Friday 12/6: Checking in was quick, easy & the lady at the front desk was wonderful. She had a lovely personality & we had a short conversation while we waited on the computer to find my reservation.
Saturday 12/7: I went out to lunch with a few friends while my grandma stayed back in the hotel to catch up on sleep. When I returned around 3pm, she told me that someone from the front desk had called & asked if I “wanted company” in my room. She declined & the man on the other end said he would call back later. (If he did or not, I’m unsure, we were both gone from 3:30pm until well after midnight.) IF it actually was someone from the front desk, how very creepy. It’s creepy no matter what.
Sunday 12/8: check out is stated as being at 11am. The new manager came knocking on my door at 10:15 telling me to check out. Normally I head out well before 10am but I had neglected my packing due to a long night at a public event in Gordonsville. I was under the impression I had 45 minutes to get my things together but he certainly seemed determined to get me out at 10:15.
Other than the creepy phone call & the hasty “you need to check out” manager banging on the door 45 minutes before the stated check-out time, it was a pleasant stay.

Our room was very spacious and clean. Bed very comfortable. Our only suggestions would be to add room darkening shades as light filtering in from above and below the curtains was an annoyance for those of us who prefer darkness to sleep. Also while the worn leather couch is comfortable, it is very hard to get up from as its so low. Could also station the tv between couch and bed ao people have the choice to watch from bed or the couch.

If I were handicapped, I wouldn’t have gotten ice because it was on the second floor. They changed towels and did not remake the bed. No info book about local area restaurants nor a tv guide.

For the price that we pay per night, the hotel is not worth it. It looks rundown and kind of sketchy. The breakfast area wasn’t too clean and it wasn’t appealing at all. We had breakfast somewhere else. They need to do a big renovation to continue charging the prices that they’re charging not worth it.

Couldn’t close refrigerator door due to ice buildup. The breakfast was LACKING. Coffee was weak and tasteless. No protein foods … but if you wanted unhealthy carbs, there were plenty. On the positive side, the mattresses were wonderful. Slept great.

Dirty room! Dated interior. Bums asking for money outside the rooms.

Older facility. If your looking for a cheap place to stay and your willing to overlook the dirty/ stained furniture, it’s ok for a night or two.

repeat customer - good for overnighting with dogs - rooms that face the pool in the interior courtyard are nicest - very big open grassy areas with fairly big pool and firepits and dog walking area actually make it a nice place to spend a few days - rooms facing parking lot don't less so but fine for a quick stay

It was a simple stay. But nice. Quiet. And easy parking. Okay pool and it was okay for a night.

I would never stay here again. First I got over charged what the room was supposed to be. The hotel room was not clean, there was dead crushed bugs in the bathroom towels. There was so much noise every night, the ENTIRE night. Weed smell was SO over powering literally the entire time we were there. And so many people just hung out in the parking lot drinking and smoking, made us feel super unsafe. Possible the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Staff was absolutely amazing. I had accidentally locked my key in my room and they gave me another one with no charge as well as the the key deactivation on a separate occurrence. Both times i was able to get another key free of charge within 30 seconds. I also made a mistake with my booking where i accidentally didn’t select enough days for my stay and the lady at the front desk told me to book it again online. After she said that she also told me the online rates are sometimes cheaper online in which they were in my situation. I got to stay in the same room as well.

Hotel couldnt find the reservation, then called Hotels.com and they couldnt either. When we finally got into our room at almost midnight, after going in circles and waiting almost two hours, it was awful. It wasnt a King bed like we were supposed to get, it smelled like cigarettes in our non-smoking room, there were cigarette burns on the bedding, and we were woken up three more times due to issues finding our reservation. The next day we were told we were in the wrong room and had to move and conditions were no better. We went to a feiends wedding and we didn't feel well the entire time because we were congested from the musty room and i had an upset stomach from the awful cigarette smell.

King room we booked was not available. Put us in a room where the door wouldn't open and second room was so smokey. Therr was glaas on the floor as ypu walked in, noodles in the bathroom and a crack pipe in the kleenex box. Pretty sure it belonged to an employee. So undafe and sketchy. You cannot tell from the pics.

There was no elevator. I didn't know that when making the reservations or I would have gotten a handicapped room on the first floor. I don't like to do that in a hotel with an elevator because we just have problems with steps, not really handicapped. I think when the clerk saw my husband coming in with a cane and then gave us a second floor room with no elevator, wouldn't it be obvious that we needed a first floor room? There were all kinds of able bodied people who had first floor rooms that I saw. Even when I asked about where the elevator was, shouldn't she have asked if she could transfer us to a first floor room???? For that reason I gave a 4 out of 5 for staff. Maybe should have given it a one. Also, the premises are very run down. It looks like they are remodeling a little so don't know if that is going to be taken care of.

Room was clean, remodeling was going on and I was walking on crutches and they said they didn’t have any rooms on first floor, no elevators so I had to walk up and down the stairs. That’s my only complaint

I would stay here again. Convenient location, friendly staff, view of the mountains, pool. Only complaint is we could hear through the walls whenever our neighbors were running water and there were parts of the sidewalks that were being redone.

I just wanted a hot shower and a good nights rest in a clean room and at a reasonable cost. This place is perfect for that, and it even includes a nice little breakfast to get you started in the morning.

Stayed here once on a whim about 4 years ago. Really liked the location and price so I booked it again. We primarily came down for hiking and Waynesboro is a great location for a home base. 10 min to Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline drive. The people were great. Very friendly and the town was good. Had never been to Staunton before and we just kinda went on a whim but that town turned out to be great ! We loved it so much for so many reasons we kept going back almost daily. As for the negatives about hotel the biggest was the AC not really removing moisture so it all was cold and damp. Had many issues with The
access key cards no longer working and having to go to the office and get new ones made. Since our room was only 100 ft away, it wasn’t a big deal and more of an annoyance but many others were also experiencing the same problem and some were far away on second floor, no elevator, and having to lug luggage etc back and forth was far more than an annoyance. Had to get new cards made almost daily, and sometimes several times a day ! The place is in need of an upgrade!! Even for the cheap price. Shout out to the maintenance guy who spends a good hour every day on checking and maintaining the pool. Good work ethic and it showed

Stayed for three nights with my sister and my niece (Wednesday through Saturday). The hotel is older and has been remodeled but it didn't seem that great. No carpet on the floors and no comfortable chair to sit in. There were two chairs around a small table that had the side stripping coming off. The refrigerator seal wasn't sticking well and we hadn't noticed immeadiately, so the food we had in there got soaked due to the freezer starting to defrost itself. Once we noticed that and realized we had to hold the seal while closing the refigerator door, it was fine. The main issue we had was when we got there, there were only two half rolls of toilet paper and literally one tissue in the tissue box. We had towels enough for the three of us but I asked for a few more since we would be there three days. I went up to the front office twice asking for more TP and some more towels and then in the evening ran into the housekeeping manager and asked again. She said they were waiting on the truck and didn't have TP but would bring it by personally when it arrived. No one ever showed up with it in the entire 3 days we were there. We had to go buy our own on the second day. The pool was very nice. No hot breakfast but several options such as oatmeal packages, muffins, banana's and juice. No coffee makers in the rooms but coffee in the breakfast area. It's an okay place on a budget. If you have a little more to spend, I'd go somewhere a bit nicer.

Although this wss an old property it was clean and worth the price I paid. If you're looking for fancy, move on. If you want practical and clean this is your place. Breakfast was alright.
Bread, cereal, muffins, toast, bagels, dresh fruit and yogurt. I would stay here again.
