This was a 2 night stay while in GDL on business. I've stayed at Intercontinental hotels before and always been impressed. This visit was a bit of a letdown. The room cleanliness was below average. Carpet in the room and hallway was un-vacuumed and should have been steam cleaned long ago. Upon check in, several items were missing (bottles of water, cups for the bathroom, face towels) and the wifi was about 50% on/off. The guest services lady was very quick to send replacements when I called. However, this is basic stuff and should not happen in a high end hotel. Otherwise the staff were very courteous and helpful. Overall, it's a nice property but management needs to pay more attention.

The hotel is old and outdated. It doesnt feel clean and maintained. The lock on my door was broken (like someone attacked it with a screwdriver) and i couldn't deadbolt my door. There was barely a window which made it extremely dark and dreary in the room. The window was in a corner about 36" wide and looked out between 2 concrete walls - so there was no sun and hardly a view. The lobby bar was extremely loud and since the center of the hotel is completely open - you can hear the party all night long even on the 17th floor. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful during my stay. The best thing about about my room was the shower which was fantastic, but there was no ventilation so it was always humid after.

The Hotel Rooms seriously need Renovations and Repairs. The Housekeeping and Room Service are too slow in the overall Customers Service requests. They all need to be properly Re-trained again. Besides all that, I was very Comfortable during my stay.

I disliked that I had to be moved to another room because the TV and Lock Box were not working.
The day after my room was not cleaned. i had to go to front desk to tell them to clean it. Next day, same thing. The room was not cleaned by 4pm. I told them about it and told them I wanted to lay down besides it was late for it to have been cleaned already. The iron wasn’t working. I had to tell front desk. The first two days there was a lot of noise of large groups staying there. Couldn’t rest.

The hotel had great breakfast buffet, and we enjoyed the pool. It's across the street from a shopping plaza, I'm told it was the first of its kind in Mexico as well as down to South America. A/C in the room was poor, technician could not resolve.

To have the air condition shut down during the day was a huge inconvenience and something that should have been shared before we arrived.
Then the shower leaked in one of our rooms.
This was not a good stay & we left for another hotel room on our final night in Guadalajara!

Facility is great. Love the extra safety feature due to club level door. Did not like that AC broke down, check in staff needed to be a bit more friendly.

We never got to check in to this hotel. When we arrive we were told that the air conditioning was nit working so they put us at a diferent hotel that was not equal to the Intercontinental Hotel.
