Make sure your room is on the second floor above ground level or higher. There was a very loud function in the event room on the ground level that didn’t end until 1:00AM that made it impossible to sleep. Irritating as we had a very early start the next day.

A good location in Salzburg, 2 nice restaurants, very friendly & helpful staff, high quality linens and timely maid service give an old world feel to an updated boutique hotel owned by a local family corporation. In short: charming, efficient and unpretentious.

Beautiful hotel, clean, comfortable, amazing location. We had two rooms for our family of 5 people, and while we we saddened to have to depart a day early, we would absolutely recommend the location for any families looking to stay in Salzburg. We hope to be back.

clean and a free glass bottle of water was on table . You have to insert room key card into the slot for electricity to work. We had access to snacks and drinks at a cost, if we wanted. We did have to climb into the shower which could be difficult if you’re elderly or have hip issues. There was ac and heat with fan running. No street noise heard. Large tv on wall with YouTube and Netflix access. We did not do breakfast, $30 euro. There are places nearby that offer meals, but be careful… 7:00 seems to be the cut off for some places. We enjoyed Cup n Cino diagonal to the hotel, offers a nice selection. There’sa pizza shop around the block, but very thin crust. It’s a 15 minute walk to main train station, Hbh . Do your shopping there at Müllers. It has everything. McDonald’s has a nice breakfast there before your train ride. We bought the Salzburg card for 72 hours but we could have easily seen everything in 48 hours. Buses are included but not as easy to figure out. It’s an easy walk to the bridge and Altstadt, the old part of town where the museums and everything exciting to see is. There’s a nice dessert we didn’t get to try Knöldel (?) . Looks like a big dumpling. There’s lots of ice cream and gelato places so try different flavors (not all places practice good hygiene.. they take money and handle food with same hands😳. We took our chances. Toilets will cost you .50 to 1 euro. We tried a burrito place and they had no toilets but did give us wipes.

Great location, just a few minutes from Mirabell palace and gardens. A fairly easy walk (8 minutes) from main train station. Not in Old Town, but about 10-15 minute walk. Restaurant is excellent and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Rooms were well appointed and plenty of storage space. Staff was warm and helpful.

Good location for access to old town Fussen. Loved the free parking too! It’s on a busy street so we found room with windows open was noisy. Biggest complaint was small small bathroom with dysfunctional shower. You had to step up to a high tub and then the hand held shower head was on long wall making it difficult to shower with water going all over bathroom. Would not stay here again.

Very good service and kindly people. The location is nearby the Garden and train station. The room is quiet and I have a good dream each night. The restaurant also is very good to go for eat. The room is clean. Very good experience !! I will choose to stay in this hotel again while I visit Salzburg.

We had a great stay at Imlauer. Overall a nice hotel relatively close to the Old Town. Front desk was friendly and professional. My only comment would be about rooftop staff. One gentleman almost send us off back to our room saying there is no room and all tables are reserved. We asked another waiter and there was no issue finding us a table.

This was probably the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was expensive, but it was really worth it. We wanted to be in the center of town and have an experience right there around everything going on. It was beautiful and so awesome. We will definitely be back. The staff at the hotel was very helpful with an issue that had nothing to do with our stay. They were very kind and accommodating in every way. Book with confidence!

I was impressed by this hotel. I usually stick to chains because I know what to expect, but this hotel was great. Great front desk service, housekeeping came every day, free waters every day, quiet. Air conditioning worked. It wasn’t freezing cold like in the States, but still felt good after a hot day. We had a king bed and a sofa bed, and space was tight. Upper restaurant was very upscale and modern, cellar restaurant was cozy. Great location, close to lots of restaurants. Was possible to walk to Fortress on the hill. There was a place to book bus or private tours 2 blocks away.

Fabulous situation for walking and bus access, particularly enjoyed the beer keller but that may have been down to the atmosphere as the football was on and England won much to my husbands delight, his reaction also pleased some of the patrons.
