Really nice hotel but needs a few cosmetic fixes in our King Premium room. It’s almost a high end hotel but not there yet.
Very comfortable but LOUD doors and staff singing in the hallway at 9 in the morning.
They also have robot that I met on the elevator! Parking was not free, tight and not abundant.

The hotel has a great location. There are tons of walkable restaurants and stores. The rooms are large. Deluxe rooms are the same as standard except they don’t back up to the freeway. The “deluxe” rooms do face the parking lot and other busy streets.
The hotel staff ranges from excellent to downright rude. There are staff that are kind, friendly and are great at their jobs. There are others that are so rude that I would avoid them at all costs. Questions receive completely different answers depending upon who you ask.
Guests smoke in the hotel
regularly and it is difficult to keep the smell of marijuana out of your clothes. The room that I stayed in, has bugs that come in and out from a hole where the bathtub and tile floor meet. A pest control person visited when I was not at the hotel, and I was told mom bugs were found. I have photos of beetles and cockroaches. Many things in the hotel rooms are broken. Guests complain about the same things, and most staff act surprised when informed. If there’s a line at the front desk, you’ll hear the same complaints over and over. Most staff pretend the broken a/c, tvs, lamps, lights, etc. are concerns they’ve never heard before.
The hotel actively advertises a restaurant/bar but it hasn’t been in operation for at least a year.

This place was horrible especially for the price. The room was not the cleanness. There was hair in the shower, the floors were dirty, the shower head was dirty, the vent in the bathroom was dirty, stains on the rug. And everything was in poor condition. There was holes and scuff marks all over the walls. The handle on the bathroom door was falling off, paint job was messed up, the closet doors were not hung correctly, cracked titles.
And then there was the staff member who was working the night we checked in. He was rude, didn’t give us any information on the hotel, fee’s, nothing. Before we got to the hotel I had called to ask a question and he was rude on the phone as well. He had a very bad attitude and even though he didn’t know why we were staying there it was not a pleasant start to our stay. We were only staying there because we got evacuated from our house due to a fire and after a long and stressful day, being welcomed with rudeness made it worse. Never staying there again or recommending it

We never stayed there. The man at the front desk was so rude. We left and went to the marriott warner center. I have stayed there before. I was recommended to the anza. We thought we would try something new. Never again. The rudest person i have ever met. I felt so unwelcome. First time in my 70 years. This has happened to me.

The wine bar advertised online is closed. The bathroom walls had gunk on them and the bed’s throw pillow smelled like sex. I have a few bug bites since I checked in so I’m worried about bed bugs now. The bathroom light kept turning off when I was taking a shower. On my first night around 9:30, someone was drilling across the hall from me and I kept hearing a periodic slamming noise when I was trying to sleep. I opened my door to see what was going on and a hotel employee asked me why I was asking about the noise. I had to call downstairs about an issue with the coffee maker and they sent an engineer into my room, which made me uncomfortable because I am a solo woman traveler. Lastly, I had to use my personal phone to call the front desk about the keurig because the phone was broken. There’s a tablet in the room but I don’t know what it’s supposed to be for and I couldn’t get that to work either. I won’t be returning.

This place was in better condition 4 years ago. The access into the building is limited--one main entrance/exit. No other way to get in or out without setting off an alarm. If you are in the "back building"closer to highway it is a LONG WEIRD walk to the room. The elevator is OLD and the inside is gross and full of age, time, fingerprints. Yuck. The hallways have weird laminate and look scroungy. Tile in showers full of mildew. Upkeep overall not good. Definitely wouldnt bother with this place again. Weird crowd staying here that seems dazzled with rich people glitz and celebrity type nonsense. Weird vibe.

The hotel needs another ice machine. There is only one ice machine in the basement which is broken. Additionally, the lock to the hotel room was very fickle. We had to play with it in order for it to lock when leaving the room.

Convenient hotel for hanging out in Calabasas.
Beds and pillows were the worst for me. Staff wasn’t friendly, but not rude.
Next trip I’ll find another place.

This place is run down, smelled horrible. The button for the elevator to go up had been pushed back inside the housing and was sparking last night. The parking lot was full of construction workers who were staying at the hotel, getting drunk and throwing bottles in the bushes. The place was very dirty, cabinets were broken, toilet, didn’t flush correctly and the air conditioner in two separate rooms leaked from the ceiling onto the floor in the entryway. The staff was very nice though, and location was great to walk to restaurants.

