Nice view nice location. Completely overpriced room is old and plain looking. Restaurant. On site Completely ridiculous no service or direction on where to sit or order

The bed was rock hard, pillows were crap and bath towels with not the best. Hall ways were loud from other guests yelling at all hours.
However, the dining staff was very kind and coffee downstairs was delicious. There was not coffee in our room which was a bummer. The venue is beautiful and has great potential. We were looking forward to enjoying Azure, however the temperature in the lounge was in the 50s!! No thanks!

We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but left after one. The room was horrible and not worth the price nor the caliber described. The room had a smell. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. We heard noises all hours of the night from hallway. The heat/ac coming on and off was very loud and did not properly regulate. The shower in the bathroom did not work. Walking down the hallway could see missing pieces of the wall and floor boards. We asked for a refund and still waiting for hotel reply. Best they could do was remove resort fee which is comical. Recommend not offering this hotel it’s a hoax and scam especially considering the price they charge per night.

This is an older hotel and it has not been updated. The overall decor, and materials in room need to be replaced. It’s okay for being in Asbury, but would not book again at that price.

I think paying $75 per night to park when staying at the hotel is a little high. Maybe $75 for the 2 day stay makes a little more sense.

Loved the pool!

Staff is great. Room is very dated.
Over charged for my second night stay. Very disappointing.
Will not use this service again.

Service was very good and courteous. Cafe was excellent and the restaurant Azure was more like a strip club environment. However, the food and service were good.
The room was dated, torn curtains and carpet near the bathroom as well. Also, much noise from the bar across the street until 3am on Friday night.
The bathroom was also very dated but clean.
Wondering if we were given this room because we have a dog? He is a support Dog and very well behaved and trained. We paid the extra "pet" fee and were expecting much better accommodations.
The lobby was very comfortable and nicely decorated.

$75 to valet park a bit excessive

Said we had an ocean view. We did not. Run down. The room made no sense. Tv in weird place. Just dumpy all round. Overpriced. Good location.

Our room was dated. The extension cord plugging in the mini fridge which sits directly on the floor, was cut and clearly unsafe. The carpet was wet. The room was dingy. There is no parking and to valet it is $100 extra fee. Kind of a scam

$100 per day parking for guests of the hotel is ridiculous!

This is our 3rd time staying at the Berkeley (3 times since 2020). Honestly--while we still love the hotel/location, it feels like it has gone down hill a bit. Our room while extremely clean had a tiny bathroom with a toilet that "sang" for quite a bit after you flushed it. The TV didn't work for us--and the staff would come up and fix it while we were out, but it was frustrating we couldn't independently turn it on. And the KEYS---I understand hotel keys can become disabled if near a phone or credit card--but literally over the course of a weekend, they only worked for us 2 times. Each time we had to go to the front desk to have them reset.
The pool- while a highlight our last 2 visits, was a little depressing this time. The chairs are old/need a paint job--and the staff seemed really overwhelmed to be helping people at the pool. Not placing blame on them, I'm sure there was a lot going on. But this was a highlight in previous visits, and just wasn't the same.
We're rooting for the Berkely--just praying it comes back to life a bit.
This property has a ton of potential, and is nostalgic "Asbury Park".

The location is the only reason I’d go back - great walkable area. The hotel is very old and in need of upgrade. Clean enough, but serious need of upgrades. The blackout curtains were worn out and when closed, the sun shined thru like twinkle lights. Again, great location, very out dated and old rooms.

Uninterested staff, terrible food at the hotel’s restaurant, small pool, and overall underwhelming “hotel” located right next to the beach and boardwalk. They charge exorbitant nightly prices and then tack on a nearly $29 service charge plus $75 to park in their lot (street parking is scarce).

We had a good stay at the hotel. However we had some problems with the lamps in our room. One didn’t work and the other one was hard to turn off. Especially at night when we were trying to sleep.

Staff is super nice. Hotel is very clean. Our rooms were spacious

The batheoom was disappointing. Very low sink. No shelf or counter in the B R to put your items. Otherwise very happy with our stay

Not having parking pass included in price is a big miss. Valet is very expensive per day and meter parking takes away from ultra convenience of staying here. I hope they change this policy in the future and go back to enabling a reasonable self parking in the hotel lot.

Bathrooms have vanity or space for anything you would need to use in a bathroom.

I would have liked a coffee option in the room.
I think with the proximity to the boardwalk there should be a reciprocity arrangement to the beach for entry and towels.

Great location and staff were pleasant. Room left a little to be desired - broken light fixtures and furniture, Tv didn’t work, toilet didn’t flush properly and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom when I arrived.

Loved that boardwalk and convention center within walking distance. Hotel decor seems dated esp

I like the history behind the hotel. I enjoyed looking at the old photos of people on the beach. The staff was fantastic.

This hotel is extremely outdated and poorly kept. My room was insanely humid and moist, I’ve stayed in plenty of beach properties and never had it this bad. There was a lingering mold-like scent and the walls are paper-thin, I called the front desk to ask for a bowl for my dog for water and they never brought one up. They advertise having parking but did not mention it was valet only at $75/day-ontop of the already insane cost per night for this rundown hotel. I was coming and going quite a bit and had to park on the street which wasn’t easy with all the events happening around the area, beach goers and other hotels. I was so uncomfortable and couldn’t breathe with the moldy-smell and humid, damp room I ended up leaving late on my last night of my reservation and going home early. I probably won’t be staying here again.

Super convenient to the beach and easily walkable around town!

Dirty old hotel, soap dish broke off right away in the shower. We didn’t have hot water in our shower. The pool was warm but the lining was coming up and it made it dangerous to walk in. We found out parking was an extra 75$ a day to park onsite. Street parking was tricky but cheaper. Not worth the money will stay somewhere else next time.
