We traveled from Maine & this hotel was extremely nasty. We didn't dare take a shower. The bathroom walls looked someone puked on them. Never again. We only stayed because it was late & we were tired.

Good place to stay any day of the week

There was no hot water to shower. The sign in the lobby says they serve coffee only. But they never have coffee out for guests.

Soap dispenser empty in shower, clerk had attitude and would not give us towels when asked

The property is old and dated and in need of some repair or attention. They are however working on doing some updates but have many to go.

property obviously undergoing extensive makeover .The staff however is fantastic .Well located for good restaurants and fast food places .Easy on and off Freeway .The handicap room needs work .just let staff know what is lacking and it goes on their prority list .I would stay again .Needs more washer and dryers.

Rein's Deli! Nice neighborhoods nearby in which to walk.

The property is old and in need of updating. It seems to be getting done to some rooms and areas slowly but it could be cleaner abd some of the old upholstered furnishings in the rooms is stained and needs to be discarded.

Our room had bed bugs and a broken toilet seat

Very very outdated. Price matched the quality of the stay.

The bed was uncomfortable, I had a very bad night. If you are looking for one night sleep it a good place to stay, but for longer stay I do not recommend it.

This hotel has bed bugs! Changed rooms 3 different times, each room has bed begs in them.

no coffee maker in the room, but there was in a friend's room. no one got us more coffee when we asked. the friend's tv did not work. heavy disinfectant smell. quite run down

Dirty walls, but overall, it was fine for one night stay. Hopefully I will not have to stay here again.

The check in and out staff were very friendly, kind and considerate. The room was a comfortable temp as it was 95 outside. Very clean room with bright comfy beds. Heard no noise and slept well. The room price was perfect too. I would like to commend the front desk women, whom I will guess is the owner, who was handling a difficult client in a very warm and kind manner. She must be a pro in conflict resolution. We will stay here again as we have family in town and visit frequently. Thank you.

The Red Roof Inn in Vernon has very friendly helpful staff. The hotel is old and shows a lot of wear but our room was clean and well stocked. It was a perfect quick one night stop on a longer trip. It is right next door to Rein's Deli which has delicious food.

I would give a higher rating if there had been hot water. The mattress was not modern. Window was so dirty I couldn't see my car.

Reasonably priced. The Vernon Diner very close by is excellent. Great food and pastries.

If we weren't stuck with no options on a holiday weekend, we'd have left. Family-owned businesses are great, but the young person who checked me in had no idea what she was doing, unfortunately. Once we got through a rocky check in, she handed me my key and I asked her about the next room. She said, you only had one and I showed her my reservation for two rooms. Reservations were placed Feb. 5 for Memorial Day weekend, last weekend in May with a very important request for side by side rooms. Our 85 year-old grandmother was not placed next to us as requested almost 4 months in advance so we were not as near to her in the event of an emergency or danger, which had us all on edge. Clerk was apathetic. When my father-in-law came walking into a side door of the lobby while I was still checking in and said that seemed very unsafe, the staff said, quote, "Don't worry about it." Fire door has signage but doesn't close! Hotel stunk of dog pee in every corridor. Our rooms were filthy, we have almost forty photos of filth on walls, floors, doors, the toilet, microwave, gnats, bugs. Splashes of food filth on the bed skirts. Used a bath towel to mop up some water and the floor turned it black. There was sludge on the toilet seat that wiped away with ease when we cleaned. We were only able to stay because we asked the front desk for bleach & a cleaning rag and cleaned the facilities ourselves. They were supposed to send someone to clean and they did not. Poor service across the board.

The guests next door to us screamed and yelled all night long until5:30 am.Took an hour and a half for someone to fix our tv.Fridge had defrosted and we had water all over the floor when we got into the room.

I did not get the room I reserved. It was late at night by the time I checked in, so I didn't bother to complain (They were also at capacity). The bathtub was very dirty. I didn't bother showering. Although I requested a non-smoking room, the room did have an odor of smoke. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. I needed a place to sleep for about 4-5 hours and it fit my needs. If I needed a longer stay, I would've selected a different hotel. Good location to 84 and Diner nearby

Mattress was incredibly uncomfortable the springs were all caving in but not only that I woke up with itchy red bite marks on my torso the next day. My husband said he could smell pot smoke all night long. And the breakfast doesn’t open until 7 so I can’t speak to that because it’s so late (probably so no one can take advantage). The place needs a major update it’s awfully old and worn out

This was one of the most disgusting hotels I’ve ever seen. Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, there was a cockroach on the floor in the middle of the room, and one of our hotel keys was broken so she gave us the hotel master key which seems like a terrible security issue, since we could have accessed any room in the hotel

There were bed bugs in my bed and I had to be treated by a doctor to fix the bite marks !!! I will never come back to red roof inn. Bed bugs are unacceptable.

During our 3 day stay, management locked us out of our room each day. This required us to visit the front desk every evening to recode the door keys upon our return to our room. Only 2 towels in the room for 3 day stay. Iron was rusty with bare wires, when we asked for a newer iron, management was frustrated.

The property is in very poor shape overall. Our room had human waste on the wall. The television was stuck on one channel throughout the entire property. Management was unhelpful bordering on rude. We did not expect four-star accommodations, however basic cleanliness and helpful management are reasonable expectations for any level of hotel.

Needs major renovations

It was not good for one day as my first room 227 was bed bug infested but later changed to room 214 which was better. Chairs and sofas in the room are stained.