Unfortunately, we got a different hotel after one night here. I wanted to love it because of the location, but we had no hot water, the bathroom was dirty with a faucet that broke off. No sheets or towels. AC was barely working. Also- neighbors were partying all night and even into the morning. Only one staff member out of 4 we spoke to (multiple times) was helpful and understood our concerns/disappointment.

The A/C went out on the third day and also no ice. Fire alarm went off every morning around 7 when the bistro opened also.

The building needs work. Our floor hallway smelled like poop. AC lacking in the gym and we had one night of no A/C in the building. Thin walls and ceiling You can hear people walking above you. In our case they were walking around all night.
Location is great though and their staff is kind and professional.

The hotel complex had a lot of potential. Parking was an absolute nightmare. The spots were so small that most people had to park double which created a problem for a parking for others. Our room was good size and pretty cute, but it was extremely dirty. There was a little round carpet under the table that was so gross. It actually smelled. The sink had this rancid smell of sulfur and it was so dirty that it smelled up the whole room, I asked three different times if somebody could come take a look and nobody ever addressed it Was just really filthy. The room just overall didn’t seem like it had been cleaned Well there was mold in the shower. The beds were comfy and there was a lot of space to move around.

It's my second time staying here. I visited the same hotel about 2-3 years ago. During my recent visit the quality of this hotel still stands up! We also had a Peloton bike in our hotel to perform a pre-morning workout:)

The first room I got was not cleaned and had a spider hanging from the ceiling. The second room didn’t have shampoo or conditioner and I didn’t find out until I was already in the shower. They did replace the shampoo/conditioner but the next morning when I took a shower it was ice cold. I waited a bit and tried again and it was still ice cold so I wasn’t able to take a shower. The room next to me was playing base music so loud that I couldn’t hear the TV in my room. I could still hear the loud music even with headphones on. I’ve stayed with Anza before and they are usually really good. This was definitely my first bad experience staying here.

Great place with a great location. What can I say. It’s a great hotel and it’s very clean. The staff and the room was nothing short of perfect.

This is a very nice hotel in general. Very bright and modern rooms & hallways. Friendly staff and close to some great restaurants & shopping. The only negative was that the ice machine broke on our 2nd day, during a very hot time. We had to purchase ice twice outside the hotel. Otherwise, highly recommended.

I stay here every summer. This stay was underwhelming but I still love the location

Decent hotel in a good location. However a failure in customer service. We requested towels and they never came. We called the front desk right after check in explained that our bathroom needed to be re-cleaned since there was still a lot of hair. They assured us they would do so while we were out but never came. Probably won’t be back.

It was great. The service was fantastic. Anything i needed was quickly addressed and solved. Traveling with a senior dog is hard, this place was amazing for him. Quiet and accessible with a small park next door. Fantastic for the kids, who swam their heart away when they weren't at the beautiful beaches 20 minutes away in Malibu. Amazing area, everything convenient, from Trader Joes, 3 minutes walk, or Ralphs, 5 minutes away on foot. Vegan options walking distance, which was the greatest blessing for a family of vegans traveling with non vegans, as great food options for all of us were within the same walking area and restaurants. I cannot say enough wonderful things. The drive to Malibu is beautiful through the canyons, Topenga is 20 minutes away. Just perfectly within all the best stops! Our family of two children, a mom, grandmother and dog, absolutely loved this place and highly recommend! Thank you Anza for the wonderful experience!

I have stayed in this property before and the first time was pretty good so I thought I would give it another shot when I came to California to visit family. Unfortunately, they never notified me that there is a $15 per day parking surcharge so imagine my surprise when I checked out after six days and was informed that there would be a $15 a day charge. when I suggested to the lady that checked me out ( Ashley ) that they might want to notify their guest at check-in. She got argumentative with me and was quite rude. Also, there are flying gnats in the showers as well as the air conditioning dripping on the floor constantly , the elevator was out 3 of the six days that I was a guest all in all it was a decent hotel but definitely will think twice before I stay there again

Very friendly staff. Available breakfast and coffee but no bar in the afternoon. Watch out for the elevator. Our team got stuck.
