My husband and I booked this hotel in order to visit Narragansett. The hotel is located approximately 15 minutes from the beach and was a relatively easy drive.
The hotel itself is nice. It’s an older hotel that’s been remodeled tastefully but, the ceiling in our room showed its age. The room, overall, was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was on the smaller side. You had to close the door in order to use the toilet. Our shower had very little warm water and the warmer (I’m being generous with warm, it was more cold than warm) it was, the less water pressure there was. I did notify the front desk and they sent someone to look at it right away.
The pool was the real gem of this hotel! It was a large, outdoor pool that actually had depth, 8 ft. (most hotel pools don’t go about 5 ft,) The pool area was nicely kept with ample seating, plenty of available towels, and was nicely landscaped.
Aside from the shower issue, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying again on our next trip up.

Our one night stay was better than expected. It is an older building, but it’s been beautifully updated. The beds are super comfy with pristine linens and the all-important pillow menu. The AC was loud and couldn’t be regulated which I forgot to report (Rm 210, mgmt). Don’t worry—it was cold enough, lol!
The attached restaurant, Laconda, I think, was excellent. Italian food which was delicious with possibly the freshest Caesar salad I’ve had. It was quite busy with only one server who did an amazing job, cheerfully. Holiday Inn hasn’t been a first choice for me, but I have a new perspective now.

Great place to stay for a couple of days. We were close to everything we wanted to do/see in the area - Newport, beaches, and the Block Island ferry. The pool was delightful and the entire hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The breakfast was definitely worth the upgrade. We would absolutely stay here again for a Newport trip!

Our stay was very comfortable. Our breakfast was excellent and the dining room staff was extremely pleasant. I believe it was Jen we spoke to in the dining room. She was clearly very proud of the place she works and the people she works with. She had nothing but praise for how hard the work and that shows. We are from Maine and will definitely choose Holiday Inn South Kingstown for our next visit. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

The room carpet had a moist smell. The room had only towels for three people , we were four guest. Also we run out of body wash, those bottles should be refill all the time. The room was never clean the next day . We had to re use the towels . Not happy about it we pay a lot of money for two nights. Staff in the front were awesome !’ In that they have 5 stars z

Great place. Beautiful pool and my room was super close to it as well as the gym and the delicious buffet breakfast although I would love it if they offered a few healthier items.
The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I'd stay here again for certain!
