The new-since-we-were-there-in-2023 curtains are good, There are of a blockout dark grey colour and they fill the window opening.
This time we had a bathroom were the shower was next to the bathroom door which made maneuvering in and out of the shower somewhat difficult, even for the not-large person in our room.

A bit difficult for us to find but we just needed to open our eyes

Conveniently closed to the train station. Nice staff. Nice restaurant. Convenient late hours bar with food. The only problem was that the third bed was wet and we keep getting water from who knows where. But it wasn't a big deal. We ended up staying two nights.

Great deal for a night literally across the street from the train station. Clean enough, quiet, small but for the price much better than the old options. Toilet did not work though.

The restaurant in the hotel is again a restaurant rather than a burger joint, which is a Good Thing as the Asian restaurant in the gare has closed down. We avoid going out and about in the streets around the gare in the evening so a decent restaurant in the hotel is welcome.

It was close to city center and next to central station where you can use the subway or buses in city. Also connection with other cities of France and nearby airport can be made easily from here.
Rooms are normal but the worst thing is there's no plug on neither headboard of the bed or inside the bathroom. Only under the desk.
Overall, it was an efficient stay.

Right next to the train station

Really convenient location for Gare Marseille St Charles. The hotel is super quiet and also a great option for someone like me, travelling alone, I could eat in and not have to brave the streets around which are quite busy.
4.0
Location is right beside the train station and has dining options as well.
4.0
bed uncomfortable; pillows uncomfortable; wall outlets badly placed for charging devices (under desk); air conditioning not working; tried to open window but noisy (with trains) and no screen (letting bugs in). Would not stay here again.
4.0
Decent hotel right at the train station. Noisy, but pleasant and well kept
4.0
Avoid Marseille, a terrible and dangerous city, all over the place.
4.0
Friendly staff, quiet rooms and comfortable beds. Also very ideal location next to the main train station.

A short walk from the train station. It is completely secure requiring hotel card entry at night and for the lifts. Its a 15 minute walk away from the old port which is a great place to eat and drink

Located really well and very clean

Hotel room was tiny, bathroom was even smaller, very compact, struggled to brush my hair without banging the wall. bed very uncomfortable and bathroom full of ants all over the floors and up the walls in the bedroom however location was great and reception staff and bar staff lovely and breakfast was very good

It was very good location, just minutes to train station and breakfast good

Ok, mitt rom var lite. Særlig badet var veldig lite. Dette hotellet trenger oppgradering. Helt greit til en overnatting. Frokost var bra.

The location was perfect for us as it was close to the train station, metro and airport bus. Just 2 metro stops to the old port. Good restaurants all around the area.

For brief stay for rugby was fine.

A very pleasant stay in a conveniently located hotel. Staff are friendly and facilities are normal for an Ibis red hotel. Beware that there is no kettle or fridge in the room . I did not have breakfast there because I did not want a big breakfast so the 11 euro buffet was not required

On the second night, the bathroom was a little whiffy. The next morning, the bathroom was definitely smelly. I discovered a brown pool of liquid which seemed to have leaked from the bottom edge of the toilet onto the floor between the toilet and the bathroom window.

The first room I was given was similar to a hostel room, tiny with a bed that looked that the matress was falling to the floor. After complaining, the staff member upgraded me to a room that is bigger, but was tailored for people with disabilities, so no shower curtain. The other room was big and clean

We stayed here as a stop over for one night. Very convenient location, right next to the Saint Charles railway station. Getting in and out is very easy. Unfortunately there was a lot of rubbish in the surrounding area of the hotel near the train station (not their fault). Room size was decent, however shower is on the smaller size. Rooms and hotel is quite dated but good for one nights stay and the price. Easy 10-15 minute walk to port with lots of restaurants.

Buffet breakfast was great, with a lovely outdoor terrace to enjoy it on, and the cafe was also great. The rest was disappointing - room was horribly hot, even with aircon on max, in normal 30C summer heat, bathroom teeny tiny, room key cards would just stop working and need to be reset, witnessed several very unhygenic practices from cafe and restaurant staff, no luggage storage room like most hotels but instead expensive lockers. Could be a great hotel if they improve their air conditioning system, offer standard amenities and train staff better.

AC unit did not cool the room. It was difficult to sleep due to the heat in the room. Room was very small.

Alles was ok.

Great location at the train/bus/tgv/metro Saint Charles station.
We spent 5 nights in June/2023 on the 4th flor, in a room with great City view. A quick storm at 7PM sent sleet through the window and wet the floor. After 1 hour waiting, the reception desk had nobody available to even bring towels for us to dry the floor. We did it ourselves. The sofa, which becomes an extra bed, is not comfortable. We found a large diadem below the sofa on the 4th morning, indicating that nobody from the cleaning team had seen It before.

Rooms and bathroom too small. Slipped stepping DOWN from the shower onto tile floor. Banged body parts on the way down. Not enough room to fall without hitting doors walls etc.

Staff on the desk were friendly and very helpful

Friendly and efficient service from reception staff.

Single big plus of the hotel is the proximity to the main train station. This results in the hotel always being very busy & crowded. The front desk is not the most welcoming or professional. We were on the 1st floor overlooking the parking lot. It’s a very basic budget hotel with some of the smallest rooms & bathroom I have seen in 30 years of my regular travel. No tea/coffee kettle, hard beds and a single pillow. Only giving you the facts. I know if it’s a good rate you’re getting, people will book it.

Was a climb to get to the hotel if walking from the city

Very convenient for the train. Quiet. Clean. Good breakfast.

This is an awesome location beside the train station. View was great and it's only a short walk to delicious dining spots. The bed was comfortable and the shower perfect. The only downside was the unsavory men hangibg aroubd outside and approaching us.

Good stop-over hotel, located next to central train station.
A few minutes walk to the Vieux Port area; there are plenty of cafes, small shops in the neighborhood.
Quick check-in and check-out. Friendly, helpful and welcoming personnel. Single room is not big, equipped with a basic furniture set: tv, a bed, clothes hangers, a desk. Not much cooling from AC or it was not operating properly. Very slow elevator.
There is a bar in the reception area, including a bookshelf, nice place to take a rest in the evening.
Breakfast is a bit overpriced (12.9 EUR) for what they offer, no fried eggs, no vegetables.

Very convenient to the train station and especially to the rental car counters in Marseille.
