The staff was very friendly. The room was clean. It was quiet at night but the bed was not very comfortable.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Room very clean and bed was comfortable. We were traveling to the UP and this was a last-minute choice as we were too tired to continue driving. No regrets.

Amazing place to stay. Breakfast was adequate and the pancake maker was cool. Pool was very nice. I think the hot tub needed some work, but it was still very nice. I will stay there again.

The hotel workers were friendly, the place was clean. They could improve their breakfast choices.Another thing i didnt like was the lighting in my room. I was staying in a king room with a couch in an alcove. There were 2 lamps next to the couch that just would not turn on. I took a working lightbulb from another lamp and screwed it into one of the non working lamps and it still didnt work so i assume they didnt plug it in. I tried to do it myself and had to lean and reach so far that i fell (hard) on the coffee table in front of the couch. I was surprised the table didnt break! I injured both of my knees. Not a great start to a vacation dedicated to hiking. Maybe if you have a dark alcove you can plug the lamps into their electrical outlets. It would have been appreciated by this customer!

The front desk staff & maintenance man were very friendly! And the breakfast was amazing; best biscuits and gravy we've ever had! Unfortunately, we were lied to by housekeeping. After cleaning our room halfway through our stay, she said she had put new clean sheets on the beds. Upon climbing into bed that night, there were brown spots on the sides and a purple stain in the middle. The bottle of shampoo in the shower was empty when we arrived and was still empty when we checked out, despite asking the housekeeping lady if it could be filled. The indoor pool was gross with dead bugs, some kind of slime/mucus & what appeared to be dog hair floating in it.

What a surprise!! Big beautiful room for a fantastic price.

A little noisy being next to the hwy. but nothing to really complain about if your used to that kind of noise.

Nice hotel.

The room was spacious, had all the necessary features, great breakfast, pool, workout room and whirlpool were great, but the best part was the friendly and helpful staff. They made us feel like we were at home.

Nice lobby, sitting area. Room was good sized. Had to request hairblower from desk because one in room wasnt working and were given one right away. Pool and hot tub area was great and open late into the night which was nice for relaxing in hot tub after a hectic evening. No complaints and consider it a good deal for the price.

Very large rooms, everything worked everything clean.

Minor issues: The bathroom door lock was a little hinky. You had to turn it a couple of times to get the door to open. The coffee in the breakfast room had grounds in it two days in a row, so whatever they are doing wrong, they are doing it consistently. The pancake machine is pretty cool, but maybe offer sugar free syrup. Great place overall. We'd go back.

Our family liked the pool, quick drive across the bridge to Duluth.

Hotel was updated, looks good, breakfast could be a bit better with a waffle maker.

Front desk employee was nice overall. The breakfast bar wasn't all that u don't have many choices to choose from. Checked in, and switched rooms right away. The second room wasn’t much better. The bed/mattress was broken on both side. You literally sunk in it. Room smelled funny, like old smoke or something. Even though it was a smoke free facility. TV didn’t work, and kept saying the prescription/service had expired. There were no shows for the kids to watch. The pool and hot tub were about the same temperature, and just warm. The bubbler and jet system on the hot tub didn’t do anything, and there was so much chlorine it burned our eyes. Charges and some outlets didn’t work. Due to the usb plugging not charging my phone, I had to buy a wall block from the front desk. I could have went to a nicer hotel, for the same price. Had I known I would have cancelled and re-booked elsewhere. By time, I realized all other hotels in the area were booked for the room type similar. This place has really gone down hill over the years, not impressed at all. Probably won’t book again.

The gal who checked us in was great. She was the only good thing about this place. The price is insane for this property. The beds are beyond needing replacement. There was a room that had the door proped open with the room just destroyed. The whirlpool looked to have never been cleaned. The vents were all extremely rusted in the pool area. Advertised full hot breakfast however the breakfast was cold coffee, juice. Yogurt. Hard boilded eggs. Some cold sauage gravy. And some stale bread. My card was overcharged 5 times by their vendijg machines. My son left his toy in the room, we knew where he left it, called and now it was gone. I would never stay at this property or recommend it especially when you are charging almost 300 per night.

First time staying here and would stay here again. Close proximation to downtown Superior and Duluth. Noise proof rooms. Barely heard another soul. It was clean and comfortable. Even though it is smoke free it smells heavily of smoke (on the 1st floor anyway) when you initially walk in the side door. I think if they took out the carpet and put in different flooring that would be fixed. Also, could use some mattress and bathroom door updates. Both were a bit noisy. Also, the breakfast was lovely, but it would be nice to have a hot breakfast option besides pancakes.

Beautiful hotel, clean, the food service man in the morning with the Nirvana shirt was hospitable and friendly and helpful.

It was quiet

The hotel was fine. Entryway, breakfast bar area, and the pool were all great. The rooms were okay - I just had a bad experience because one set of sheets was really dirty. I went to the front desk and got new sheets and a comforter and we didn’t have any issues after that.

Staff was excellent, great pool and sauna, loved the room, perfect inexpensive spot to stay not too far to drive to area attractions!

Very nice place.

Didn’t think it was worth 144.00 a night. Billboard outside my window even with the curtains closed light came in. Just was disappointed. Had to actually get out of bed to turn the tv on and off remote wouldn’t do it.

Nice location easy to get around

Breakfast was disappointing. No eggs or meat. Paid $160 for one night and it wasn’t worth the price.

Money wasn’t worth what we paid for. Room not very clean. Housekeeping left the pile of dirty sheets in the room. Bottles of shower stuff all empty and no bar of soap to wash hands. Staff really struggled with NEW computer system- maybe some additional training.

Beautiful Northwoods lobby with pine accents and impressive taxidermy. Our room was beyond spacious, it was palatial in size. Pine trim continued into the room which was a refreshing departure from having four sad beige walls. And, to top it all off…THE TOWELS ARE SUPER SOFT!
