We never stayed there. The man at the front desk was so rude. We left and went to the marriott warner center. I have stayed there before. I was recommended to the anza. We thought we would try something new. Never again. The rudest person i have ever met. I felt so unwelcome. First time in my 70 years. This has happened to me.

The wine bar advertised online is closed. The bathroom walls had gunk on them and the bed’s throw pillow smelled like sex. I have a few bug bites since I checked in so I’m worried about bed bugs now. The bathroom light kept turning off when I was taking a shower. On my first night around 9:30, someone was drilling across the hall from me and I kept hearing a periodic slamming noise when I was trying to sleep. I opened my door to see what was going on and a hotel employee asked me why I was asking about the noise. I had to call downstairs about an issue with the coffee maker and they sent an engineer into my room, which made me uncomfortable because I am a solo woman traveler. Lastly, I had to use my personal phone to call the front desk about the keurig because the phone was broken. There’s a tablet in the room but I don’t know what it’s supposed to be for and I couldn’t get that to work either. I won’t be returning.

This place was in better condition 4 years ago. The access into the building is limited--one main entrance/exit. No other way to get in or out without setting off an alarm. If you are in the "back building"closer to highway it is a LONG WEIRD walk to the room. The elevator is OLD and the inside is gross and full of age, time, fingerprints. Yuck. The hallways have weird laminate and look scroungy. Tile in showers full of mildew. Upkeep overall not good. Definitely wouldnt bother with this place again. Weird crowd staying here that seems dazzled with rich people glitz and celebrity type nonsense. Weird vibe.

Great place with a great location. What can I say. It’s a great hotel and it’s very clean. The staff and the room was nothing short of perfect.

Good spot for anyone wanting to stay in the area.

I stay here every summer. This stay was underwhelming but I still love the location

Decent hotel in a good location. However a failure in customer service. We requested towels and they never came. We called the front desk right after check in explained that our bathroom needed to be re-cleaned since there was still a lot of hair. They assured us they would do so while we were out but never came. Probably won’t be back.

It was great. The service was fantastic. Anything i needed was quickly addressed and solved. Traveling with a senior dog is hard, this place was amazing for him. Quiet and accessible with a small park next door. Fantastic for the kids, who swam their heart away when they weren't at the beautiful beaches 20 minutes away in Malibu. Amazing area, everything convenient, from Trader Joes, 3 minutes walk, or Ralphs, 5 minutes away on foot. Vegan options walking distance, which was the greatest blessing for a family of vegans traveling with non vegans, as great food options for all of us were within the same walking area and restaurants. I cannot say enough wonderful things. The drive to Malibu is beautiful through the canyons, Topenga is 20 minutes away. Just perfectly within all the best stops! Our family of two children, a mom, grandmother and dog, absolutely loved this place and highly recommend! Thank you Anza for the wonderful experience!

I have stayed in this property before and the first time was pretty good so I thought I would give it another shot when I came to California to visit family. Unfortunately, they never notified me that there is a $15 per day parking surcharge so imagine my surprise when I checked out after six days and was informed that there would be a $15 a day charge. when I suggested to the lady that checked me out ( Ashley ) that they might want to notify their guest at check-in. She got argumentative with me and was quite rude. Also, there are flying gnats in the showers as well as the air conditioning dripping on the floor constantly , the elevator was out 3 of the six days that I was a guest all in all it was a decent hotel but definitely will think twice before I stay there again

People got stuck in elevator

Very friendly staff. Available breakfast and coffee but no bar in the afternoon. Watch out for the elevator. Our team got stuck.

booked 6 weeks ahead. got to the hotel at 6:30 p.m. they claimed they overbooked, trying to blame a computer issue the previous morning. that's interesting, because the night before, i got an email offering to upgrade my room, so clearly, the reservation wasn't lost. i got there before two other people who were allowed to get their room, so if there was an overbook, imrooms should be given in order of arrival. my name was written on a list with four others, and I'm 100% certain they booted all of us because we booked through hotels.com/expedia, at a discounted rate, and they wanted more noney from the people who booked directly. i was ina town I'd never been with no place to stay reading other reviews, they've done this before. they're shysters.

They had no elevators working, anytime I went for water it was empty. I had no towels when I got there, and the place seems very dusty. The room and bed were nice, they had no body soap. Not sure if they check the rooms before offering it. But with their systems down we had to use the stairs every time, and there was no apology or recovery with flare.

Pool was very nice

Close to several restaurants, and a nice area.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad time with this hotel, the elevator did not work, the officials, there was one who was even rude, I am leaving this hotel today

very helpful and nice.

