The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, the onsite amenities are helpful and the hotel is a great location. Highly recommended this hotel.

This location is ideal to be closer to MIT.I paid more for my stay and at first was given a room with a beautiful view but it had a very strong chemical smell so I asked to be changed.The second one had no smell but was on the second floor and our window had the view of a tent so we couldn't see the Charles River.I would have complained again but It was too late and we were wanting to sleep.For the nightly rate I was charged they should have given me a similar room like the first one.I always stay at this hotel and we enjoyed our breakfast.It was my older sons first time visiting Boston.It was nice we could cross the street and walk next to the Charles River.

The staff are friendly, the location great, the rooms are dated. The biggest issue I have is the hotels resent when you book through sites like Hotels. They want upgrade etc.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and our meeting space was nice. The rooms have a lot of wear and tear...shabby carpeting and the plumbing makes awful noises when you turn on the sink. Just showing its age. But overall, very nice hotel with gorgeous views and lovely staff.

Newly renovated hotel is very comfortable. The lobby is spacious and inviting. Frank and Sherrone are still at the front desk--they are the best and always make us feel at home. The cafe in lobby is very pleasant. Location is fantastic. Pet friendly!

I chose for the location. Hotel was fine-basic, met needs, reception was simple. Thought I had requested a river view but we didn’t get that.

It’s a beautiful hotel, for a great price. Probably not the prime location but I’d definitely recommend it. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms very clean, I also liked the hotel restaurant that has a great breakfast menu. It wasn’t overpriced like in many hotels these days. the food was delicious. The staff starting from valet service, through restaurant and front desk very helpful and extremely polite. Overall it was a wonderful experience, thanks!

Very close to the universities we were visiting

We did an overnight at the Hyatt for a dinner and show in the city. Our room was great, bed was very comfortable and it was quiet despite the fact there were a lot of kids staying when we were there. Parking was pricey but we were in a garage which made me less worried about our car. We had breakfast onsite and the food was excellent, staff was very helpful, overall great experience.

Dried fluid on bedside table. They removed dirty linens but didn’t replace them so 2 of us ended up sharing one wash cloth and hand towel. Nice people

Great location. Room over looking the Charles River. The staff was top of the line

WARNING — Faulty solenoid valve issue makes rooms subject to loud air condition noises! I asked for the quietest available room. There were several rooms available and I was booked into a room on the 5th floor, which the front desk person said was the quietest. I went into the room, got settled for 5m and suddenly there was a loud WHOOSH! sound that almost made me jump out of my skin. I had no idea where it was coming from. I waited 3m and another one. WHOOSH! Unnerved, I called downstairs. I said I would like another room. Mysteriously, all other rooms were suddenly unavailable. They explained that somehow all the other rooms had become unavailable in the last 10m. Perhaps that's possible? They promised to send me an engineer. He finally arrived almost 2 hours later! He came into the room and said that there was nothing I could do about it, and that in fact, all the rooms suffered from this sound. I could not believe it. He said the only recourse was to turn off the ventilation system completely. I pity the people who need to stay in these room in the dead of summer or winter. I pleaded with the front desk to try to find me a room — any room — that might have a chance of having less of this issue. Not only could they not, but they offered no sympathies at all. No reduction in rate, nothing. Truthfully, the front desk people looked like they were 19 years old, and I suspect they are all students studying hotel administration at a nearby school. Never again.

Next to MIT, Boston Univ and Harvard Restaurant is modest for such a big hotel

We stayed here a couple of years ago. It was very convenient to go to downtown or MIT. It is also very safe, which is our main reason to choose to stay.

Amazing evening in my wedding day

We had a wonderful stay and the service was excellent. Special thanks to Mariella who runs the bar and restaurant! She is incredibly accommodating, very friendly, and creates some amazing cocktails. All of the staff are kind and helpful, and breakfast was amazing! We will be back!
