definitely booking here again, especially for halloween!

Perhaps I've been spoiled by every other hotel in Ottawa, but this was just terrible. My non-competitively priced suite on the second floor was like a movie set depicting a sketchy roadside motel - it had disgusting stained greige carpeting and a squeaky sofa, smelled like years of old cigarette smoke, and was lit by ghastly neon and CFL lighting throughout. At 7:30 am both mornings carts started rolling overhead, I think the room is under some kind of laundry facility or workshop. The neighborhood is also unfortunately not the safest.

Every comfortable and quiet- was able to check in early!!!

Great location. Friendly helpful staff. Basic rooms not updated and when not acceptable due to unclean carpets. We asked to upgrade - there was an additional fee involved. We were there during construction but once that is completed I am sure it will be better

Very disappointed with this hotel. Although it is conveniently located to the parliament, this hotel is a disaster. DO NOT book the classic room. It’s so bad that I didn’t feel comfortable taking my shoes off inside.
The dishwasher had utensils from the previous guests inside.
There were no towels in the room for any guests.
Laundry machine had a random towel sitting on top from previous guest.
When I discussed this at the front desk, I was asked to pay another 40$ for an upgrade.
If you stay here, book a modern room. Do not book the classic room.

Stayed for a night the hotel was easy to get to fm the 417 and it is in a great location to access all of downtown Ottawa and the transit system.

The room was a “classic” suite. The furnishings were rather “distressed”. The floor plan was really good! Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen wasn’t stocked with dish towels. Bath towels were not adequately replaced. If I throw one in the tub, I want a replacement. The windows were single pane and street noise was pretty loud. I didn’t like that they tried to put the charge through before I arrived and I had a new credit card and had to spend time contacting the hotel. Friendly service at checkout though! Overall, great location and a decent stay!

3 night stay in 1 bed classic suite. Initial room smelt musty / unused - replacement much better (clean, well equiped & comfortable if a bit dated). Decent base for exploring the city.

Location is great, walkable to most of the tourist attractions. Room was clean and spacious. Staff were very nice especially Amy, who checked us in. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay in the future.

Overall a very good hotel. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Needed some luggage racks for the room. Had to move the coffee table in the living room into the bedroom to hold luggage. Safe did not work due to a dead battery which was fixed the next morning. Suggest housekeeping checks safe and TV remote batteries when making up the room

Place was fine. I was only there one night. in the future, though, if I were you, I'd would warn anyone staying on the north side of the building on the weekend about the loud punk rock shows from the bar across the street. It didn't bother me but if I was trying to get kids to sleep between 9pm and midnight, it would.

Les Suites is a bargain for what you get. Each 'room' is a suite with a full kitchen (stove, microwave, full fridge, dishwasher) and all the utensils and plates etc to cook and serve a complete dinner. If I were travelling with kids this would be the place.
I like it because it is so close to shopping and all the sites. It's across from Byward Market, next to the Rideau Centre, close to Parliament Hill, Sussex Drive, just everything is with in walking distance. Some great restaurants close by. Area has suffered under Covid but there are lots of people and taxis around to make it safe. Hotel was quiet even though there is traffic going by.
Oh yes, you get a washer and dryer too! So convenient. And the staff are really nice and helpful.

Hotel is very conveniently within a 10-15 min walk to Byward Market, Parliament and Rideau Centre. Loved this part. Parking is not included in the stay. Room was clean. Metal floor transition piece to washroom had screws popping out. Almost snagged feet. Noisy due to busy location. Signed a noise warning agreement for no excessive noise, yet others were super noisy past midnight into 3am made tons of noise. Pillows not comfy at all. Terrible night's sleep.

Our classic room was very disappointing - badly worn and stained carpet that I would not have walked barefoot on, dirty cereal bowls in the cupboard and an air conditioner unit directly above the bed which was full of dust and so noisy that we could not sleep with it on. There was also a lingering smell in the room, not pleasant. On a more positive note, the staff on reception were pleasant, especially the young, fair haired guy on duty when we were checking out - I had no contacts in so did couldn’t see his name, sorry.

Staff were great. Location is good and price was good. Carpet in the rooms was absolutely disgusting. Room stunk like musk. Good staff but would not stay again.

Website says they have parking but upon arrival said they were full and it is first come first serve so had to park done the street - and then move the car again to another paid lot.
Suite was very modern but cleanliness not great- leftover food in the kitchen cupboard from another party and dirty windows and kitchen floor. Housekeeping obviously doesn’t not pay attention to details.
Booked for three adult guests and was only given two large towels so had to ask for more.
Coffee machine was good but creamers provided.

It was close to The Byward Market and other interesting sites however we noticed the surrounding area has become run down from the last time we visited with homelessness, alcohol and drug abuse.

Easy access to all tourist destinations, walkable distance, restaurants around. Room is new renovated, I love the full kitchen as well.

I stayed in a modern king suite. It was beautiful. It was set up like an apartment with a separate king bedroom, a laundry room with a washer and dryer, a separate bathroom, And an open concept kitchen/living room/dining room. Had laminate flooring throughout, And updated furniture. The couch in the living room was a pullout couch, And the king bed was very comfortable. The front staff were very helpful. The underground parking is being renovated at current, so it was a little bit difficult as the in and the out where the same entrance, and it was $33.
I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re trying to get to the Byward market as it’s only a couple blocks away. It is also really close to Rideau Place mall, and the legislature.

The parking available is absolutely terrible. It is a garage that is extremely small and very difficult to maneuver in. They should only tell guests that parking is limited and only for small vehicles. The roof is very low and only an inch above the vehicle when driving through. The antenna on my vehicle was hitting off the pipes on the ceiling. The is very little room to get into parking spaces. The stress this cauzed me during my stay ruined the trip for me. Had i known the situation, I would have paid to park anywhere else and recommend that to anyone that stays here. Park at the Rideau Centre or the public lot that is only a couple blocks away and save yourself the stress of driving through the garage only to find that your vehicle wont fit or that there are no spots left. Very disappointed. Wont be staying there again. The rest of the facility is nice but not worth the stress if you need to come and go by vehicle.

Rooms with carpets are very molded and poses a health risk.

The rooms were spacious and clean. Location was good, the only thing I was worried was the parking, since it was not monitored and also expensive.

We reserved 2 bdrm / 2 bthrm via expedia but we got 2 brdm 1 bthrm because apparently it is on first come basis! No upgrades or refunds were offered. Area around the hotel is quite noisy, clubgoers till 4 am. Homeless people. I got spat on just outside the hotel.

I liked that there was a kitchen and that it was in a good location to the downtown core. The room was not quiet, you could hear people in the hallway and doors slamming. Pool was nice when it wasn’t overcrowded.

The molded caroet areas needs to be renovated. The carpets made me and my kids sick. We siffered our first night until we wrre relocated to another room the next day... meanwhile, we now need medical attention due to how sick we became from the nasty carpet in the room...