Decently nice hotel, some good restaurants close by. The little bistro place inside had kind of a strange smell to it at night. Good coffee/espresso in the morning though. Bed was pretty comfortable and the pool was nice. Everything people say about the showers is true but not really that bad.
3.9
The hotel is nice, but the elevator was broke, the door to the pool area didn’t work. When our room was cleaned the staff didn’t leave any fresh towels. I requested towels multiple times and I eventually got some after 3 hours.

Overall, the hotel is great. The staff was very friendly and helpful as I was traveling with three dogs that being said I think if you’re going to allow dogs, especially larger dogs that you need to have a dog area because there is not really an area for them to go to the bathroom, there is area next to the hotel kind of can be used, but it’s not the best and I was worried that mine we’re going to step on glass. Otherwise, I would’ve given this hotel five stars

The king room I reserved on Expedia was not available upon check in. Was put into a room where the A/C ran all night but never dropped in temperature. Very warm. TV remote didnt work so could not watch TV. There was a missing sprinkler cover in the room. Was told they would refund park fee for the 3 nights due to inconvenience but only refunded one night. Disappointing stay.

Room #300 was excellent, very spacious and comfortable

I would like to share my honest review of the hotel.
The first thing I want to point out is the very thin walls. They are so thin that you can hear the phone ringing in the neighboring rooms and the water running in the sink. Additionally, I want to draw the attention of the front desk staff to the need to be more attentive to guest requests. We arrived as a family on Monday, with a room booked for three (two adults and a 5-year-old child). We found that the bathroom had towels only for two people. While going about our day, we stopped by the front desk to request additional towels for our room, to which we received a positive response. As you can guess, by the evening, the towels had not been delivered. We finally received them on Wednesday when we requested a room cleaning.
I would also like to note that although our room appeared clean at first glance, there were someone else's hair clumps in the bathroom on the counter, as well as in the corridor near the refrigerator. Furthermore, there was absolutely nowhere to hang towels to dry. We ended up hanging them on chairs in the room, but they remained damp.
Additionally, I want to point out that there were many bees around the pool area. It did not feel safe to be there with a child.
Overall, if you don’t spend much time in the room, it is bearable. However, when choosing this hotel, keep in mind the points mentioned above and make your decision accordingly. I would not stay here again.

I checked in June 27 next day went down on June 28 Friday morning somewhere around between nine and 11 when I approached the counter in the kitchen there was two people waiting ahead of me. I was told very rudely by the guy who was working in the kitchen. sit down and wait for my turn so I did that after those two customers were gone waited like five minutes for the guy to call me but he did not. He got on the cash register and playing or whatever he was doing. I Asked him why he refused to wait on me. I told him I have been sitting and waiting to call me.
he refused to answer. I ask him his name. He refused to answer. He refused to talk to me. I was very upset with his behavior. I told him I can go back to room. I don’t have to get coffee and bagel from him. I put it down on the credit card receipt very bad customer service which I’m very sure he crashed it off. I was not expecting this kind of rude behavior and treated lme bad. the girls who were working upstairs on second floor did not speak English . Had a very hard time to communicating with them.
What a horrible experience.
I usually stay in Hilton.
I should have stayed there.
They did not even change my bad sheets.
I asked them twice.
I will not be back in this location.

My partner and I stayed there to go to a wedding in Malibu. Good location walking distance to some good restaurants and breakfast spots. Didn’t have issues getting a parking spot. Rooms were clean, they had a little robot that could deliver items to your room which you could order with a tablet in the room.
3.9
Stayed here about 5 years ago and feel the room could use a serious deep clean- carpet /rugs really dirty.

We loved the friendly bartender, Dominic. But the property allows dogs in rooms and someone close to us had a yippy dog that drove us crazy barking all day. Surely it was left in the room alone, but we couldn’t tell exactly which room it was for the echos. The hallways are not carpeted which may have carried the sound terribly also.

The robot that brings you towels is awesome! Only co.plaint is that the shower gets water everywhere because it doesn't close all the way. Other than that, the place is amazing!

I drive a truck and parking wasn’t great. The parking spots were very small. We went swimming and pool tile was missing/broken. My daughter cut herself on the missing/broken pool tile. Our room was ok. Some of the light fixtures were broken and so was their tablet clock that was at bedside. They had a mirror hanging on the wall to hide holes. It wouldn’t have been so noticeable if the mirror was mounted properly but you could move the mirror completely because it was barely hanging onto the wall. This property seemed nice in pictures but totally catfished us. Was like a motel 6 with makeup on to make it look fancy.

Clean and comfortable room for my family and I. Nice staff. Parking can be a little tight but still managed to find parking each night.
