We never stayed there. The man at the front desk was so rude. We left and went to the marriott warner center. I have stayed there before. I was recommended to the anza. We thought we would try something new. Never again. The rudest person i have ever met. I felt so unwelcome. First time in my 70 years. This has happened to me.

The wine bar advertised online is closed. The bathroom walls had gunk on them and the bed’s throw pillow smelled like sex. I have a few bug bites since I checked in so I’m worried about bed bugs now. The bathroom light kept turning off when I was taking a shower. On my first night around 9:30, someone was drilling across the hall from me and I kept hearing a periodic slamming noise when I was trying to sleep. I opened my door to see what was going on and a hotel employee asked me why I was asking about the noise. I had to call downstairs about an issue with the coffee maker and they sent an engineer into my room, which made me uncomfortable because I am a solo woman traveler. Lastly, I had to use my personal phone to call the front desk about the keurig because the phone was broken. There’s a tablet in the room but I don’t know what it’s supposed to be for and I couldn’t get that to work either. I won’t be returning.

This place was in better condition 4 years ago. The access into the building is limited--one main entrance/exit. No other way to get in or out without setting off an alarm. If you are in the "back building"closer to highway it is a LONG WEIRD walk to the room. The elevator is OLD and the inside is gross and full of age, time, fingerprints. Yuck. The hallways have weird laminate and look scroungy. Tile in showers full of mildew. Upkeep overall not good. Definitely wouldnt bother with this place again. Weird crowd staying here that seems dazzled with rich people glitz and celebrity type nonsense. Weird vibe.

Great place with a great location. What can I say. It’s a great hotel and it’s very clean. The staff and the room was nothing short of perfect.
